- Texture Background Tutorial -
(what's up with me and tutorials?)
7th tut in the past few weeks, lol.
another tutorial to brighten up your day!
this is a really texture-ish background tutorial.
you will need to erase the background of your picture.
so white background pictures are still the best for this tutorial.
okay, so get your 2 pictures, open up your programme and lets go!
1. We're gonna start with the background.
so take the main texture HERE (http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o121/Pink_842/Textures/hgtexmisc11.jpg). (thanks Sonam/Vanessa_842)
place it wherever you want on your blend.
Duplicate the layer and set at Softlight 100%.

2. Take this next texture HERE (http://www.swimchick.net/visitors/textures/newtextures/text12.jpg) from www.swimchick.net (http://www.swimchick.net) and
place it on your blend so that the top left corner of the texture touches
the top left corner of your blend and set at Softlight 58%.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut7-2.png
3. Another texture HERE (http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/db_blurOverlay029-1.jpg) but I'm not sure who its by.
resize it till the dimensions are about 400x300,
it depends on the size of your blend.
then drag it to your blend and flip it vertically.
place it so that the top right corner of the texture touches
the top right corner of your blend and set at Lighten 100%.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut7-3.png
4. Its quite hard to see the corner of that orangey texture.
so make a new layer under it and take a soft brush in black
and brush in the top right corner below the texture.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut7-4.png
5. Now moving on to the pictures.
Paste your picture into your blend and erase of the background.
Duplicate your base and set the duplicate on Softlight 100%.
You might want to lower the opacity to fit your picture.
Go to the original layer then go to Filter>Blur>Surface Blur.
Set at Radius: 8 and Thershold: 8.
Then sharpen the duplicated layer.
If you don't have these filters then skip this step.

6. Duplicate the picture layer and flip the picture.
place it to the right of your first picture.
Do the same thing to it:
Duplicate and set to Softlight, Surface Blur and Sharpen it.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut7-6.png
7. Paste in your second picture.
Put it on the right side of your blend.
Do the same thing to it again:
Duplicate and set to Softlight, Surface Blur and Sharpen it.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut7-7.png
8. Take this picture HERE (http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o121/Pink_842/Textures/12.png) (thanks Sonam/Vanessa_842)
Place it at the bottom right of your blend.
Invert it (Ctrl I) so that the white becomes black
and the black becomes white.
Delete the white background off.
Give it an outer glow: FFFFBE Opacity 41%
Spread: 5, Size: 21.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut7-9.png
9. Add in your text above that picture and add in any other brushes.
And your done!
