CHAPTER 1
the beginning



"Students," The school secretary's raspy voice came over the intercom, "Would all the chorus geeks- I mean chorus students, please report to
the auditorium after class?" click. brrrrrrrrrrring.
As I waled out the door, I hook arms with my best friend, Ashley.
"Ashley? Did you hear what she said?"
"Yup, Bemble, I did."
"Well, all things aside, how's life treatin ya?"
"The sun continues to rise in the east."
"FABULOUS!"

We sit down on the front row, just as Mr. Bowling procedes up the stairs to the stage. He
clears his throat," Students we have an exciting announcement."
He pauses, " The Jonas Brothers are here to explain."
He sweeps his hand in the direction of the wings. Three amazing looking boys step out.
I shout " Holy Flippin Jonas!" as Ashley screams, "NICK I LOVE YOU!" They look
directly at us and we blush.
Nick steps forward, followed by Joe and then Kevin. Joe takes the microphone and smiles,
"We hear you all have the best voices in Florida!"
screaming. cheering.
Joe hands the mic to Nick.
"Well, we're looking for an opening act for our tour!"
more screams.
It's Kevin's turn.
"So today we're holding auditions!"
I squeeze Ashley's arm. "OW!"
"Heh, sorry."

Twenty minutes wasted getting everyone into groups. Ashley and I aren't in the
same group. CRAP! I need her support. "HI I'm Maddie!" I glance behind
me, hoping someone else is there. Heh, no one's behind me "Um, I'm Embee, but you
can call me Bemble or Skittlez or whatever." She grinned.
NOTE TO SELF: look out for creepy stalker girl.

My group's first and they expect us to sing Still in Love with You, which will be
awkward seeing as I'm a girl. "Embee Davis" I'm up. The stage lights are burning
my face. The music starts:
She was all I ever wanted, she was all I ever needed and more.
At the end of the song, I'm breathing heavily. I recieve a standing ovation from
one person: Ashley.

CHAPTER 1
the beginning[cont.]



Audtitions are finally over and the JoBros smile and announce into the microphone
T H E R E S U L T S A R E I N!!!
Nick is handed the mic. "First, our back-up dancers will be Maddie Rhine and Becca
Jordan, Congratulations!" The both scream and run up on stage. Chicks...
Joe now has the mic, "Our new back-up singers will be," dramatic pause..."Ashley
Stine and Leslie Bell." Ashley has officially freaked out. She's both jumping and screaming.
I shout, "Go Mizzy!" Finally, Kevin is given the microphone, "We would now like to
announce the lead singer," All three lean into the mic, "Will Embee Davis please stand up?"

MY NAME! THEY SAID MY NAME! I float up the stage, in a trance, until I, um, trip and sprawl
across the stage. Joe holds out his hand and says, "I suppose you're trying to imitate me at
the AMAs." He pulls me up and I reply nervously, "Everything but." Nick rushes over and shakes
my hand, "You were amazing." I take my hand back, "Thanks..." I feel my cheeks grow red.

I notice Joe walk over to creepy stalker girl, but NICK WON"T STOP STARING AT ME!! Oh,
heh heh, I've got some dirt still on my face... My cheeks go red as I wipe it off with my sleeve.
"Hey, Embee!" I briskly turn around to see who called my name. OHMIFLIPPINJONAS! It's

the teaser

"Okay, am I the only one here who see's another pop star on the stage?" I look around. The Jonas Brothers burst out laughing. I turn toward Miley, "Hi, I'm Embee." She shakes my hand. "Nice to meet you. I can't wait to hear you sing."
Heh, Miley Cyrus wants to hear me sing.. "Well, um not to be rude, but why are you here?" She laughs.
"I am your tour guide! I'll be showing you everything there is to touring around the country." I don't know what happened
after that but I wake up in the nurse's office on my back with six people staring at me. Nick, KEvin, Joe, Ashley, Creepy Stalker Girl, and Miley Cyrus?!?

the suprise

"Uh, Embee?"
"You okay?"
"Bemble. You freak, get up!"

I slowly sit up. "Uh, thanks for the support Mizzy."
She smiles, "No problem."
Nick helps me off the bench and out of the nurse's office. "Uh, are you okay?"
I nod. "Good."
He leads everyone outside.
"WOW!" It's a LIMO!
Ashley stands there with her mouth open, "We get to ride, in THAT?" The four celebrities nod
and grin. I'm about to have another faint moment, but Kevin's cellphone rings. "Yeah, hey.. ok, we'll wait."
I give KEvin a look like, wha???:06:
Kevin begins to explain the mysterious phone call! oooooooooooo....
"Hey, Embee, do you know a girl name Adri?" Adri, Adri, Adri...
I do a mental check list of all my classes-
Math- nope
English-nope
Geography- nope
Science- nope
GYM- BINGO!
" Uh yeah, she's in my gym class.."
Kevin begins to blush.. "IS.. is she your your girlfriend?!?"
Kevin nods. "AAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" Ashley whacks me on the back of the head.

I glare at her, "Ow!"
"Yeah well you deserve it."
"Thanks."

It took about, i don't know, FOREVER!, for Adri to come but when she does we all pile into the limo.
First Adri, then Kevin, Nick, Ashley, Miley, Maddie, Joe, and finally me. Joe breaks the awkward silence, "Music anyone?"
Random "yea!" "sure" "please"... "Dan? Music please." Well, when the music does come on, guess who's singing?
Nick, Joe, and KEvin. Known as the Jonas brothers. I cough, "Conceited much?" Ashley whispers something to
Miley, who whispers something to Joe, who hits me on the back of the head. "Do you want me to have a concussion?"
Joe smiles, "Maybe.." I glare, "Then you won't have an opening act, Loser." Joe sticks his tongue out. "Bite me."

After ten minutes I finally ask, "Where are we going?" Everyone else was in deep conversation. Nick talking to Ashley, Miley texting, Maddie talking to Joe, and Me talking to, well, me. I guess they didn't hear, or maybe they're ignoring me.
Finally, Mizzy sends me a text.

Mizzy: OMB! Nick asked me to be his girlfriend!
Embee: Go for it!
Mizzy: Duh!

The limo comes to a sudden stop. I mumble a "Thank God for seatbelts," as we climb out of the car. I look up
to see where we've stopped. "McDonalds? We took a freakin limo to McDonalds?" Joe slides out, "Uh, looks
like it, don't cha think?" When everyone's out of the car, I see Ashley and Nick holding hands.
Embee: Man! That boy moves fast.
As Ashley walks by me she whispers, " I don't care," in a dream like tone. We walk into Mickey D's all talking. Everyone
but Nick and Ashley get in line to order, they go and pick out a table.

"Welcome to McDonalds. May I take your ..." The cashier looks up, "Jonas!" She looks familar... oh mijonas it's _____!
