woot! 2 more tutorials in addition to the 2 i made not long ago!

Motion Blur Background

Open up your programme (duh) and blend your pics. Here's mine:
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-1.png

Duplicate the layer of your blend. Either fo to Layer>Duplicate Layer or press Ctrl J.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-2.png

While on the Duplicated layer, go to Filter>Blur>Motion Blur and type in these settings.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-3.png

Hide the motion blur layer by clicking the eye thing beside it. Use your Lasso Tool and draw around the person that you want to "Un-motion-blur". doesn't have to be perfect. then Right Click on your selection and choose Feather. Type in 6 pixels.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-4.png

Click the eye thing again to make the duplicate layer visible. it should look something like this:
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-6.png

Next, press delete and tada, here's your blend. but there's a few more steps to make the perfect blend.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-7.png

Add another Motion Blur to your duplicate layer.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-8.png

If you do not already have this pattern, open a 3X3 pixel canvas and zoom in to the max, put 3 dots diagonally. then go to Edit>Define Pattern. Then click your Paint Bucket Tool and put Pattern and select that pattern. Create a new layer and use your paint bucket to splash on your pattern. Set that layer to Color Burn.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-9.png

(it looks slightly distorted here, sorry.) anyway, take your eraser, choose a soft brush about 35 pixels. Erase the parts over your person. you might want to adjust the opacity of the Lines Pattern layer.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut3-10.png

Finally, add your coloring and all that stuff. And you have a motion blured background blend.

Coloring:

This is a really easy tutorial and is translatable, no Selective Coloring and the hard stuff.
Open up your picture/blend/icon. Here's mine:
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut4-1.png

Then add a new Solid Color Layer. Color: bebebe, Blend Mode: Color Burn, Opacity: 83%.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut4-2.png

Its really dark, so add another Solid Color Layer. Color: ffddff Blend Mode: Softlight Opacity: 100%.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut4-3.png

Add another Solid Color Layer. Color: 11537 Blend Mode: Exclusion/Subtract Opacity: 100%.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut4-4.png

Duplicate your base and drag it to the top. Blend Mode: Softlight Opacity: 41%.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut4-5.png

Duplicate the Softlight layer and Desaturate it (Ctrl Shift U) Opacity 32%.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut4-6.png

Its a tad pink so add a Color Balance layer. Midtones: -32 | -17 | 24.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m156/lin_siyue/tut4-7.png

After adding a few textures, text and all that, i got:

nah, its really nice! i think you should add in the lines for a more motion blur effect.

nope, it should be translatable. there's only Solid Color layers which there should be in like PSP and GIMP and some duiplicating and brightness/constrast, no selective coloring or anything. i'll go make a tut for that k?

haha, both are great anyway! you should make the lines in the same direction as the motion blur though.
