“Uh, hey guys” Katie said in response, still utterly surprised they were even making eye contact, let alone speaking to them.


Casey just nodded, but still. That’s way more than Nick and Katie accepted from them this soon.


Everything was changing, but for the best.



Later that day…



---Nick’s POV---


I laughed, as me and Katie read the fan messages on myspace. Some people were REALLY confused about the Jatie and Nasey changing to Jasey and Natie situation. But really, it was none of their business so we tried to just ignore it. I grabbed my sunglasses and we walked down the street. We, the Jonas Brothers, were going to be on TRL today, so we were going to just walk there.


Joe and Casey were walking behind us, right now, me and Joe had hats and sunglasses on, as did Kevin, so people didn’t recognize us. Jenny and Kevin walked behind all of us; they didn’t want to get in the middle of the arguments, so they tried to stay out of it completely.


We got to trl, took off our hats and sunglasses, and went inside. Casey, Jenny, and Katie went backstage with us, and we all sat down, because they didn’t want us out there yet, so we just waited patiently. I held Katie’s hand and Joe glared at me. But wait, I thought he was over her? Maybe he wasn’t glaring I just was confused. Oh well, anyway, a few minutes later they called for us and we went out while SOS played. It was just your average interview, nothing special or interesting about it, and they asked us about our girlfriends. That was the only semi-interesting part of it. I exchanged a glance with Joe, kind of trying to decide if we should even attempt to explain everything going on in our love lives right now, but he just shook his head.


We decided not to go into that, at least not right now. The interview ended, and we all got back on the bus, to drive to our next concert, which was going to be in Trenton, New Jersey. It wasn’t that long of a trip, so no one really slept on the ride.



---Casey’s POV---


I knocked on the wall, near Joe’s bunk because he was inside. He grinned, waiting for him to open the curtain. He did, “May I help you?” he asked, jokingly. He smiled.


I just laughed, I’m not good at this game, so I tried not to respond…just laughed. He then moved over and I got in his bunk with him to watch a movie. The bunks aren’t the biggest, so it’s kind of hard to fit two people in one bunk, but we managed to make it work. But still, it was kind of tight. I could smell his cologne and feel his breathing against my skin; I smiled to myself and watched the movie with him.



---Kevin’s POV---


It’s so confusing. I thought everyone was so happy with things the way they were and then comes a HUGE change, the biggest kind of change there is. I don’t really understand it, and Jenny doesn’t either, but none of them want to talk about their previous relationships out loud, but I know they are all thinking about them at a constant rate.


We are trying not to get in the middle of this, because we can’t see this ending well. I’m trying to just stay out of it completely, but its hard considering nick is ALWAYS with Katie, and Joe is ALWAYS with Casey. So we generally just aren’t with my brothers at all. I’m just hoping there won’t be a huge fight, because then what would happen to the band?

Everything Changes {on tour}



---Joe’s POV---


Okay, so I was lying in bed trying to sleep, but instead I just started thinking… if Casey and Katie weren’t able to come on tour with us, would Jatie and Nasey still exist? I mean Casey is great, im happy with her and I think she is too, but it’s just weird to think about how everything changed so quickly when we came on this tour. I’m not sure where I stand on the situation exactly, at first, when Katie and Nick got together, I wanted to beat the crap out of him, and it yanked on my heart, not in a good way I might add….but now, I don’t know. I won’t say it doesn’t bother me that my brother is dating my ex-girlfriend, but not in the “I love her” kind of way as before… It’s more of a “I loved her, I have a history with her” type of feeling. But Casey IS amazing and I DO have a lot of fun with her…maybe I should just forget all about my time with Katie, but how can I…?



---Lex’s POV---


We have been following them on tour for a few weeks now, almost a month, I think. Everything is different now, though. It’s taking some major getting used to, Natie and Jasey , I mean. We had all gotten so used to things how they were. Even me, Maria, and Kristin had almost given up on Nick! This is tearing everyone and everything apart… I mean look at it! The only people who are still the way it should be are Alvana and Josh, and Cody and Kristin!


I sighed, thinking about this. It hurt too, but it was the only thing on my mind. I looked in the corner of the hotel room, suddenly remembering I was with Maria, jenny, and Kristin. “Sorry” I said, realizing they had been trying to get my attention but I had been to deep in thought. I looked at Maria, who had been looking depressed ever since Nick and Katie first got together.


“STOP!” Jenny yelled at Maria, “I don’t want to get involved!”


“Oh come on” Maria said to her, looking doubtful. “You cant tell me that it doesn’t bother you the TINY-est bit that Casey, your BEST FRIEND is with Joe now…” she gave her a look.


Jenny returned the look, “Um no… I’m with Kevin remember?”


Maria sighed, “And sure when it was Katie with him…but Casey….” I could see another argument starting. Kristin sat their quietly, trying to stay impartial to the situation.


I had been trying to this strategy as well, but quickly decided that wasn’t working for me. I stood up and went over to them. They were arguing now “Guys! Stop!” I yelled to shut them up, it worked. They both looked at me “Maria just because you aren’t talking to your best friend, Katie for dating Nick, doesn’t mean Jenny feels the same way with Casey” I sighed, wishing things could get back to how they used to be. The both shut up when I made my valuable and smart point. Just then I heard the door open, we all looked at the door hoping whoever it was wouldn’t make the situation worse than it already was…




---Nick’s POV---


Me and Katie walked into the room. They all looked at us. “Um, hi” Lex said. Kristin looked back and forth from Maria to Katie, I did the same. I knew they hadn’t been talking but I’m now 100% sure why that is, I have an idea though.


Maria stormed out of the room and Katie followed her. I didn’t want to bother them so I went to find Joe to talk things over with him.




---Maria’s POV---


I hate not talking to her, but I have to get my point across. I went into a hallway closet to hide, she obviously figured it out because a few seconds later she came in too, the door closed behind her. I just rolled my eyes in her direction. She sighed, “Mimi” she started “is this really how you want us to live our lives? I mean, what if I was hit by a car and these were my last memories of you or something!” she asked me, I didn’t respond. I just re-crossed my arms… “Fine” she said and reached for the door-knob. She pulled and yanked on it but it didn’t open. “Uh oh” she mumbled.


“What’s uh-oh?” I asked, standing up.


She just smiled, “you talked to me” she smiled again, “WHATS UH-OH!?” I yelled.


“The door won’t open” she said, hesitantly. I pulled on it, she was telling the truth. We looked at each other then yelled in unison. “HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”


Nothing happened; we yelled and continued with this plan until we could no longer. We looked at each other just as the power went out. We both screamed, and grabbed onto each other, hugging tight. “Oh screw this, I cant be mad at you!” I said. Just then the power came back on. We looked around confused and the door opened. Kevin stood their, smirking.


We both hit him on his arm “What’s wrong with you!?” he just laughed.


He had obviously wanted to get rid of our stupid, dumb, pointless fight.

---Kevin’s POV---


“Why Kevin?” Katie asked me, laughing, as they walked out of the closet.


I just laughed, “You guys were being ridiculous” he laughed “and we already have enough drama without you guys in a feud”


Maria nodded, “True…very true”


We all laughed and they went back to their room. I ran into nick in the hallway.


“Oh hey nick” I said, smiling, still please with myself.


“Hey, have you seen-” he started a question; I thought I knew what he was going to ask.


“Katie? Yeah just scared her and Maria” I grinned, proudly.


“Nah I’m looking for…” he paused, “scared her?”


I laughed, “Long story”


He nodded, “okay…anyway I’m looking for Joe”


“Oh, he’s in his hotel room” I nodded and he grinned.


“Okay thanks” he left and went to Joe’s room down the hall.




---Nick’s POV---


I finally found Joe. Now that I was there, I wasn’t sure if it was good or bad that I found him.


But we need to talk this over otherwise I don’t know where our relationship is headed… I walked into the room where he was sitting on the couch, “Uh…hey Joe” I said, unsure if he would respond. He had been watching the television, he looked up at me “Hey nick” he said, and then looked back at the TV. I went over to him, “Can I talk to you for a second?” I asked him, hesitantly.


“Um…sure” he turned the television off then looked at me. Here we go I thought, nervously. “Okay” I said, trying to figure out where to start. This all started in Disneyworld when me and Katie kissed, but he probably wouldn’t like to know that its been going on for that long, so I decided to start with the night the bus broke down a few weeks back.


“Okay, so I made a mistake. Yeah I don’t regret how it turned out but I ruined your relationship, I shouldn’t have kissed her that night, and I’m sorry” I said, looking down. Joe cut me off before I could go any farther in my explanation.


“Nick” he started “I don’t really wanna talk about this with you now… or ever for that matter” he sighed.


I sighed, also. “But we need too; otherwise I think we can never get back to how things used to be between us”


“NO!” he yelled, “no they can’t” he stood up to leave but I stood up, too. “But I thought you were over Katie…”


“Yeah well” he didn’t look at me “so did I” he stormed out, slamming the door behind him.



---Katie’s POV---


I walked into my hotel room which I shared with Jenny and Casey. Jenny immediately left the room when I entered, because Casey was there too and it was always kind of awkward for Jenny in the middle of all this…but I can understand why. Casey just stood up and sighed, putting her hands in her pockets “are we going to avoid each other forever?” she asked, hesitantly.


I laughed, “Nope. We probably should talk now and get it over with”


She nodded, “I agree”

---Casey’s POV---
It was a hard conversation to have, both of us nervous and hesitant. But it had to be done, if we didn’t talk about it there as no way we could ever be friends like we used to be. I think we both wanted that, but I don’t know. This seemed to be the only way we could make that happen.
We discussed everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. It took a really long time, but neither one of us cared nor minded. Besides, I was happy with Joe and she was happy with nick.
And isn’t that what matters?
We had finally made up, I hugged her and she grinned, hugging me back.
Nick came in, “uh hi” he said, looking confused.
“Hey nick” Katie smiled and stood up, kissing his cheek. He smiled now. For the first time I didn’t feel my heart ripped out when they kissed… or did I? NO Casey she is your FRIEND again remember? We told him we made up and he told us he was looking for Joe. We hadn’t seen him so we left and Katie sat back down again.


---Joe’s POV---
I walked into the hallway and down to Casey’s room to talk to her. I knocked on the door and she opened it, “Hey Casey I need to talk to-” I started, I saw Katie sitting on the couch. “Oh…hi Katie” I looked at Casey again, then at Katie. Oh god I thought.
“Nick was looking for you” Casey said, sitting down next to Casey.
“Oh okay” I looked at both of them again, “am I interrupting something, because I can go…” I hesitated.
Katie shook her head, “Nah its fine. We’re cool now, right Casey?” she grinned.
Casey nodded, “Right”
“Oh” I said, not sure if this was good for me or not “Good” I decided to seem relived and happy even though I wasn’t sure if I really was or not.
Katie stood up, “Alright well I’m gonna leave you two” she said.
I could tell this was awkward for her, well she wasn’t the only one. “Okay bye” I smiled at her and she left. I looked at Casey, “I need to talk to you”
“Shoot” she said, grinning at me.
“Do you find yourself still attracted to Nick at all? It’s okay if you do because it’s so soon…” I said hoping she did.
She thought for a second and shook her head, “No not really, why? Do you?” she asked.
“Umm…” I was thinking yes but couldn’t say that “Nah. Thank god you don’t because I don’t” I laughed nervously. She looked confused, “Um okay?” she stood up and got an apple and handed one to me. “Thanks” I said and took a bite of it.

---Katie’s POV---
“Well that was awkward” I mumbled to myself when I went outside of the room and closed the door.
“What was awkward?” I heard a voice say from down the hall.
I turned and looked down the hallway to see who the mysterious voice was coming from and why they were talking to me.
I didn’t see anyone. “Um…okay” I said, in general to myself or whoever had been talking to me, I got on the elevator and the doors closed, I went down a bit then it went back up to the floor because someone else wanted to get onto the elevator as well. I was kind of freaked out. The doors opened. I shrieked. “RYAN!” he got into the elevator and I hugged him.
Ryan Sheckler was my best friend when we were little, then he moved to California, and then I did, and we lost touch. I couldn’t believe this. A girl came in behind him. “This is my girlfriend” he smiled at her and she got onto the elevator.
“Hi I’m Katie” I said to her, smiling.

She smiled back at me. “I’m Leslie”

---Nick’s POV---


I was sitting in the lobby; I had totally given up on finding Joe. Did he still love Katie? All I know is he’s mad at me still, and that isn’t good. He isn’t mad at Katie, though! Uh... maybe it will just pass; yeah hopefully it will just pass. I’m not giving Katie back to him, though. I may never have said it out loud, but I do love Katie. Wait… oh my god, I love her! I have to tell her. I stood up and ran to the stairs then realized she was with Casey and went back into the lobby, obviously just in time. The elevator doors opened and Katie and two people I didn’t know came out. I grinned and went over to them, “Hey” I said to Katie, still not knowing who the others were. I recognized the guy though, but couldn’t place my finger on his name or how I knew him.


Katie smiled at me, “Hey Nick” she looked at the others then back at me and grinned “Nick, this is Ryan Sheckler, my best friend from when we were younger” she said, explaining. I nodded and looked at the girl holding ‘Ryan’s hand. “And this is his girlfriend Leslie” she smiled.


I nodded, “hi” I said to both of them. Leslie started at me.


Katie then looked at them, “Ryan, Leslie---this is my boyfriend, Nick” she grinned.


Leslie was still in a trance “Oh…my…gawsh…your Nick Jonas!” she let out a tiny squeal.


I just laughed, “Yes I am”


She stayed in a trance for a few more minutes, and then relaxed, obviously a fan of the Jonas Brothers.



Meanwhile…



“Joe…are you sure you’re alright?” Casey asked, hesitantly.


Joe swallowed hard then nodded, “Yeah. I’m” he stuttered “I-I’m fine, thanks. I got to go” he stood up and walked out, closing the door behind him. He went down to the lobby, only to find sitting on the couch, Katie and nick and two other people who invited him over. He couldn’t think of an excuse so he was kind of forced to go over to them. He sat down in a chair across from Katie and Nick.


“So…” Joe said, nervously. Thinking- oh god. This is really awkward… I am totally still in love with her. Ugh! How can I be? I mean, she kissed my BROTHER behind my back, twice! And now she’s dating him! Why do I find myself wanting her just as much as before? No snap out of it Joe you CAN’T she’s dating your brother, and your dating Casey! Grrrr… nick, I could kill him right now. Holding her hand, he looks eager... Like he wants to say something.



---Katie’s POV---


Okay this was awkward; “Alright I’m going to go get a muffin or something from the snack bar over there” I pointed to it, stood up, and started walking over there. Nick followed me “Same here” he said.


He pulled me aside when no one was looking, around the corner.


“What are you---doing?” I asked after her pulled me, extremely confused.


He grinned, “I just realized something…and I have to tell you”


“Okay well I’m hungry, can’t it wait? I mean its been silent the last five minutes you could’ve told me” I laughed a little, but I was still confused on why he needed too pull me aside to tell me whatever it was he wanted to tell me so badly.


He shook his head, “No. I couldn’t in front of people” he said smiling at me.


I looked at him, confused, “Well, wait…are you breaking up with me?” I asked, nervously.


His eyes widened and his smile faded “No, no, defiantly not” he said quickly, then grinned and laughed “like the opposite”


I looked confused, “Alright really confused here, nick” I laughed a little waiting for him to continue.


He sighed, and I grinned at him, because he was smiling at me.


“Alright, um… Katie…” he said, I waited. “I love you” he grinned at me.


I was deep in shock. Oh my god, he loves me? This is pretty soon, but hey I feel the same. And I have liked him for a while now. I grinned at him.


“I love you too” I smiled. He smiled, too. He kissed me, passionately.


When we separated he laughed a little, “Wow, um okay. So now I don’t want to go back out and sit with Joe…” he laughed, awkwardly.


I nodded, “Yeah I know. He’s been acting weird lately, I mean he has reason too and all, but still”


He nodded, “I know. You still hungry?”


I laughed, “Yeah” we went and got the muffins we were supposed to get a few minutes back and went back to the group and sat down. “What’d we miss?” I asked as I sat down next to nick.


Ryan shrugged, “not much”


“So…”Nick said, obviously trying to make a conversation to stop it from being awkward, “When did you guys meet?” he asked


Leslie and Ryan grinned at each other, “you tell him” Leslie said, shyly.


Ryan laughed and nodded, “Okay…” he started the story. It was a long, but romantic story. I smiled “Aw!” I said when it was over. Leslie laughed; Ryan had to leave for an interview a few minutes later so Leslie came with me to introduce her to the others.



---Joe’s POV---


I tapped my foot; it was just me and Nick. “So. Um, where’d you and Katie go for so long?”


He hesitated, which made me even more curious on where they had gone and why.


“Umm…” he said obviously now knowing what exactly to say to me, which was expectable “I had to tell her something” he nodded.


“Oh…” I said. I was suddenly loosing interest in this, and remembering how mad I was at him. I stood up and got in the elevator and went up to the hotel room where Kevin was. I put on my Ipod, trying to block out the outside world and get away from my problems and stress. But with good things, drama and confusion always comes along with it, unfortunately.




---Kristin’s POV---


Me, Jenny, Maria, and Lex were all sitting in the hotel room, talking when Katie and some other girl came in. “Hey guys” Katie said. “This is my new friend, Leslie. You remember how I was best friends with Ryan when I was younger? Well this is his girlfriend.” She grinned.


“Wait, so Ryan is here?” Lex asked her, obviously confused. I laughed “obviously, lex”


Katie turned to Leslie, “Leslie this is Kristin, Jenny, Maria, and Alexa…but we call her Lex” she grinned again. Leslie nodded, “nice to meet you. I’m Leslie”


Just then Kevin came in and whispered something to Jenny. I looked at him confused so he came over to me and whispered to me too “Something’s wrong with Joe” he looked confused and worried.

Katie looked at Kevin, “What’s going on?” she asked, curiously and confused.


He shrugged, “Nothing”


Katie was kind of confused but chose to dismiss the matter “Alright…well, I’m gonna go call my mom….she’s going to want to know how things are going on tour so far” she smiled and opened the door to leave, Nick had reached to open the door, to come in, at the same time so they almost ran into each other. Katie laughed and continued into the hallway to call her mother. She closed the door behind her.



---Jenny’s POV---


“You look happy” I said, looking at the huge grin on nick’s face. He smiled, “Better than then happy…thrilled, really” he grinned, again. “Why what happened?” Lex asked him, curious, as we all were. “Well…” he started, “I told Katie I loved her, and she said she loved me, too” he said proudly. Me, Kristin, and Kevin all smiled, figuring this is why Joe was upset. He was probably just messed up because his brother and his ex loved each other, not because he still had feelings for Katie. Kevin smiled, “Oh” Kevin said “And Joe knows right?” he asked, based on our assumptions. Nick looked confused, “Uh…no” our smiles all quickly vanished “I’m worried on how he’ll take it” he finished, hesitantly. “Yeah, well you’re not the only one” Kristin mumbled, I hit her arm to shut her up.



Meanwhile…



---Joe’s POV---


“Ugh!” I yelled, throwing my pillow at the wall. I hadn’t noticed that Casey was standing in the doorway, until now. I took out my earphones from my Ipod and looked at her, “Oh…hi” I said, hesitantly. “hi” she said back to me. She picked up the pillow I had thrown and gave it back to me. I set it down, “Alright you’re defiantly upset about something, don’t even waste my time telling me you’re not” she said, sitting down next to me. I sighed, trying to quickly think of a lie, but nothing came to me. I just sat there, silently, her waiting for an explanation, when I didn’t give her one, she continued. “Come on Joe” she said, just sitting there waiting. “Okay something smells fishy” she said, confused. I immediately eyeballed the sushi sitting on the kitchen shelf, “And it’s not the sushi…” she finished. She rose an eyebrow, still waiting on me. I said nothing.



---Katie’s POV---


I finished up my call with my mom, after explaining the me/Nick and Casey/Joe situation to her. I looked at the two doors, one leading to Joe and Casey, the other to the---well others!


I thought for a moment, and went into one of the doors. Had Kevin seriously thought he was being secretive when he told Jenny and Kristin about Joe? I mean come on… it didn’t take super-sonic-hearing to hear and understand what he was saying! After I opened the door I saw Joe and Casey both standing there. Neither one of them were speaking. I closed the door behind me, “Uh hi” I said, the situation obviously was a toad bit awkward, “Hey” Casey said, walking past me to the door “See if you can get anything out of him” she left, closing the door behind her. This was the first time me and Joe had been alone since the break-up. “So…” I said, hesitantly “Kevin said he thought something was wrong with you so…are you alright?” I asked. He shrugged, “Been better” he said with no smile on his face. At least he wasn’t lying to me!


“Is this about me and Nick saying we loved each other?” I asked, hesitantly.


“WHAT!?” he asked, shocked.


“Oh…I thought you knew about that already” I said, now regretting even bringing that up, “No…I- I didn’t” he said, hurt showing deep in his eyes. “Joe…I’m sorry” I said “but you ended it” he nodded, “I know”, thinking I wish I hadn’t. He sighed and so did I. “Maybe I should go” I said heading towards the door. He didn’t respond, so I left.



Meanwhile…



---Nick’s POV---


“Well you don’t think he still has feelings for Katie, do you?” I asked he others. Kristin nodded “Oh… “I said, nodding too. “Wait, no!” I said, dis-pleased, “she’s MY girlfriend now, not his! I love her!” Leslie just sat there, obviously confused. Lex noticed too, obviously because she turned to her “Joe and Katie used to date” Lex explained. Leslie nodded. “Oh and now she’s with---oh okay I get it” she nodded again.


Kevin looked at me, “You’re SURE you love her?” I didn’t even have to think about that “Yeah, I’m positive” I said, Lex looked disappointed. “WHAT?!” I yelled, frustrated. “Well it’s just… I liked them together” she said meek and quietly. I just stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind me. I saw Katie sitting on the bench in the hallway, and I sat down next to her “do you think everyone is right? I mean…this isn’t wrong, is it?” I asked her. She immediately looked at me and shook her head, “No. they just don’t understand” she nodded. I grinned “yeah…your right” she smiled back at me. I leaned in and kissed her. She smiled as she kissed me. Joe came out of his room at that moment. This brought back memories of that night when the bus was broken down. But this time I didn’t feel guilty, I was kind of frustrated with him for ruining our moment, but Katie seemed guilty, which I guess is kind of understand able. Joe just walked away, down the hallway.

---Joe’s POV---


“Why didn’t you tell her? Idiot!” I smacked myself, frustrated with myself, “I can’t tell her, I can’t do to Nick what he did to me. Wait…what am I thinking?! He’s a backstabber…why should I care?” I mumbled this, and sighed when I asked this question. He was still my brother, I realized that. I couldn’t---I just couldn’t do that to him. Just then, the door swung open and Kevin came in, pulling nick by the arm in and set him down on the couch next to me. I looked the other way and so did he. Kevin closed the door and looked at both of us accusingly. “We need to solve…now” he said, demandingly. Nick and I both opened out mouths to speak but Kevin continued… “You BOTH care about Katie, whether you admit it or not, and this feud between you two is tearing her apart. She is caught in the middle and that’s not fair for her, at all” he finished. I crossed my arms, why did he always have to be right about everything? Nick looked at me, “I’m sorry” he said. Wow, he was actually apologizing. “For everything” he finished.


I accepted it; at the beginning of the conversation I had two goals…


1. Fix the Nick problem


And…


2. Win Katie back.


One down, one to go.



---Leslie’s POV---


I was sitting with Katie in the hallway. We went and got our bags, well, her bags. She was getting on the bus because they were going to their next location soon. Ryan and I were following in his bus. You see, Ryan had called Katie’s mom who had told him where they were, so we were going to tag along. I set down her bags, “Thanks for helping” she said, smiling.


“No problem” I said, sitting down on the couch inside of the bus. She sat down next to me.


Just then Joe came onto the bus and stopped in his tracks when he saw us. “Uh, hi” he said. He set down his bags next to Katie’s and I stood up, “Alright well I’m going to go get in Ryan’s bus before it leaves without me” I said, jokingly. I left.



---Joe’s POV [again] ---


“Hey” Katie said back to me, grabbing her bags to put them away where they are supposed to. I helped her with the heavy bag, “thanks” she said, grinning to herself.


“No problem” I responded.


She grinned at me and sat back down, I tried to not be obvious yet be flirty with her, but it obviously wasn’t working the way I had planned for it, too.


I went outside to think of what I should to when Casey came over to talk to me. “I know what’s going on” She said. I pretended to be clueless, “Uh what do you mean?” I asked.


“Oh come on, I’m not an idiot and I’m not blind, Joe…and don’t worry” she went into a whisper, “I kind of like Nick still. I thought you would be mad but obviously not” she said, hesitantly, in a whisper still. My eyes widened, “Really? I had no idea” I said, shocked.


She rolled her eyes, “stop pretending to be clueless”


“I wasn’t pretending…” I said honestly, hesitantly.


“Oh.” She quickly changed the subject “well anyway, I say we get things the way they are supposed to be. It ill be easy, we’ve got everyone else’s help. Come on we can do it, what do you say?” she asked me. I thought for a second and nodded, “done” I said in response, we shook hands on it and then everyone got in their buses, cars, etc.


We were off, and our plan had begun.

The Plan of Rebellion



---Casey’s POV---


I sat with everyone else on the back of the bus, and by everyone else I mean Joe, Lex, Kristin, Jenny and Maria. We were all on the Jonas Brothers’ tour bus. Nick and Katie were watching a movie in the front of the bus…figures. It was just as well, though. Joe and I had to try and convince the others to help us with our plan to break up Nick and Katie and get things back to how they should be. The way they USED to be. They seemed to agree with us, and be willing to help us out... Thank god.


“So it’s all settled, then?” I asked, “We start first thing” Kevin said, nodding. We had a semi-plan worked out and were going to just play it out and see how it goes, you know, go with the flow. The tricky part? We wanted to break up Katie and Nick without making them mad at each other. Let me rephrase that, we want to break up them without ruining their FRIENDSHIP. And it wasn’t going to happen over night…



The next day at the hotel in Tennessee…



---Joe’s POV---


Katie got her purse and grabbed her sunglasses, she stepped toward the door of the hotel room, because she needed to go grocery shopping because we were growing low on stuff on the tour bus and she had volunteered to help, and go get what we needed.


I saw Nick opening his mouth, most likely to volunteer to help and go with her. My eyes widened at this opportunity and I hit Casey’s arm, as a cue or something. She jumped, “oh! Uh nick, can you help me fix something in the other room?” she asked quickly.


He paused; “Uh yeah sure” they went into the other room.


Katie looked at me, “okay, I’m going to go now, ill talk to you later” she said, slipping on her sunglasses.


“Um, you want me to help you? Because I’m not doing anything and I can come” I said, hesitantly.


Katie smiled and nodded, “yeah sure!” she walked out. I paused and got out a walkie-talkie “Faze one complete. The ball is in your park … over” I said into it.


I heard Kristin sigh, “Joe. We don’t have to always say over”


“We don’t always have to say what, Kristin?, over”


“Over” she repeated.


“What I didn’t hear you, I’m sorry these walkie-talkies are crap, over” I said.


“ALL I SAID WAS OVER!” she said, frustrated.


“I’m sorry all you said was what?, over” I asked/said to her.


“This conversation is OVER!” she said loudly into it, so it hurt my ears


“This conversation is what?, over” I asked


“Ugh” I heard her say, I then heard the little noise that tells you the other person had turned off their walkie-talkie. I laughed and walked out, following Katie. We started walking to the grocery store near by.


“So…” I said, “What do we need to get?” I asked, trying to make conversation.


She handed me a list and I skimmed over it, I nodded. We walked into the store and split up to find different things.


I rushed into a corner and got out the walkie-talkie. I turned it on.


“Who’s there? Over” I said.


“Kevin, over” he said back into his walkie-talkie.


“You got it? Over” I asked/said.


“Yes.” He told me what I was waiting for “over”


“Okay, bye, over” I turned off the walkie-talkie and he did the same.


I went and found something and the stuff I was supposed to find, I found Katie again and put the stuff in the cart. I held something behind my back, she looked at me… “What’s that?” she asked me, curiously.


I paused and pulled it out from behind my back and she gasped, grinning at me.

---Katie’s POV---


I gasped. “How did you --- I mean when did you… oh…” I grinned at him. He was holding the kind of ice cream I always ate when I was younger, whenever I was upset about something. No one knew about that, I didn’t understand how he knew about that, but it was sweet. Wait, but Nick should’ve ---oh whatever. I hugged him, grinning to myself. We then finished grocery shopping and went to get lunch just because we thought we deserved it after shopping for everyone else.




---Nick’s POV---


I helped Casey fix random things around Casey’s hotel room, which seemed rather pointless considering we were leaving later after the concert, but whatever floats her boat.


Anyway, randomly she kissed me. I felt bad for Katie, but I didn’t pull away. It felt…comfortable, usual, yet exciting…if that makes any sense at all.


It felt…I don’t want to think right, because I really am happy with Katie, its just.. I don’t know, it felt…good.




---Jenny’s POV---


I peaked into Casey’s room through the connecting door and saw them kissing. Perfect, alright, so parts 1, 2 and 3 were all completed. Now for the final part. Now that we got them liking their old relationships, we have to get Joe to kiss Katie and tell Nick he still likes Katie. That’s the only way I see this working. I talked to Kevin about the plan, and it was a go. We told Joe, including our ‘over’s because otherwise he didn’t “get it” or so he said.




---Joe’s POV---


We were done eating our lunch; I had to do it now. That was the next part of the plan. I sat their nervously and then leaned across the table and kissed her, I sensed her surprise and shock but she didn’t hesitate, she kissed me back. When we separated neither one of us spoke, we just payed and walked back to the hotel. I saw Nick in the hallway; Katie went in and talked to Casey. I sat down on a bench to talk to Nick. I sighed, “Look I have to tell you something…” I started.


He cut me off and began, “Casey and I kissed, I’m sorry”


“Its okay” I said, fast.


“No really, I mean you would NEVER do something like that tome, I’m a terrible brother”


“Actually…” I said “um, I still have feelings for Katie”


I saw the shocked look on nicks face, unsure if it was a just shocked or


Frustrated, mad and shocked. I waited, patiently. We couldn’t continue with this plan until we knew his reaction.


“Um…” he said, “Well---wait…” he paused, and then didn’t speak. Just looked confused, looking down at the floor, looking super confused.


“Uhm, Nick I kind of need a reaction…I need to know how you feel, I mean do you want to get back with Katie?” I asked.


He stood up, “I---I don’t know, I need to think right now” he went into his hotel room and closed the door behind him.


I nodded to myself, grinning a little. I felt bad that he and Katie felt bad, like cheaters, but it was the only way I saw this working out. I went into where Kevin and Jenny were to tell them how the plan was going and see what was happening next.


Things were looking up for me, for once.

---Nick’s POV---
I went to where Katie was and sat down next to her, on the bench in the hallway.
“I kissed Casey” I said quickly, needing to get it off my chest. She looked up at me. “I kissed Joe” she said back to me. I didn’t know how I should respond or react, or even how I felt about it, but I knew I wasn’t angry with her, this was weird, and did we really love each other? Or did we just love the IDEA of a relationship? I sighed and so did she.
“So, what do we do now?” she asked me, I shrugged. “No idea” I said back to her.
“Well…” she said “are we sorry?” she asked. I didn’t know how to answer that, except turning it around into a different question, “are you?” I asked. She shook her head and looked down. “I didn’t think so” I said, not completely surprised or disappointed. “Neither am I” I said. “So what does this mean?” she asked, looking at me now. I looked down again, “I think it means were breaking up…” I said, hesitantly. She nodded, then looked at me, with a tear rolling down her cheek “I do love you, you were my best friend” she said, sniffing, another tear rolled down her cheek and I hugged her. “I still am” I said, honestly, yet quietly, into her ear. It was done, over… but this was only the beginning.
We WERE best friends. I will always love her in that way.


---Joe’s POV---
A few minutes later, Katie came back into her hotel room. I was in there watching TB. I saw her tear stained face and quickly stood up, turning off the television.
Oh no I thought she wasn’t supposed to get hurt.
I went over to her, “what happened?” I asked her. Okay now I felt bad about my plan, well OUR plan. She told me everything, I gave her the ice-cream I had got her earlier that day, and sat on the couch next to her, hugging and comforting her. I saw time passing by, just talking to her. Pretty soon it was time for me to go start getting ready for the concert that night.


Meanwhile…


---Casey’s POV---
I didn’t know what was going on; Joe had his walkie-talkie turned off. Was he with Katie? I didn’t know, I just sighed and sat down on a stool in the kitchen of me and Jenny’s hotel room.
Just then, Nick walked in, looking down and depressed. “We broke up” he said. I pretended to look surprised” oh” I said “I’m sorry” I finished. He just sat down on the stool next to me.
“We---we broke up because we kissed, and so did they...” he said, I pretended to be sorry and surprised again, “They did!?” I asked. He just nodded.
“Oh” said “me and Joe broke up” I said, solemnly, he looked surprised for a moment.
“Really?” he asked. I nodded “So---wait…” he said confused yet smiling a little bit now “we kissed, and neither one of us are dating anyone?” he asked, getting his facts straight. I nodded. “Yep pretty much” I said.
“So um---do you want to? I mean---go out with me again?” he asked, hesitantly. A smile grew on my face. “Seriously?” I asked, he nodded. I smiled and nodded back at him.
I just hope things are going just as well for Joe as they are for me =]. Then they had to go to the concert.
I was curious what happened with Joe and Katie, so I went and found joke before they went on stage, and I asked him what EXACTLY happened.
He told me and he said they weren’t officially ‘together’ again, but they had been pretty flirty and he had comforted her. This was a good start for them.
Looks like our plan worked out pretty well.
Everything is going back to how it used to be, and how it should and is supposed to be.

It’s Crazy {how love stays with me}



---Kristin’s POV---


I went and found Casey. “Okay, what happened!? I am so left out of the plan now!”


She laughed, “Well I JUST found out, so don’t take it too hard” she said.


“Yeah well you’re out of the loop too then… anyway…” I said, really wanting to know.


She laughed again, “Me and Nick are back together and Joe and Katie are quote ‘flirty’ with each other, apparently” she said.


Kevin came over, obviously overhearing because the concert had ended. “Yep. That’s the story as I know it”


I sighed, “Ugh, you knew too! How come no one tells me anything!?”


They both just laughed at me, in a teasingly way. I rolled my eyes, laughing a little and walked off.




---Nick’s POV---


The tour was over; this had been our last stop. We would now go back to California, back to school, back to parents, back to rules.


It was disappointing because we had all going to be in different places, and different times.


We would no longer be together 24/7. And that was a big bummer.


But, it meant parents again for all of us, which is good. It meant things being the way we were used to them being, and that was good too. I don’t know, I’m of mixed feelings at this moment, but, I know we are all still best friends… Me , Kristin, Jenny, Sarah, Alvana, Lex, Kevin, Katie…and Joe. I love all of them individually, and I always will.




---Katie’s POV---


The concert ended and I went straight to the bus. Nick and Casey back together didn’t bother me, but it was still kind of awkward, so I tried to avoid is as much as possible. I just went to my bunk and closed the curtain and put on my Ipod. The curtain opened a few minutes later, “hey” Joe said, grinning at me from outside of the bunk.


I grinned and pulled out the earphones for my Ipod. “Hey, why aren’t you with nick?” I asked, setting down my ipod. He shrugged, “id rather be with you” he said, smiling at me. I smile back at him. I got out of the bunk and the isle in-between the bunks on either side were really tiny, only one person wide, so me and Joe were really close. He looked at me and before I could leave, I felt his hand on the back of my neck and he was kissing me.


Neither one of us separated or pulled away for what seemed like a lifetime to me. When we did he laughed a little, “So um…” he said, hesitantly and awkwardly.


“Do you want to um---go out, sometime?” Joe asked me, I grinned and he grinned back.


“Why don’t we just… go back to where we left off?” I asked, nervously.


A huge smile grew on his face and he laughed, hugging me. I took that as a yes? I guess so.


I grinned and hugged him back. Soon everyone else came onto the bus and we started driving.


It was like the past few weeks never happened, kind of weird and pointless, but a helpful life lesson. I was happier now with Joe more than I ever was before in my entire life. I sat, holding his hand, on the couch with him, just watching cartoons, and I was okay with that.


Because as long as I was with him, I was happy. And that’s all that counts.




---Jenny’s POV---


It’s over. But life moves on, that’s what I’m telling Kevin because he’s disappointed about the tour ending, but it’s really only the beginning. We can make life what we want it to be and that’s what I intend to do, and I think we all will. These are the people who are going to support me for all of my life, and I trust them with it.




A look into the future, 10 years later…



---Kristin’s POV---


I sat down in the coffee shop, the usual hang out. I ordered my usual, and picked up a magazine.


Just at that moment Nick ran in, “Kristin!” he said.


“What?” I set down the magazine, looking at him.


“Did you know about this?” he asked.


I paused “Know about what?” I asked him, confused.


He sighed, “That Casey has to go to France to shoot her next movie…”


“Uh yeah I knew, why?” I asked, laughing a little.


“Well no one told me! You’d think her boyfriend and roommate would deserve to know!”


I rolled my eyes, “Just go with her” I said.


He nodded, “Right… Good plan, ill do that” he sat down and ordered his coffee, too.


Then Katie came in with a stroller. Her little baby of 1 year old inside of it, sleeping.


Nick hugged her, “where’s the other one?” he asked looking at the baby.


Katie rolled her eyes, “Joe’s got him. He’s talking to Alexa outside right now…” she said, sitting down next to me.


I nodded, “I still can’t believe you had twins”


She laughed a little then Joe and Alexa and Kevin came in.


“Where’s Jenny?” I asked. She came in at that moment.


“Hey people” she sat ordering a muffin at the cowner then sitting down next to Kevin, holding his hand. A small 4 year old ran in, “MOM!!!!!!!” she screamed “KEVIN HURT ME!” she screamed.


A small boy of the age of 5 came in. “Did not…”


Kevin looked at his son, “did you hurt her?”


“No I cant, she’s a girl” he said sitting down on Jenny’s lap. Jenny laughed.


Everyone else came in and sat down.


I started thinking, our lives may not be perfect, but it’s a pretty happy ending.


Now, where exactly is Cody? I mean, he proposed and isn’t even with me?
