Welcome to Sammy's Tutorialz!
I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7. Some of these MIGHT be compatible with Photoshop.
I'm really not sure :S

BASIC BLENDING
Ok, so this tutorial is basically just basic blending.
Enjoy!

1. Open a new document about 800 x 600
2. Take your first image and go to Edit > Paste > As New Layer
It should look like this:

3. Now take your second image and go to Edit > Paste > As New Layer. Make sure this image is placed just over the side of the first one.
It should look like this:

4. Now for the blending part. Go to your ERASER tool. And set the settings as follows:
Shape: Round
Size: 50
Hardness: 30
Opacity: 100
And erase part the part of the second picture that is overlapping the first picture.
It should look like this:

Now just crop the image and add some text, brushes, coloring, etc.

Coloring One
1. Choose a picture with some light blue in it.
I chose this one:

2. Now go to Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Channel Mixer
And use these settings:
Red: 139
Green: 19
Blue: -60

3. Now go to Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Curves
And use these settings:
Input: 206
Output: 236

This is what you should have so far:

4. Now go to Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance (you can leave this part out if you like what you have so far. This just evens out the color)

Midtones: -42, 10, -4
Shadows: -29, 0, -15
Highlights: 26, -7, -2

This is what I ended up with:

The coloring isn't very good, but it shows you how to use each different coloring tool.
