CHAPTER UNO.

"We're going to meet the JONAS BROTHERS!" Maria squealed at the top of her lungs.
I sighed silently.
"I know! Oh my flipping gosh, I am SO excited!" Courtney said.
"I just can't believe it, I just can't believe it, I just can't believe it," Sarah kept repeating over and over.
Out of all of my friends, I was the only one who didn't like the Jonas Brothers. I just didn't understand. Why did everyone like them so much? Why was everyone so obsessed? I, on the other hand, honestly thought they were annoying little stuck-up brats.
"Starry, you're coming, right?" asked Courtney.
I knew they would be disappointed if I said no.
"Yeah, sure," I mumbled.
"Yay!" Maria said excitedly.
"Only on more day..." Sarah said, off in her dreamworld.
"Sarah! Sarahhh...?" I said, trying to get her out of her trance.
"Yeah?" she said, snapping up immedeately.
All of us laughed. Then, there was silence.
"JONAS BROTHERS!" Sarah yelled.
The three girls starting chattering away excitedly.
I sighed, got up, and mumbled, "I'm gonna go get a soda." No one seemed to notice.
When I came back with the soda, I did the alphabet game with the cap. "A, B, C, D," and then I finally got to J.
"Hmmm... don't know any J's," I said to myself.
Sarah, Courtney, and Maria were still squealing like little pigs wanting to get out of a cage.
"Hey... don't we have to go shopping? To get new outfits? For something special?" I said over their voices. Anything other than listening to them talk about the Jonas Brothers.
"Ooooh! Yes! Yes, yes, YES!" said Sarah.
As soon as we got to the mall, I went straight to Hot Topic. The other girls went to Abercombie, Hollister, and Old Navy.
I picked out a modern blue Hello Kitty hoodie with all kinds of designs on it. I would wear it with the white tank top. I also got a new pair of skinny jeans (since my old ones were worn out), and a black, glittery headband.
Just as we got to the mall exit, we all examined each other's clothes. It was like a ritual.
I looked at Sarah's jean skirt with black leggings and her red Hollister top.
"Ooh, that's nice, just wear red shoes or something with it," Maria said.
Then, Courtney stared at my outfit.
"Niiice," she said.
I looked at her flared blue jeans, Jonas Brothers shirt, and pink and black Vans.
"Where'd you get that shirt?" Maria immedeately said.
"Abercrombie," she replied, "in the back."
They all sprinted to Abercrombie, and I ran with them. I watched as they rushed to the back of the store and got shirts and their sizes. They checked out like lightning.
It was obvious that they were all happy.
We walked out of the mall, and I drove back to my house in my black BMW Z4.
I dropped them off at their houses and sped home.
When I got there, it was already 10:00 PM, maybe since Sarah's house was so far away.
I went into my room and fell asleep, too lazy to put on pajamas. I dreamed about what the concert would be like that night.

CHAPTER DOS.

I got up groggily out of bed and looked at the alarm clock.
Holy chicken. 9:53 already?! The concert started at eleven, and it took and hour to get there.
I dressed into my new outfit, brushed my hair, brushed my teeth, and put on a pair of ballet flats. My mom was cooking breakfast in the kitchen.
"Going to a concert Mom bye," I said as I was walking out the door.
I'm sure she said something back, but I didn't hear, since I was in my car on my way to a Jonas Brothers concert.
When I arrived, it was already 11:01, but thank goodness concerts usually start late.
I handed the ticket manager my ticket (Courtney bought it for me). He nodded and pointed to a pair of glass doors.
There were thousands and thousands girls ages eleven to eighteen, all screaming at once. I thought I saw someone I recognized in the crowd.
I pushed my way through the yelling Jonas Brothers fans and to the person that looked familiar. As I was getting closer, I realized that the person was familiar; it was Nichole! I hadn't seen her in two months.
"Nichole!" I screamed.
She didn't notice.
"NICHOLE!!!" I shrieked, even louder this time.
Her head turned slightly, and I started waving like crazy.
"Nichole, over here!"
She finally spotted me and came running over. She hugged me like she hadn't seen me in five years.
"Starry!" she yelled excitedly. "I missed you!"
"I missed you too!" I yelled back.
"What?!" she screamed.
"I! MISSED! YOU! TOO!"
"Oh."
"Let's go inside.
"What?!"
"INSIDE!" I screamed with all my might.
To her, it probably just sounded like I was talking normally.
We both walked inside. It was a lot quieter in there.
I coughed, my voice tired from yelling.
"So, you're a Jonas fan?" I asked.
She snicked. "Ha. Yeah. You're a Jonas fan?"
"Well, no. But Sarah, Courtney, and Maria dragged me along."
"Oh," she replied. "Wait; Sarah, Courtney, and Maria?"
"Yup."
"They're here?!" she said.
"Mmhhmm."
"Oh my gosh, I can't wait to see them!" she said in a musical tone. "What seats do you guys have?"
I pulled out my ticket.
"I have... K5. So that probably means they have seats right next to me."
She gasped.
"I have K6!"
"Wow. That's awesome."
She smiled and checked her watch.
"11:06! We gotta hurry!"
And we ran inside the concert hall.

CHAPTER TRES.

We ran to our seats. The opening act, Hannah Montana, was already performing. Maria, Courtney, and Sarah were waving their arms in the air and yelling.
I didn't like Hannah Montana either, but I decided I'd at least try to have a good time, so I stood up and jumped up and down.
There were lights flashing everywhere and girls, tons and TONS of them, were screaming. Hannah's voice was blaring through the gigantic speakers.
After singing three songs, Best of Both Worlds, Nobody's Perfect, and Rockstar, she yelled, "Are you guys ready for the JONAS BROTHERS?!"
The crowd roared so loud that I had to cover my ears.
"I can't hear you!" she screamed and held her microphone out to the audience.
They yelled twice as loud, almost so loud that I nearly fell out of my seat.
"Well, you better be, because HERE THEY ARE!"
I heard the shrieking voices of all the girls in the audience.
Why did they like them so much? I asked myself.
Nick and Kevin got risen on to the stage by platforms underneath it while Joe was running on. The intro for Hold On started, and then he started singing.
I got back out of my seat and waved my arms.
Nichole gasped. "IT'S HIM! IT'S REALLY, REALLY HIM! IT'S JOE JONAS!"
Maria screamed, "NICK! NICK, I LOVE YOOOOUUUU!!!"
"JONAS BROTHERS! NIIICCCK!" Sarah yelled.
"I LOVE YOU, JOE!" Courtney shrieked.
The next song they sung was SOS.

Well, I'm done
With awkward situations, empty conversatons
All the girls were singing along. I didn't know any of their lyrics, so, obviously, I couldn't.
When the concert was over, every single one of the girls looked worn out. Everyone, including me, surprisingly, was beaming. It actually wasn't so bad.
I took them a minute to register what was happening.
"Oh my gosh. It's time to meet them!" Maria said excitedly.
"Aaaahh, holy crap, I know! I can't believe it!" Courtney yelled.
"Now I can finally meet my husband..." Sarah said, putting her hands over her heart and staring into the sky.
"Psha. He's my husband," Maria shot back.
"No fair... you guys get to meet them?" Nichole asked.
"Yup," Courtney replied.
"Well, so do I!" she said as she pulled out her meet and greet pass.
I watched as the stage crew hauled the Jonas Brothers' stuff off the stage as I realized what I was going to be doing soon. I would be talking to the Jonas Brothers.

CHAPTER CUATRO.

"Anyone with meet and greet passes, come on over here!" said a fat, tough-looking stage manager.
Tons of girls, including Nichole, Maria, Courtney, and Sarah ran, screaming, showing the lady their meet and greets. I tried to keep up with them, but there were too many people in the way.
I shoved my way through to them, right behind Courtney. I showed the stage manager my meet and greet pass.
The girls squealed and ran backstage. This time, there was a scrawny old man looking at our meet and greets. He was the one who put people in the right order.
Unfortunately, we got put in the back of the line. I just wanted to get this whole darn thing over with. I sighed.
Sarah put her hands over her mouth and everyone else was sulking. "It's actually good that we're last; more time to spend with the Jonas Brothers!"
Maria gasped. "You're right!"
"Oh, joy," I said dully.
"Come on, Starry, cheer up!" Courtney encouraged. "They're just the Jonas Brothers. They're probably regular people."
"Incredibly, hot, regular people! With amazing voices!" Sarah squealed.
I rolled my eyes. But, actually, Courtney might have had a point. They're probably regular people, I thought over and over in my head. Sure, maybe I didn't like their music, but what if they were nice? And, I had to admit, Joe wasn't that bad-looking.
I tried to talk to them as much as possible, but it was basically no use, since all they were talking about was the Jonas Brothers.
Time flew by. That's weird, I thought time only flew by when you were having fun.
"It's finally our turn!" screeched Maria as she ran inside with us.
And then... there they were. The Jonas Brothers. All sitting at a small booth/table thing with three other girls who looked just as excited as the three other girls.
Courtney widened her eyes to the size of saucers. "It's... Joe," she whispered, poking Sarah.
I could tell that Maria was trying as hard as she could to be normal.
"Hi, Nick," she said, walking over to the table, "I'm Maria."
"Hey," he said back cooly.
She looked at us. "HOLY CRAP NICK JONAS JUST SAID HI TO ME!"
Nick laughed.
Maria's face flushed red. "Sorry..."
"JONAS!" Sarah screamed, and then immedeately covered her mouth.
I bit my tongue to hold back a laugh.
"Hey, why don't you look excited?" Kevin asked me.
I felt my cheeks get hot.
"Ummm... you really wanna know the truth?"
"Yeah."
"Well... I'm not really a fan."
"Oh, that's okay. There's tons of people like that."
I smiled. He seemed pretty nice.
Joe said, "Hey, why don't you come sit over here?" He pointed to the seat next to him.
"Okay..."
The other girls at the table looked pretty normal. One had blonde hair and blue eyes, the other dark brown hair with brown eyes, and the last one, wild, beautiful black hair. They all looked about 15-17ish.
"But... Joe!" Courtney whined, "I'm your wife!"
"No, I'M his wife!" Nichole shot.
"Ummm... sorry about them, they get a little... odd at times," I said to Joe.
He chuckled. "That's okay. So, what's your name?"
"Starry."
"I'm... well, you probably already know my name." He smiled.
I softly laughed. "Yeah."
In the next five minutes, I actually had a decent conversation with the Jonas Brothers! Everyone was chattering away excitedly. I even saw Joe wink at me!
"So, what are your names?" I asked the other girls at the table.
"Sophie," one of them said.
"Alvana," another one said.
"Stephanie," said the other one.
"Hey, I'm Starry."
"Starry... I, need to talk to you," he said as he lead me over far away backstage.
It was really dark.
He sighed and started his conversation.
"I usually don't believe in love at first sight... but," he started, "well, I think you know the rest. I'd figured you're smart enough to know."
"Yeah," I replied.
He touched both my hands, but I backed away gently.
"Joe, I'm sorry, but, can we just be friends?" I asked.
"Sure," he said, and I thought I saw him smile through the darkness.
We walked back over to the table, and Kevin said, "That was quick."
One more hour flew by.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Joe lean over to give Sophie a quick kiss on the cheek.

CHAPTER CINCO.

Sophie looked stunned, but she didn't say anything, nor did I. Her and I exchanged uneasy glances. Which one of us did Joe like?
Maria and Nick were in deep conversation. All of a sudden, he took her by the hand far away from the table where nobody could see them. I knew what they were going to do.
I glanced quickly under the table. Sophie and Joe were holding hands.
My head popped back up. And they weren't even talking to each other, they were talking to different people! Joe was talking to Courtney, and Sophie was talking to Alvana. I was so confused!
"Nichole? I have to talk to you," I said quickly. We walked over to another booth.
"What is it?" she moaned.
"Did you see what Joe did to Sophie?"
"Yes."
I saw her eyes getting red.
"And... I didn't know he liked her that way. I thought he liked me."
A tear softly rolled down her cheek.
"Nichole, hun. Sometimes people don't always get who they want! I mean, Joe was probably just a celebrity crush."
"No," she blubbered, "he wasn't. He isn't."
"Maybe one day, he might just date you!" I said encouragingly.
She smirked.
"No way. It's obvious that he likes you, Courtney, and Sophie. No one else."
"You don't know that, though. He's an actor also, you know."
Her eyes were stung red.
"I love him," she whispered.
"Really? Are you in love with him?" I asked.
"Yes."
She paused.
"Let's go back to the table now," she said.
"Wait; your eyes are still red."
She started bawling.
Joe ran over.
"Nichole! What's wrong?"
"You," she whispered.

CHAPTER SEIS.

"What did I do?" he asked gently.
She looked him deeply in the eyes. A look of grief crossed her face. She said nothing.
"What did I do?" he repeated.
I looked over to see that the others were watching the whole thing.
"I'm... in love with you," she whispered, as another tear rolled down her cheek.
"Nichole..."
"I know. Just hate me for life."
"No, I... I don't know. Honestly."
He looked very hurt. But... why?
He turned and walking back to the table like everything was fine. He continued on his conversation with his friends.
"Starry, I..."
She didn't finish her sentence. But I understood.
"I know," I reassured her, "I really do."
And it was true.
The next thing I knew, Stephanie was at our table, talking to us.
"Nichole, what's wrong?"
She looked down at her feet and said, "Joe."
"What did he do?"
"Kissed Sophie," she mumbled.
"Oooh... yeah," she said. "I'm guessing you like Joe?"
"Yeah."
Nichole looked over at the worst time possible.
He was kissing Sophie, and it wasn't just on the cheek.
"He's... he's... JOE!" Nichole yelled.
He looked over immedeately.
"Yeah?"
"How... could... you?" she said in a squeaky voice.
"Aaack, Nichole!"
"What do you want? Huh? Just tell me!" she said furiously.
He sighed.
"Just tell her, Joe," Alvana whispered.
I was guessing she was their sister, since probably no one else would make the Jonas Brothers do something.
"Nichole... I just, please?"
"Please what?"
His face was turning red.
"Just... stop."
"Wha.. wh... what?" she squeaked.
He sighed.
"He likes me, not you," Sophie said cruely.
That's when she decided not to be nice to Sophie anymore.

CHAPTER SIETE.

Nichole glared at her.
"Oooh. Glaring. Scary!" she said sarcastically.
I looked her coldly dead-straight in the eyes.
"I really don't like you," Nichole said harshly to Sophie.
"That's fine. I don't like you either."
She whispered something in my ear, so I just nodded unoticably in response.
"I'm just going to ignore her," she muttered, looking down at the table so it didn't look like she said anything.
"What? You too chicken to say anything back?"
I thought I saw Joe laugh suttly. Everyone else at the table didn't look too happy.
"So, what did you-" Nichole was saying at my phone went off.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Honey... it's 1:30. Time to come home," my mom said through the phone.
"What?! I mean, um, yeah, sure, bye."
I hung up the phone.
"I have to go," I mumbled, embarrassed.
"Bye, Starry," Maria said as she hugged me.
I hugged her back.
"Hey, Alvana, Nichole, Stephanie, Maria, Courtney, and Sarah, you guys wanna ride home with me?"
I looked up to Sophie, who looked clearly offended. It was pretty much my plan.
"Sorry, I'm taking Sarah, Nichole, and Maria home," Courtney said. "But I'll see you later!"
We all hugged each other except that nobody hugged Sophie. I thought I saw a look of sadness in her eyes, and for one tiny second, I felt sorry for her.
Everyone walked into the parking lot and exchanged numbers. Then, we went home.
On the way back, we talked about a lot.
"Sophie sure isn't too nice," Stephanie said.
"I know!" replied Alvana. "But... it's not really her fault. It's kind of Joe's fault, too."
"Yeah, but then she, like... bashed Nichole!" I chimed in.
"I don't like Sophie," Alvana said.
Stephanie snorted. "Me neither."
"Me neither."
My phone went off again. The caller ID read JONAS.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey."
The voice was Kevin's.

"Kevin?" I choked out.
"Yup," he laughed, "it's me."
I laughed nervously.
"What's up?"
"Not much. I was just wondering, well, umm... if-"
"Just ask her!" I heard a voice quietly in the background.
"If you wanted to go out," he said quickly.
"Kevin, wow, umm... yes! But... there's a two year age difference."
He sighed.
"I know. That's what sucks. But we can work our way through it."
I smiled and looked over to Alvana. She was smiling, too.
"Yeah."
"Crap, I gotta go, Joe has to call our mom."
I was a little disappointed.
"Okay."
"Bye, Starry."
"Bye."
I hung up the phone, beaming.
"What was that all about?" asked Stephanie.
"Holy chicken OMG I'M DATING KEVIN JONAS!" I squealed.
"You're dating my... brother?" Alvana said.
My smile turned into a frown.
"That's great! That means that if you two get married, that we'll be sister-in-laws!"
I smiled. Stephanie laughed.
"Oooh, thank goodness Nick's still single," she sighed.
We reached a stoplight and I looked over to my left.
"Umm... Stephanie? I'm not so sure about that."
There was Nick, with his arm around Maria, talking to her in deep conversation.

CHAPTER NUEVE.

"What the...?" Stephanie said, with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Steph, I'm sure there's other guys out there, well, that you'll like a lot more than Nick," said Alvana.
"You're right," she said, "there are."
But I could tell she was still sad.
I drove in silence. There were lots of things on my mind. I was caught between two friends; Maria and Stephanie, I was dating Kevin Jonas, and on top of all that, the Sophie drama.
"Why so quiet, Starry?" Alvana asked.
"I'm just... thinking," I replied quietly.
We were all silent for the next couple minutes until Stephanie broke the silence.
"Oh my Jonas, Starry, that's so awesome that you're dating Kevin!"
I laughed.
"I know," I bragged.
They laughed also.
"Isn't it weird, how you just met someone thirty minutes ago, and they feel like your best friends?"
Alvana grinned.
"Yeah."
At least the mood was lightening up a little.
"Hey guys, what station do you want?" I said, gesturing to the radio.
"I've got a Jonas CD!" Stephanie said excitedly.
When we got to a red light, I took the CD from her hand and popped it in the radio. Then Joe started sining Hello Beautiful.
I could hear Stephanie quietly humming from the back, but when Nick's voice came on, she didn't look too happy.
"I wanna talk to him," she moaned.
"Well, then call him!" Alvana suggested.
She sighed.
"Okay."
