View Full Version : 3D Movie to Be Filmed THIS Friday in Salt Lake

Just to pass on some info to y'all. My friend works at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City. He'll be Miley's guide through the facility this Friday and Saturday in Salt Lake.

Wanted to let any fans who'll be at the Utah show on Friday know that Friday night is the night they'll be filming the movie to be shown in theaters in February. And, the Arena staff was told ahead of time to not be alarmed...some numbers may be performed more than once for the filming.

So, if you'll be going that night....that's DEFINITELY the night to go. Have fun!

they filmed every concert, they were doing it at the Minneapolis one, but they only did the songs once!

Actually....I don't think they were filming at the other concerts; but, rather those are cameras to show everything on the big screens that are all over the stage. This concert on Friday was actually just added the middle of last week specifically for the movie taping, with the tickets going on sale just 3 days ago with the concert being in a day and a half.

For a movie to be 3/D, you have to have special lighting. It's the lighting that makes the effect. That's what the 3/D glasses do....blends the colors together.

Anyway, Disney came in and talked with the Energy Solutions arena staff to talk about what was going to take place Friday, and specifically mentioned the movie is being taped on Friday and to expect the songs to be done more than once. Thus, Disney told the staff to plan on the concert going on longer than the other one originally scheduled for the next night.

^^ That's ok. Chatted with someone on a different forum. THey mentioned that the 3/D camera equipment may get in the way a lot during the Friday night concert. So, you might be happier at the Saturday one anyway. Have a blast :-)

I read a couple days ago where it will only be in theatres for one weeek!

It might only be in theaters for a week but you know they are going to release it on DVD
