It's not surprising if people do not know who the JoBros are. I mean only Disney fans who actually go on forums (such as this) will have some knowledge about them. The fact that they're a starting act for Miley already shows that the Jonas Brothers are less popular. Same concept with the Click Five (They're the opening act for the Black Eyed Peas' concert in Singapore) though they are a decent band in their own right.

mileys good, but jonas brothers truthfully are a bit better. thats my opinion. listen to a good group of their songs. i only started properly listening to them a while ago, and they are really really great. ive listened to miley and JB around the same amount so im comparing my own views of them...

it was quite sad that the woman didnt know who the JB were...but that is a fact that they might not be that well known. i dont know - i dont live in the USA so i dont know how large their fanbase there is. But at the end of the day...JB = <3...not because of their looks, but because of their talent.

but JB hits the notes perfectly and stuff.
Plus, they rock out.

I intially went to the show for JB, but I left being obsessed with both.
They both put on good shows.

Now about the whole popularity thing.
Ok Miley is mostly known from disney.
Its fans ranging from 8 years of age to possibley 50. My grandmother is 76 and watches disney channel. Yeah.

Now because Miley has her own show (HUGE show), her own album, and soon to be movies... she is the biggest thing in entertainment history. Possibley for any age.

Now take the Jonas brothers, they weren't brought straight up from Disney. They started off attempting to make it on their own. Disney snatched 'em and used them as what they are. A band. Not a show (yet.). But for the time being they are just known as the people from the commercials.

Although they have gotton many fans from being on Disney commercials, because they do not have a show of their own currently their fanbase is still smaller than that of Mileys.

Thats basically it.
They both rock.
They both can sing.
They both can perform.

They aren't "too good for the tour".
It's a way to help them get more recognized and mesh Mileys fanbase with theirs.
They rock. They are good, but like I said 100000000 times they need the fans. Although they do have a lot already.
In my oppinion JB isn't getting enough credit for how far they've come. I mean years of hardwork... they didnt just appear on scene.
They'e extremely hardworker and extremely good performers.
In no time they'll have a sold out tour of their own.

I don't know..I guess that it'll get them some more attention or whatever, because its a huge tour. all the shows are sold out, and even after that theres a 3D movie, so I think more people will discover the Jonas Brothers because of the tour.
So if you want them to gain more popularity, maybe being in the Miley/Hannah tour is a good thing for them.
Except I was reading the newspaper about the concert on Dec. 6 [the day after the concert here] and they said that the Jonas Brothers were terrible and Miley was an excessively talented performer for a 15-year-old. I'm not trying to bash the Jonas Brothers, but saying that they hit every note correctly and never lipsync during the tour is just wrong.
I've listened to "Hold on" and it doesn't sound thaaaat good, so i've searched for a Year 3000 recording but I wasn't able to found one where they sang it live.
Well somehow the Jonas Brothers kinda reminds of a German band called Tokio Hotel: They're not that special, more like a pupil's band which I can find anywhere, but a lot of young teeniegirls fell in love with them, so they're very popular now. Same with the Jonas Brothers. They're not that special, their only songs I like are Year 3000 and Kids of the future which are both covers. The rest is in my opinion not really alternative rock music, more like very very soft rock.
Well, at least they seem to be cool and funny guys, but their music....well, it's not bad but in my opinion I think you kinda have to have a crush on one of them to become a fan.

I'm not bashing the Jonas Brothers and/or Miley!
The Jonas Brothers and Miley rock equally.
The Jonas Brothers are just as good as Miley.
Yes, Miley has sold more albums, but the Jo Bros only have one major album, (they have 2 albums but the first one isn't major)
The Jonas Brothers tend to have the majority of fans aged between 12 and 20 and they don't appeal to younger fans as Miley doesn't, therefore they have a smaller fan base.
I am a huge Miley fan but I'm also a big Jonas Brothers fan.
The Jo Bros got where they are all due to dedication and hard work, Miley had no infulence on their rise to stardom.
Miley isn't trying to make the Jo Bros look good, nor is she trying to help the Jonas Brothers get more fans by them being her opening act.
I love all Miley/Hannah songs, as well as all Jonas Brothers songs. I think they all rock.
They Jonas Brothers and Miley each have their own style, taste and voice.
I don't believe in comparing them with each other in how talented they are or how many fans each of them have because I believe that's its unfair and its not giving them enough credit.
Miley and the Jonas Brothers are really close friends, and they don't bicker about who has more fans etc., so why should we??
If I could go to a Miley concert, I would go for both acts, Miley/Hannah and the Jo Bros, becuase I believe that they are as good as each other!
This isn't the first popular Jonas Brothers event, and they have peformed other placed that are popular events.
They don't need Miley help with getting fans.
You don't have to have a crush on any or all of the Jonas Brothers to be a fan, i'm a fan coz I think they rock!!
Having said that you don't need to have a crush on Miley to be her fan, even though I have a huge crush on her!!
They Jonas Brothers aren't soft rock they are Rock/Pop!

In closing, the Jo Bros and Miley, you rock!! I ♥ you, Miley till the end of time! :D

And the Jonas Brothers? Their second album is an "above average" success because Disney promoted them on Radio Disney, not because they worked harder on this one. Just because they made an album before they were famous doesn't mean they worked harder on their success than Miley.
Well, I think in a buisness like this luck is the main factor, not talent and hard work. I bet there are many people out there who got talent and work hard but aren't famous because they aren't as fortunate as the Jonas Brothers or Miley.

i dont really like the jobros, so i'm going to the concert for miley. all of the promos for the concert say that the jobros were going to be there too so i'm surprised that the lady talking to ur mom didn't know about them.

by the way, i went to the cheetah girls/aly and aj concert in 2005 and the jobros were there signing autographs. me and my sis got them.(they weren't famous yet)they were a surprise opening.
