Summary:

Troy and Gabriella just broke up. Troy still really likes Gabriella, but Gabriella just wants to be friends. Will Troy win her back? Or will they just be friends forever?

Troy and Gabriella just broke up. How did they break up? Nobody knows. Gabriella was walking down the hall, heading for algerbra. She still couldn't get over how Troy had broken up with her. She has had lots of very sweet boyfriends, and they all turned out the same. Missing dates, no gifts, and most importantly, no kisses. Troy thought that having a girlfriend effected his playing and studies, so he decided to just be friends. Then Troy realized how special Gabriella was, and regretted what he had done.

"Gabriella!" Troy said, running down the hall. He finally got the courage to tell her how he really felt. She turned around, and stared at him. "Look, I was an idiot to break up with you. I don't know why I did it, and I really want to get back together." Gabriella was still staring. "Troy, I know what you said. We should just be friends. Done." Gabriella replied at walked away.

Troy was just standing there, sad that she just wanted to be friends. 'There had to be a way to get her back,' Troy thought. 'There just HAS to be a way.'



i know that this story is horrible so far, but its gonna get better! at least i think it is... :D

Later that day, Sharpay was talking with Gabriella at her(Sharpay) house. "Troy is just, you know, stressed out. Just forgive him and you will be back together in no time." Sharpay said, laying on her bed with Gabriella pacing across her room. "I know, but he means what he says and says what he means. It's just, I never knew he would actually break up with me," Gabriella replied. She stopped and looked at Sharpay. "Hm, I don't know. Maybe just take it slowly and he might try and get back together." Sharpay suggested. Gabriella sighed. "Let's just hope so."

THE NEXT DAY

Troy was thinking about trying to get Gabriella to know how stupid he was to break up with her. Taylor walked up to him in the hallway and slapped his shoulder. "Why in the WORLD would you break up with her?!" She demanded. "One, OW! And two, I am just, stressed out. I really want to get back together with her, but I guess she hates me. And don't slap me!" Troy answered, holding his shoulder. "Oh, sorry. But you don't meet a girl like her often. Smooth move." Taylor said and left. Troy stopped and thought. 'She's right, Gabriella is special, and maybe to get her to like me again, I should do something special!' Troy smiled and walked to his next class.

AN HOUR LATER

Sharpay was in the auditorium looking at a new song Kelsi had wrote for her and Ryan in the school talent show that was in 3 days. Troy walked in to see if Gabriella was there. Instead he found Sharpay sitting on the stage, so he went to ask her if she would know where Gabriella was. "Sharpay! Hi!" Troy said and walked down the aisle. "Oh, hey Troy! I have a question for you." Sharpay said. Troy came up to her and nodded. "Yea, what is it? And I have a question for you when your done asking me." Sharpay put the music down. "I was wondering if you could to the talent show with me. Ryan just got strep throat yesterday and he can't sing with me. Please?" She asked. Troy looked at her really hard. "Um, sure I guess." Troy answered. "Great! So what did you want to ask me?" "Oh, nothing important. See you after school." Troy said, ran towards the doors, and waved. "Toodles!" Sharpay said.

"Okay, Troy is doing the talent show with me. Now what's next?" Sharpay asked Taylor, Chad, and Ryan. The four were in their homeroom, discussing about getting Troy and Gabriella back together. "Lets see, we need to get Gabriella to do it. I can take care of that." Ryan replied and walked away from the group. Just as Ryan was leaving, Kelsi walked in and joined Chad, Taylor, and Sharpay. "Hey Kels! Did you finish the song yet? Troy's doing to talent show. We just need to get Gabriella to do it too." Taylor said. Chad nodded. "Yea, I finished it. Where is Troy anyway?" Kelsi replied. Everyone looked at eachother. Troy just walked in, noticing the group by Sharpay's desk. He walked up to them and said, "Hey everyone. What's up?". "Oh, hey dude! Remember, practice today and tomorrow. Championship's Friday!" Chad said as he got off of his seat and patted is friend on the shoulder. "Yea, how can't I forget that?" Troy joked. "See you later. I have to go get my books." Chad waved and left.

Gabriella was at her locker getting everything put away and getting her books. Ryan walked up to her and tapped her shoulder. "Hey Gabriella. I was wondering if you would to the Talent Show with me. Sharpay just got strep throat." Ryan asked, just like Sharpay did to Troy. "Um, sure. What song are we going to sing?" She asked. "I don't know. Kelsi just finished it. I'll give it to you later today. Thanks!" Ryan replied and walked away.

After school that day, Gabriella was with Taylor on her balcony at her house. "Taylor, do you think he wants to get together again? I doubt that he does." Gabriella asked. Little did they know that a crowd of Wildcat basketball players were walking by. That included Troy and Chad. :o Anyways, "Gabb, he said he was stupid to break up with you. Duh! Just give him a chance. Remember last year?" Taylor replied. "Yea, I do. He said I wasn't important... :'( . I really like him. I thought coming here and meeting him was the best thing in the world. But I guess not. Well, right now he isn't important. Trying to get scholarships and such is much more important than relationships. I'm just going to try and forget about hi-" Gabriella was interrupted by Taylor turning her around. She saw Troy, standing there, looking up, starting to cry. "Troy! No, I didn't mean that!" Gabriella explained. He ran down the street to his house. The rest of the team walked past and shook their heads. "Now I'm the idiot!" Gabriella exclaimed and ran inside to her bedroom.

Taylor followed her in and sat down beside her. "Gabriella. Get yourself together. Let's study for the decatholon. Forget about him." Taylor said. Gabriella nodded and went to get her books.

~~THURSDAY: THE TALENT SHOW~~

"Troy! Sharpay! Get out here!" Ms. Darbus shouted. Both students rushed beside her on the side of the stage. "Ok, are you two ready?" She asked. Both nodded. "Wait, I forgot something! Be right back!" Sharpay said. She ran to her dressing room and didn't come back. (plan into action). Ryan and Gabriella were at the back of the auditorium. "Gabriella, Sharpay doesn't really have strep throat. This was all apart of our plan to get you and Troy together again. You're singing with him." Ryan just blurted out. "What? NO! I can't! He hates me!" She went to run away but Chad stopped her. "Gabriella, he likes you. Just shocked you said what you said. Go for it." Chad said. Gabriella looked up at him and started to tear up. She hugged him, Ryan, and Taylor. The song began.

AFTER THE SONG

Everyone was on stage, congradulating the two that they one the annual talent show's trophy. Troy and Gabriella walked away from eachother, not knowing that both of them really wanted to get back together. Before that, they just said, "Great job," and "Congrats!", but nothing else. They didn't smile, and Ryan, Sharpay, Taylor, and Chad thought that they did nothing to get their friends back together.

FRIDAY: THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Troy and Chad were on the court, bringing the ball to their side. When they finally reached the half court line, Troy shouted "32!" which was a play like the one in the first movie. He shot the ball, made it, and the crowd went wild. Everyone was shouting, and the team and cheerleaders were dancing. After a while, Gabriella ran up to Troy and said, "Congradulations!" Troy stood their like he had seen a ghost, not saying anything. "Troy, I know what I said was really wrong of me, and I really like you, and-" She started to explain but was interrupted by Troy kissing her. Gabriella knew that he really liked her too. When they finally broke apart, they were both smiling. "So, does this mean we are getting back together?" Troy asked. Gabriella nodded. "Duh! Here's to you're win," Troy looked at the team. "No, here's to us." Troy said. They both leaned in to kiss. Everyone was watching them, smiling that their plan did work.
