FIRST DAY
“Ashley! Get up!” My mom shouted, pulling my blanket off me.
“UGH! MOM! It’s 3 am!” I yelled pressing my pillow on my ear.
“It’s 6:30… NOW GET UP!” She said pulling me off the bed. “You need to get ready for school!”
I stood up and looked at her. “3 am, 6:30… Like it matters! It’s still early!” I said flopping down on my bed.
She pulled me off again. “UP!”
I groaned and shoved her out of the room so I could get dressed. I walked over to my closet and pulled out a uniform and groaned.
After I got dressed I looked at myself in the mirror.
“Stupid uniform…” I mumbled to myself as I left my room and walked down the stairs.
“Aww! Don’t you just look adorable!” my mom cooed from the kitchen.
I let out a fake laugh and turned around. “Yeah, I’m going back up to bed now…”
“Heh! Try again Ashley! You are going to school… Just like the rest of the bunch.” She said tossing my backpack at me.
“Oh yeah, well where are they?!” I said looking around the room.
“They are going to a different school…” She said.
I looked at her. “What?! Why!? I thought that the school I am being forced to go to is the closest one to the house!” I said furiously.
“It is. But they won’t accept Andrew, and the others are too young…” She said.
I rolled my eyes. “Yeah right…” I said under my breath walking over to the front door.
“What was that?” My mom asked.
“What? Nothing… I’m going to Jenny’s house… Her mom is gonna take the both of us to school.” I said quickly walking out of the house.
I walked across the road and then Jenny’s mom, Jenny’s sister Kathryn, Jenny and I were all off to the school.

AT THE SCHOOL

Jenny and I walked into our part of the school. Kathryn was in a different section.
But I looked around at the school, and then at Jenny.
“Jenny, you can’t tell me that being here don’t tick you off the slightest bit!” I said.
She shrugged. “I don’t know… You tell me. Am I ticked?” She said laughing a little.
“Haha… Just come on. I think we have all the same classes… At least we’d better have all the same classes, or there are going to be serious problems!” I said dragging her to our home room class.
We walked in and both sat down. Then a few minutes later some girl came in and slammed her books on my desk.
“Ay! New freaky girl! That’s my seat!” She said loudly.
I looked up at her… “Um… I don’t think so…” I said going back to what I was doing before.
“You don’t think so? Well you need to rethink your actions small fry!” she scowled.
I looked at her books that were still sitting in front of me. She had a JB poster taped to one of them.
“Hey! You like the Jonas Brothers?!” I said.
She looked at her books, pulled them off the desk and glared at me.
“Yeah, what if I do.” She declared.
“Oh, well I think that’s pretty cool. I like them too…” I said smiling and grabbing her books.
She glared at me again. “Yeah, well… Stay away from him… He is mine.” She said pointing to Nick.
I smirked and walked to the back of them room. Apparently in the time that all this was happening, Jenny decided she would move to the back of the room.
“What’s that smirk supposed to mean?!” the bully girl called from across the room.
I turned to look at her. “Smirk? What smirk? I clearly have no idea what you are talking about.” I said smiling and sitting down.
Just then the teacher walked in. “Jaclyn Barker! Take your seat at once! You’ve been in my class for three years now, I really don’t want to make it a fourth.” She said walking over to board and starting to write on it.
Just then the girl in front of me turned around. “Hey. I’m Ashley.” She said putting out a hand.
“Um… Me too.” I said shaking her hand.
“Cool. Well anyways, I saw the way you stood up to Jaclyn. It was totally awesome!” She whispered to me.
“Ashley Brown! Please don’t make me tell you on the first day of school to be quiet in my class. You’ve been to this school long enough to know the rules.” The teacher said still writing on the board.
“AND TURN AROUND!”
Just then the girl in front of me quickly jumped around in her seat that she almost fell off.
“Uh yes, sorry Ms. Shark! I – I mean Ms. Stark! Sorry…” She said rapidly, I almost couldn’t make out the words.
The teacher continued writing on the board and soon the class was over.
As we all stood up to go to lunch the teacher stopped us.
“Oh, yes… I forgot… There will be a school dance at the end of the week, and I hope to see you all there!” She said as many people in the crowd of kids huddling around the door let out moans and groans. And maybe a ‘WOO!’ or two.

LUNCH

I got my lunch, which actually looked quite tasteful compared to the ones at my old school.
And then I went and found Jenny. She was sitting with the Ashley girl from homeroom.
“Hey Ashley. It’s me, Ashley. From homeroom! But you can call me Aly.” she said as I sat down.
“Hi… And you can call me… Um… Heh… Mufasa.” I said laughing.
“OMG! ARE YOU SERIOUS! WOO!” Jenny exclaimed.
“Mufasa? Why Mufasa?” She asked.
“Cuz she belongs in a cage at a zoo!” I heard Jaclyn laugh from behind me.
I turned around to face her, and stood up.
“Actually… I got the nickname from Joe. You know, Jonas.” I said.
She rolled her eyes. “Pa-lease small fry! You know you don’t know no Joe Jonas!” she scoffed.
“Know them? I practically live at there house! I’m over there like all the time! They live just next door to me!” I exclaimed.
Ms. Stark walked over to us. “Do we have a problem over here ladies.”
We both shook our heads and I sat back down.
Once Ms. Stark left, Jaclyn started talking again.
“Look small fry, the boys don’t live by you, and that is final! Next you’ll be telling me that you’re dating one of the boys!” She scoffed.
Jenny stared at me and shook her head.
I stood back up and faced Jaclyn. “Actually… I am dating one of them. And I believe it is you who should stay away from Nick. Cuz in reality, he is mine…” I said.
“Oh really? Well then new kid… I guess you should be able to bring your little boy toy to the dance at the end of the week…” She said sitting me down in my seat and walking off.
I turned around and looked at Jenny and Ashley.
They both looked really worried.
Jenny the most since she knew all of it was true.
I just looked down and started eating my food. They both just kept looking at me.
“What?!” I finally exclaimed.
They both just shook it off and continued eating.

OOH! EVIL CLIFF-HANGER! lol

TALK TO HIM
The next day came around, and Jenny, Aly and I had to deal with Jaclyn the whole day.
She mostly bugged me about the whole Jonas thing, but I guess it’s something that I’d just have to live with.
I didn’t see the boys yesterday, I got too busy, but today I made room to go see them, so I could introduce Aly to them. And maybe ask Nick if he’ll go to the dance.
“Okay Aly, I’m happy you could come over today, that’s awesome.” I said getting out of Jenny’s moms car. She seemed to be the carpool for school so far.
“And now the three of us – you, Jenny, and me – are going to go over to that house over there.” I said pointing to the Jonas house.
“Okay. Is that your house?” she asked.
Jenny and I both shook our heads.
“Even better! Like, ten times better! That house right there is the Jonas abode.”
“You guys are serious aren’t you? About the whole Jonas thing going on at school with Jaclyn.” Aly said.
Jenny and I both nodded, and the three of us made our way off to the house.
“Knock, knock!” I called out as I rang the doorbell.
“Knock, knock? Mufasa, you rang the doorbell!” Jenny laughed.
Aly and I joined in on the laughter. But stopped instantly when the door open.
“Hey guys! What’s up?! This is our new friend Ashley!” Jenny said introducing her.
“But you can call me Aly.” She said completely star struck.
Then she just sat there with her mouth hanging open.
I closed her mouth shut and laughed. “Might want to keep that closed… Bugs could nest.” I said walking in.
It took some effort, but Jenny and I got Aly into the house.
“Well hey Aly. I’m Kevin. And that over there glued to the television is Joe. And um, nice outfits… Triplets?” Kevin laughed closing the door. [Take Note We Are Still In School Uniform]
She nodded furiously. “Yeah… I know! I love you guys!!!” She exclaimed.
I laughed a little. “Hey Kev, where is Nick?” I asked him.
Kevin pointed upward, and then the three of them went into the living room with Joe, and I walked upstairs and into Nick’s room.
“Why do you hang out up here so much?” I asked as I walked in.
He jumped around. “Ashley! Hey!” he said completely ignoring my question. But I didn’t worry about it.
I walked over and sat down next to him.
“Hey Nick, can I ask you a question?” I said fiddling with the sleeves of my blouse.
He looked at me funny… “Uh… Sure. Of course.” He said putting his arm around me.
I let out a long and deep sigh. “Well there is this dance thing at my school on Friday… And I was kinda wondering if you would go with me. I mean, since we are dating…” I said quietly.
“At your school? Oh… Um… Well I don’t know…” He said looking around the room quickly.
I looked at him. “You don’t know? Oh… I see…” I said standing up slowly. “Well I guess I better go see if Aly is getting along with your brothers okay…” I said walking out of the room and downstairs.
“So did you find Nick?” Kevin asked when I sat down in the living room.
I nodded and Jenny looked at me.
“Did you ask him?” She asked. And I nodded again.
“Ask him what?” Joe asked.
“What did he say?” Aly asked.
“He said he don’t know…” I said softly.
“Said he don’t know what?!” Joe asked.
“Said he don’t know to the question Ashley asked him of course!” Jenny said.
We all laughed a little. Then Nick walked into the room.
“Hey guys.” He said quietly.
And everybody said hey.
I got up to go to the kitchen. “Hey, um… Anybody want something to drink?” I asked.
They all said no, so I walked into the room. Nick followed me.
“Ashley, you know I’m sorry that I might not go.” Nick said standing behind the counter while I got into the fridge.
“Well yeah, but still… And if you don’t go… Could I maybe go with somebody else? Cuz I’ve gotten asked by a few gents…” I said.
He looked nervous. “Oh… Um… Well I don’t know…” He said.
I groaned. “Can’t you give me an answer besides I don’t know?! I mean it’s not that hard to say yes; and it’s not that hard to say no!” I yelled just loud enough for the two of us to hear.
“Ashley. Please don’t be like that…” Nick said walking over to where I was standing going in to give me a hug.
But I walked away. “Look, I’m sorry Nick, but I don’t know what to say right now… And, well, you know what… Just forget about the whole dance thing… I’m just not going to go.” I said kissing Nick on the cheek and walking towards the front door.
“Hey guys! I’m going to go home okay! Not feeling too well…” I said opening the door.
Everybody said bye, and then it was quiet as I closed the door.
I felt a tear or two run down my face.

[Nick’s Point Of View]
Ashley left the house. I walked over to a window and watched her leave.
I felt a tear or two roll down my face as she left.

Alright... There You Go... Now Like I Said Before, I Really Don't Like This Chapter, But Oh Well... ENJOY!

DANCE FRENZY
The next few days went by, and today was the dance. Jaclyn bugged me more and more everyday about the Nick thing. It was almost starting to get annoying, but it was something that I would just have to learn to deal with. I mean I did lay this on myself.
But anyways, I haven’t seen much of the boys since that one day. A part of me wanted to see them everyday, but an even bigger part of me was happy that I used homework and school as an excuse to stay home.
“Ashley! Come on! You need to get over yourself! You know you’re not mad at Nick, or the other brothers… Just please come over there with me!” Jenny yelled at me.
We were at her house right now, and I think she was having some sort of Jonas withdrawal or something.
“Jenny, please. I don’t need this from you. Besides, I have to get ready for the dance. So I’m heading home.” I said walking towards the front door.
“Wait. The dance? You’re going?” Jenny said following me.
“Sure. I figured I might as well. I have nothing better to do. So I guess I’ll see you there then.” I said walking out of the house.
I walked home, and went straight to my room to change.

Then after I was all dressed and ready, I was off to the dance.

[Nick's Point Of View]
I hadn’t heard from Ashley in a few days, so I sat in my room texting her and calling her.
She never answered my phone calls, and never responded to my texts. I was sorta starting to get frustrated.
I called Jenny.

[Jenny Nick]

Hello?
Hey Jenny, it’s Nick.
Oh, hi Nick! What’s up?
I was just wondering if Ashley was mad at me.
Mad? No…
Really? Then why won’t she answer my calls or reply to my texts?
I don’t know Nick.
Maybe I should go ask her… Should I go to her house and do that?
No.
What? Why not?
Cuz she isn’t over there.
Oh. Well is she at your house?
No.
Okay... Aly's?
No… She’s at the dance.
The dance? You mean your school dance?
Yes, the dance. Our school dance. I’m about to go there, why?
Oh… Um… Nothing. But I gotta go, bye.

I hung up before she said anything else and ran to Joe and Kevin’s room.

[Jenny's Point Of View]
Nick hung up on me before I could say anything else.
“Weirdo boy…” I laughed as I hung up my phone and started to walk to the car to go to the dance.
When I got there I instantly found Ashley by the punch bowl.
“Hey Ashley.” I said as I walked over to her.
She smiled and took me over to a table that Aly was sitting at. But she didn’t say anything.
The three of us just sat there. We didn’t dance, but we planned on doing so soon. At the moment they played mostly fancy Mozart type of songs, and those were pretty much things that you couldn’t dance to.
Jaclyn came over quite a few times to bug on Ashley about Nick, and it wasn’t to fun listening to her loudmouth talk.
I was really surprised that Ashley never said anything, but I just sat and watched. I didn’t have anything better to do until they played a more likeable song.
After a few minutes of just sitting, some girl came out of nowhere and practically pounced on our table.
“AHHHHH! YOU GUYS WILL SO NOT BELIEVE WHO JUST WALKED IN!!!” the girl screeched.
Aly, Ashley and I just looked at her waiting for who had just walked in. But she didn’t say anything.
“Yo girl! Who is it?!” Aly yelled.
“NICK JONAS! AHHHHHHH!” she screeched again and then ran off to the mob of fan girls crowding around the entrance.
The girls and I looked at each other really confused, and then at the crowd.
We all got up slowly and just stood there.

[Nick's Point Of View]
There was a mob of girls forming around me as I walked into the dance.
But I didn’t see Ashley or any of her friends. At least not the ones I knew.
I finally made my way out of the mob and spotted Ashley, Aly and Jenny at a table.
I went to go walking towards them, when some girl jumped in front of me.
“Hi Nick! I can’t believe you actually came to see me!” she yelled loudly.
I looked at her funny. I tried not to be rude since she is a fan.
“Um… Well, I’m actually here to see somebody else… But it was nice meeting you!” I said walking around her and towards the girls once more.
Ashley started running towards me, and once we got close enough, we got into this huge hug.

[Ashley's Point Of View]
“Nick! I can’t believe you actually came! I’m so happy right now!” I said hugging him.
“Yeah, well I can’t believe you came! You said you wouldn’t.” he said releasing the hug.
“I know, but I couldn’t help myself… But still… I’m so happy that you came!” I said hugging him again.
Just then Jenny and Aly came walking up to us.
“Hey Nick, um… Well, not to be rude, but where is Joe? He is here isn’t he?!” Jenny said looking around all frantic like. It reminded me of the first day they met.
Nick and I just laughed.
“Yeah, him and Kevin are both out in the car. But if you could, maybe try not and get followed…” Nick said.
She got a smile on her face that was hugely huge, and grabbed Aly by the arm.
Then the two of them were off to the exit.

[Jenny's Point Of View]
I ran outside as fast as I could; bringing Aly with me of course.
And when I got outside, I soon saw a familiar car and went running towards it.
I knocked on the window and then almost got hit by the door when it was flung open.
“Jenny! Aly!” Joe yelled jumping out of the car.
“Joe! Kevin!” I yelled giving Joe a hug.
Aly and Kevin just laughed a little and stood there all quiet like.
“So what are you guys doing here?” Joe asked.
“Um… It’s kind of a dance that is going on at our school… So yeah…” Aly laughed.
“Right… I knew that.” Joe said. “So what are you guys doing out here? Shouldn’t you be in the school dancing your patooties off?” Joe asked.
We all laughed. “Um… Only if you guys come with us!” I said excitedly.
Joe and Kevin sat there for a little bit discussing what they would do.
Then in a weird, demented type of song, Joe answered. “Shall we?” he said holding out his hand for me to take.
Aly and I laughed. “We shall.” I said in the same demented kind of voice he had used.
We all laughed and went walking inside.
When we got in, they were playing better music, some that you could dance to, and so we I danced with Joe, Aly danced with Kevin, and Ashley danced with Nick.

[Jaclyn's Point Of View]
I stood at the spot Nick had left me at. Only now I was surrounded by my posse.
I was glaring at Ashley.
“Wow… I guess she wasn’t lying about what she had said…” My sister Phoebe said.
“Shut up Phoebe! I don’t need to hear that right now!” I scolded her.
“UGH! How can he choose her!? And over me!” I said loudly.
“What are you going to do about it?” Sandra, my right-hand man, said.
I looked at her. “What do you think I’m going to do?” I said turning my attention back to Ashley.
“I’m going to do anything possible to get things my way… The girl must go down. We’re gonna break them up.” I said smiling evilly.

Well the weekend just ended, and it was time for school. I thought about ways to mess with Ashley, but nothing came too quickly.
“So what are you going to do?” Phoebe asked me on the way to getting in the car.
“I’m not quite sure yet… But I think I might manipulate her to break up with Nick.” I said.
“Manipulate? Are you sure you know how to do that?” Phoebe scoffed.
I shot a look at her. “You know what I mean Phoebe!” I snapped.
She slouched down in her seat and looked out the window.
And I went back to think up ways to get at Ashley.

AT SCHOOL

I got to school and instantly walked into homeroom. I was glad to see Ashley there already, and I walked over to her.
“Ashley, hey!” I said forcing a smile onto my face. “Love the outfit!”
She looked down at the clothes she was wearing, and then back up at me.
“Um, are you feeling well Jaclyn?” She asked.
“Of course I am silly! Anyways, I just wanted to say that, I forgive you. And am hoping that the two of us can start out fresh… You know, like be friends or something.” I said sitting down on her desk.
She looked over at Jenny. “Um, well, oh, uh… Thanks? I think… Although I have no idea what you’re forgiving me for… But okay.” She said confused. “And I’m not quite sure I’m ready to forgive you… So right now, I think we’ll just keep living life, and maybe we can start over some other time… Or something.” She smirked.
I rolled my eyes, and then forced another smile. “Well that’s just too bad ain’t it?” I said sliding off her desk.
“Phoebe, get my books and come.” I said walking back to my seat.

[Ashley's Point Of View]
I watched Jaclyn walk away. Just then a girl, Jaclyn had called her Phoebe, came over to get the books. But I stopped her as she went to lift them off my desk.
“Hey! Who are you?” I asked looking up at her.
“Huh? Oh, um, I’m Phoebe Barker. Jaclyn’s sister.” She said smiling softly.
“Oh… Really? Well, it’s nice to meet you…” I said letting go of the books.
“Um, yeah. You too.” She said quietly.
At that moment another came over and grabbed Phoebe by the arm. “Come on Phoebe! Jaclyn said to grab and come!” The girl said pulling her away.

“Well that was weird!” Jenny said leaning over to get closer to Aly and me.
“Yeah, yeah. Truly.” I said staring over at Jaclyn and Phoebe.
“What do you think Jaclyn’s up to? I mean she’s never nice to anybody. Especially someone who showed her up…” Aly said turning back to face me.
“I showed her up? Wow! And I didn’t even mean to… Well, maybe she wants to talk to me and be friends so she can be popular!” I said sarcastically.
“Wait. You’re popular?!” Jenny and Aly said in unison.
I laughed. “Heck if I know! I was just kidding guys. But I do know that she is up to something, but I just don’t know what. So I think we should do something about it.” I said looking at the two of them.
“Well duh! But what are we going to do?!” Aly said.
“I don’t know, hello, were you not listening to me like 2 seconds ago.” I said looking over at Jaclyn.
“Well maybe you could pretend to be her friend so you can find out. You know, like mess with her head or something… I mean that shouldn’t take much effort.” Jenny said laughing a little bit.
“No. I can’t. It’d be too obvious…” I said glancing over at Phoebe. “But; I think I know a way.” I said smiling.
“Ooh! What?! Do tell!” Jenny and Aly both said happily.
“Well, when you don’t get what you want, you go for the next best thing… And in this case, that thing would be –” I had started to say, but got cut off when the teacher yelled.
“PHOEBE BARKER!” Ms. Stark had yelled shooting Jenny, Aly and me a look.
“Here.” She said quietly.

LUNCH

I was standing in line to get food, I saw Phoebe walk up behind me.
“Hey. Phoebe, right?” I said smiling at her. “Nice to see you without your sister.” I joked grabbing a tray.
“Heh. Yeah. I guess…” She said grabbing three trays.
“Why are you getting three? You hungry or something?” I asked getting some food.
“No… Jaclyn is having me get food for her and Sandra. And whatever Jaclyn wants, Jaclyn gets.” Phoebe said hesitantly.
“Oh…” I said softly. “Well hey! Do you think that maybe you could come over today? Like just you, and not your sister or her posse?” I asked quickly.
She looked at me. “You mean like as a friend? Cuz I think that would be nice. I’d just have to ask Jaclyn.” She said grabbing enough food to feed 5 people instead of 3.
“Come on Phoebe; try something on your own. Ask your mom or something. Who cares what Jaclyn says!” I said paying for my stuff and waiting for her.
She laughed a little. “Well apparently you don’t… But it’s harder for me… I live with her…” She said paying for all the food. I grabbed one of the trays for her.
“Well if not, can you at least sit with me and my friends at lunch?” I asked.
She looked at me again. “Uh. Sure… Yeah. You go now, I’ll be over in a bit.” She said walking off to deliver the food.
I walked over to the table where Jenny, Aly and I sat everyday.
“What’s with the extra tray?” Aly asked.
“It’s for a friend.” I said pointing over to Phoebe.
“Ooh! So you guys are already friends?!” Jenny said.
“Well, sorta… Maybe… I don’t know. We were talking in the lunch line, and today she is eating with us. And she may be coming over to my house after school.” I said starting to eat my lunch.
“Trap set, and SNAP!” Aly said doing the "Jonas Snap."
Jenny and her both laughed.
“Hey guys, I’ve been thinking… Maybe we should forget about the whole Jaclyn/Phoebe plan thing.” I said softly.
“What?! I know you did not just say that! Ashley!” Jenny said confused.
“Well, I did just say that. And I mean it… She said something to me, and I think that if we’re going to do something, we should leave Phoebe out of it.” I said playing with my food.
Aly and Jenny just looked at me. Aly was still sorta new to it all, but since she met me, she knew that this wasn’t me.
Then at that moment Phoebe sat down.
“Hey guys.” She said pushing some hair out of her face.
Jenny and Aly ignored her and started eating. I smiled at her.

[Jenny's Point Of View]
“Okay, well Ashley’s out… But I say we still go for it.” I said quietly to Aly during math class. Ashley wasn’t in this class with us, so I figured it would be the safest spot.
“Are you serious? You still want to go at Phoebe?” Aly asked a bit confused.
“Well sure. I mean if Ashley ain’t gonna do it, someone’s gotta.” I said.
Aly bit her lip, but nodded. “I guess I’m in…” she said hesitantly.

AT ASHLEY’S HOUSE

“Well Phoebe, it was great that you could come today!” I said as convincingly as I could.
Ashley looked at me weirdly. Almost like she knew what was going on. But I could tell that she didn’t.
We all filed out of my car, and were walking over to Ashley’s.
We were headed straight to Ashley’s room, when Aly and Phoebe got stopped. Ashley’s mom was wanting to talk to the both of them. This was her first time meeting them, and she always liked to talk to Ashley’s friends. But Ashley and I continued up to her room.
“Okay Jenny. Spill! What’s going on?” she asked angrily closing her door a bit.
“What do you mean?” I said plopping down on her bed.
“Well Phoebe, it was great that you could come today!” she said in a mocking voice.
“Oh come on Ashley! Someone needs to find out what’s up with Jaclyn! And Phoebe is the only way that someone can!” I said.
Just then the door opened a little bit. “Is that why you guys wanted me to come over? So you could use me to get to my sister?!” Phoebe said when she came into view.
Ashley and I both looked at her.
“Cuz if you guys really wanted to know, you could have just asked. You didn’t have to use me.” Phoebe said walking down the stairs and out the door.
Ashley shot me a look.
“I said to forget about the whole stupid thing Jenny! But you just had to do it didn’t you?!” Ashley said storming out of the room.
Aly stood in the doorway looking at me.
“Did we do bad?” Aly asked quietly.
I groaned and flopped backwards.

INTERVIEW
Days went by slowly. I walked to school and back home everyday since the whole Phoebe incident. I tried not to make too much contact with Aly or Jenny.
I walked into my house and dropped my stuff by the door, and then went to the Jonas house next door.
I rang the doorbell and leaned up against the door frame.
The door opened and Joe was standing there. “What? No knock knock today?” He joked letting me in.
I smirked a little bit. “Yeah, not today…” I said slouching on the wall.
“So where’s Jenny and Aly?” Joe asked trying to straighten me up.
I laughed a little. “I don’t know… At their houses I would assume. I haven’t talked to them for a few days.” I said slouching back down.
“Really? Why not?” He asked leaning on the wall and slouching with me.
“Just some stuff happened that I don’t wanna talk about right now… But anyways, you guys aren’t too busy for a good friend are you?” I asked.
“Um… I don’t know. We have an interview soon, but you might be able to come with us.” Joe said falling. He was obviously new to the whole ‘wall slouching’ thing.
I laughed a little as I helped him back up.
Nick and Kevin walked into the room at that moment.
Nick walked over and gave me a hug. We hadn’t seen much of each other for a week.
“So what kind of interview are you guys doing today?” I asked.
“Um… Something for Popstar!.” Kevin said. “Speaking of which, we should probably leave now. You gonna come Ashley?” he asked grabbing the keys to his car.
“Sure. I mean, if you guys don’t mind.” I said.
“Course we don’t!” Nick said opening the door. And then the four of us walked out and got into Kevin’s car.
After a long while, we were at the Popstar! studio. And we all got out. I followed the boys, cuz I had no idea where in the world I was going.
“Hey boys! Welcome back to the studio. We’ve been missing you here!” some girl said. I figured she was the interviewer.
“And who is this?” The lady said pulling me over to her.
“She’s a friend. And more.” Joe said looking over at Nick.
“Ooh… Is she the girl we heard about last time?” she said grinning ear-to-ear.
I was totally lost as to what she meant be that. But I just smiled, and sat over on a couch.
The boys and the lady left the room to start the interview or something.
I had nothing to do, so I grabbed one of the millions of magazines in the room and started to read it.
I skimmed through, and did what I always did with magazines. Once I saw a picture of one of the Jonas boys, I stopped. The page I was on was an interview. So I read it.

Hey all you Popstar! readers out there! Kelly here, and I am sitting here with 3 of the hottest boys out there right now, the Jonas Brothers! So chillax, and get chill as I give you the inside scoop on your favorite brothers. WOO!

Kelly: Hey boys! Welcome back to the studio.
Boys: Oh yeah! It’s awesome to be back!
Kelly: Well, let’s get to business… Are you guys ready for your first question?
Boys: Truly! We so are!
Kelly: Alright. So you guys are on tour with Miley now, what’s that like?
Kevin: Oh, it’s great! Miley’s awesome.
Joe: Yeah, she can get a little crazy sometimes; but it’s all in great fun.
Kelly: Well that’s good. Now you guys just had a CD come out recently, were you guys totally excited?
Joe: Of course! I actually had this awesome dance that I did the day the CD came out. I did it at one of our concerts, so those fans got a little special treat.
Nick: Yeah, the CD coming out was cool. We sold a lot. More than we sold for our first CD for sure.
Kelly: Let’s hope so. Now Joe, that dance, is there a way that your other fans can see the dance?
Joe: Yeah! We actually recorded it, and it’s now on our YouTube, so if anybody wants to see that, they just have to go to our account.
Kelly: Alright! Now Nick, are you dating one of the Michalka girls?
Nick: Nah…
Kelly: Okay… Well what about Miss Montana?
Nick: Nope…
Kelly: Oh, well don’t you think it would be awesome if in 10 years you could say that you are dating one of them?
Nick: I don’t really know… I mean Aly & AJ are both a bit older than me, so that would just be kinda weird… [No offence to you girls if you’re reading this] And then I’ve dated Miley before, but things didn’t go so well… So you know. But in 10 years I think it would be cool if I could say that I’m still dating my current girlfriend.
Kelly: *GASP* Little Nicky Jonas has a girlfriend?! Ooh! Do tell!
Boys: *Laugh*
Kevin: Well she isn’t famous. She’s actually an awesome kid.
Nick: Yeah, she is our next door neighbor. And my girlfriend… *BLUSH*
Joe: Truly, and they totally love each other! It was serious love at first sight moment that day.
Everybody: *LAUGH*
Kelly: Alright. Well thanks for being here with us guys. But that’s about all the time we have. So we’ll see you again next time.
Boys: Awesome. Bye! We love you Popstar!!

I was seriously shocked when I was reading this.
“Holy cheese! Everybody totally knows me! Well, they do but they don’t…” I said to myself.
I got up and ran into the room. They were still doing the interview, but I couldn’t help it.
“You actually told them about me!?” I said pointing to the interview.
“That is - is… It’s totally… KINDA COOL!” I burst out and ran to hug all three of the boys.
I looked at Kelly, and then ran out of the room. A few minutes later they all came out into the room.
“Ashley, we’ve been thinking, and we asked Kelly, and we were wondering if you wanted to do a small photoshoot with us. I mean, since the whole world knows about you. Why don’t we let them know you!” Joe exclaimed.
I jumped up quickly from the couch I was sitting on. “Are you kidding?! That would be totally awesome! I’m so in!” I yelled.
We all walked into a room to take some pics. I felt weird. I was so new to this whole thing.
And it felt really weird when the people wanted to take my individual picture, but I dealt with it.
Today I had probably the most fun since the dance.
“I’m glad you guys brought me here… I had a great time!” I said on our way back to the car.
“Well you do realize that if any of those pics get put into a magazine, your gonna become a bit famous… But not like totally famous… You know what I mean?” Kevin said holding the studio door open for us all.
“Yeah, you’ll be kind of… um… Unfamously famous!” Joe said.
I thought about it for a second, and then let out a small laugh. Then a sigh.
“Could you guys drop me off at Jenny’s house?” I asked when we got into the car.
Kevin nodded, and we were on our way.

APOLOGIES
Kevin and the boys dropped me off over at Jenny’s. Aly was over there too.
We all apologized to each other, and made up. I told them all about the Popstar! studio, the magazine interview, and the photoshoot I had done.
They were totally jealous. But still happy that I was here telling them about it.
“Man Ashley… I just still can’t believe that pictures of you are gonna be in a magazine! You’re totally going to be unfamously famous!” Jenny exclaimed reading something on her computer.
I looked at her funny. “Unfamously famous? Hmm… That’s exactly what Joe said…” I said looking over at the window – I kept hearing a weird thud sound coming from it. Then I went and sat on the bed next to Jenny.
“Cool… I say we go see them soon.” Jenny said staying glued to the computer screen.
“Yeah! I haven’t seen ‘em since the dance!” Aly shouted, standing up.
“Yeah… Real cool…” I said looking back over at the window. I heard another thud.
“Hey; do you guys hear that?” I asked.
Jenny and Aly both looked at me. “No… Hear what?” They said.
“Shh… Listen…” I said holding a finger up to my lips.
We all sat there in silence. There was another thud at the window.
“OMJ! WHAT WAS THAT?!” Aly yelled.
“I don’t know…” I said getting up and slowly walking over to the window.
After a few steps, the window shattered and a soccer ball came flying into the room.
Jenny and Aly screamed their heads off. I let out a small yelp, but picked up the ball once it stopped.
“Hey. Guys! Chillax! It’s just a soccer ball…” I said looking over it.
“A soccer ball from where?!” Jenny asked. She picked up her laptop that was now lying on the floor. She had dropped it when the window shattered.
“It’s the soccer Nike ball from space!” I joked, still looking over the ball. “It looks like it has names of the Jonas Brothers on it!” I laughed.
Aly and Jenny both walked over to me and looked at the ball.
Then the three of us made our way over to the window, carefully so we don’t step on the glass.
We saw Joe out by a tree, almost like he was trying to hide.
“I had nothing to do with it!” He yelled from behind the tree.
“Joe! My mom is going to kill me about this window! Or worse; my dad will!” Jenny said making a circle with her fingers. I assumed she was sort of trying to point out the gaping hole in the window.
“You are so paying for this!” She yelled.
Just then Jenny’s sister, Kathryn, ran into the room.
“What was that noi-” She let out a huge gasp.
“Jenny! What did you do?!” She said jumping into the room.
“Jenny didn’t do it! Joe did!” Aly yelled pointing to him through the window.
Jenny and I both looked at her.
“Joe who?” Kathryn asked.
“Uh, Joe Green! Yeah… Joe Green, my next door neighbor!” I said looking over at Kathryn.
She walked over to where we were standing.
“Is that him?” She asked giving us all a look and pointing to Joe.
Joe jumped back behind the tree.
“What are you talking about Kathryn? I see nobody out there…” I said looking out the window.
She looked out of the window. And then back at us. “I know you guys are hiding something…” She said turning around and headed for the door.
“But, Kathryn! Please don’t tell mom or dad!” Jenny yelled watching her sister.
I don’t quite know what she said, if she said anything. I was starting to pick up the pieces of glass that surrounded me.
Jenny and Aly started to join in and pick up the pieces. We got all the big pieces, and then Jenny grabbed the vacuum to get the little teeny tiny pieces.
After about 20 minutes, we got everything picked up off the floor.
“How am I going to explain this to my parents?” Jenny said looking at the window.
Joe had walked over to the window. “I’ll pay for it… But you are going to have to tell your parents…” Joe said.
I handed him the soccer ball. “What were you doing throwing the ball up against Jenny’s house in the first place Joe?”
“I got bored… And wanted to sorta scare you guys so you would all come out here… But Jenny’s parents left and drove by, so I kinda got scared or nervous myself, and lost aim.” Joe said looking around quickly.
“Why would you do that? No, don’t answer that…” Jenny said gazing at the hole.
“Well what do we do now?” Aly said looking at each of us one by one.
“Let’s go out to eat! I am like starving!” I suggested.
“Starving!? How can you think about food when I have no window?!” Jenny exclaimed.
“Jenny, chillax would ya?” I said looking at her. “Maybe some food will keep you preoccupied or something… Please! I haven’t eaten since school!” I begged.
She groaned. “Fine!” She said.
Aly, Jenny, and I climbed out the window. Me in the lead, and Jenny trailing behind.
Then we all walked over to get Nick and Kevin.

FOOD FANTASIES
So Jenny, Aly, Joe and I got Nick and Kevin, and were on our way to get some food.
“Okay, so is there any place in particular that you all are wanting to go to?” Kevin asked when pulling up to a stop sign.
“Not really… Ask Ashley. It was her idea.” Jenny said looking over at me.
I shrugged. “Anywhere is fine…”
“Alright, well then we’re gonna go here.” Kevin said pulling into a parking lot.
“New Jay’s Fort John? I’ve never heard of it… Are you sure it sells food?” Aly asked looking up at the big sign.
“Well it looks like people are eating… And the sign has a hot dog on it…” Joe said looking at the sign as well.
“Good enough for me! Let’s go!” I said jumping out of the car.
Then everybody else got out, and started walking up to the place.
Jenny, Aly and I jumped way out of the way when we saw a group of girls start stampeding.
The boys signed some autographs; mostly those on napkins, cups, bags, or other random objects that can be found at a fast food joint.
Once all the girls got their autographs, and talked to the boys a little bit, they left, and the six of us started walking up to New Jay’s Fort John again.
I kept hearing these soft giggles and sighs behind us. I turned around, and there were three girls standing there.
The others stopped and turned around too.
“Hi! I’m Kristin! I love your guys’ music!!!” One of the girls shouted.
“Ditto! You guys so rule!” Another one yelled. “I’m Danielle!”
The other one didn’t say anything, but stood there with a hugely huge smile slapped right on her face.
“Hi. Do you guys want autographs or something?” Kevin asked.
All three of them shook their heads. “No. We already got them!” Danielle said flashing us the napkin in her hand.
“Okay… So are you guys like stalkers or something?” Jenny joked.
They laughed and shook their heads again. “Nope… We just saw you three walking with them, and we thought that you guys were sorta following them, so we decided to follow them too.” The girl with no name said.
“Oh. Well these girls are our friends… And more…” Joe coughed looking over at Nick and me.
I stuck my tongue out at him.
“And more?” Danielle said looking at Joe. “So one of them is your next door neighbor?” She said pointing to Aly, Jenny and myself.
Joe nodded. “One of them sure is! She lives just next door!” He said.
“Which one?!” The girl with no name asked.
“The one who stuck out her tongue for sure!” Kristin said pointing to me.
“No… It’s gotta be that one.” No name said pointing to Aly.
“Why does it have to be me?!” Aly said jumping back.
“I don’t know…” she said.
“Can you just tell us?!” Danielle begged.
We each looked at each other. “If we do tell you, you promise not to tell anyone?” Nick said.
“Besides, it’ll most likely be released in Popstar! magazine sometime soon anyways…” Kevin said.
“Don’t care! Won’t tell! Please say!” Kristin exclaimed.
My phone started ringing. So I answered it and walked over somewhere a bit more quiet.
I don’t quite know if they told the girls or not, cuz when I got back to the five of them, the girls were walking off. I shrugged, and then started running into the place and up to the counter.
I was practically dying of starvation at that point.
We all got our food, ate it, then went back home.
The six of us did this Saturday and Sunday as well, we had nothing else better to do.

MONDAY AT SCHOOL

[Jenny's Point Of View]
I sat quietly in chemistry class. Neither Ashley nor Aly were in this class with me.
But I did have to oh-so-school-welcoming Jaclyn and her posse.
Today the teacher partnered us up with people to do some sort of experiment.
I was happy enough not to get partnered up with Jaclyn. But that happiness started to fade when I got partnered up with Phoebe.
She came back and sat with me for the experiment, and neither of us said a word unless needed to for a certain chemical or something.
Then after a while of just sitting there not saying anything, we were the first ones done, I couldn’t help it anymore.
“Phoebe. It wasn’t Ashley’s doing!” I said looking at her.
She looked at me funny. “What are you talking about?” She asked putting down the book she was reading.
“I mean the whole thing about your sister, when you came over that one day…” I said.
“You mean Ashley didn’t have anything to do with it?” She asked.
“Well… Not really. It was sorta her idea at first, but she quickly changed her mind. And it was mostly me who wanted to keep doing the whole thing. So if you want to be mad at someone, be mad at me!” I said.
She looked down at her book. And then up at me. “Why would you tell me that?” she asked quietly.
“Because I can’t stand Ashley being upset with me over it. And I can’t stand you being upset with Ashley over it. So if you could find it in your heart, assuming you have one since you are not Jaclyn, to forgive me, that would be awesome.” I said smiling sweetly.
She laughed a little. “Okay. I forgive you.”
“Yes!” I exclaimed. Everybody in the class stared at me. I quickly looked down, and started laughing a little.

LUNCH

[Phoebe's Point Of View]
I was surprised to see Jaclyn standing in the lunch line. I stood behind her.
“Is it the apocalypse?!” I laughed grabbing a lunch tray.
“Shut up Phoebe. I’m just up here so I can maybe sit with Ashley and her friend people.” Jaclyn said grabbing food. “Cuz you talked to her that one day, next thing I know you’re not coming home.” She said giving me a look.
“Okay… Well I’m gonna sit with them, so I’ll see you whenever.” I said passing my sister and paying for my lunch.
I slowly walked over to the table. But before I made it there I got pulled at by the arm.
Sandra dragged me over to where Jaclyn was sitting. “You been spending to much time with them!” Jaclyn said.
“What do you mean? I haven’t talked to any one of them since the day I went to Ashley’s.” I said pulling away from Sandra.
“Well here’s what you can do for me. Get invited to her house again. And make sure you bring me along.” Jaclyn said pulling me in towards her.
I pulled away from her. “Fine…” I said turning around to go sit with them. But then I stopped and walked back over to Jaclyn.
“Actually… No. You know what. I’m sick of doing what you tell me! I am not going to do that my friends.” I snapped at her.
“Excuse me? I know you did not just say that.” Jaclyn said standing up. She did this when trying to threaten someone when she couldn’t think of words to say.
“Actually, I did just say that. And I meant it as well…” I said looking down at the food in my hands.
“And you know what else I did?” I smirked.
“What’s that?” She asked.
I scooped up some of my chocolate pudding with my hands, and spread it on her shirt.
“That!” I laughed.
She let out a huge gasp. Sandra grabbed a napkin and quickly started rubbing at the pudding to try and get it off.
“Sandra! Knock it off!” Jaclyn yelled. She turned around and grabbed her spaghetti. She went to go throw it at me, but I ducked out of the way, and it hit the person at the next table over. That person then threw something at somebody, and soon everybody was doing it.
“FOOD FIGHT!!!” A lot of kids yelled. And food was flying every which way with great velocity.
I crawled on the food covered ground all the way over to where Ashley, Jenny, and Aly were sitting under a table.
“Guys! I’m coming over today after school!” I shouted throwing a piece of cake that I found on the floor across the room.

[Phoebe's Point Of View]
Pretty much everybody participating in the food fight got called down to the office to get a stern lecture from the principal.
I probably had the worst one for starting the whole thing, but it was worth every minute of detention I received to see Jaclyn’s face as soon as that pudding got put on her.
It was now the end of the day, and I walked into detention. I sat down next to Ashley.
“Hey detention buddy…” I said laughing a little.
Ashley laughed and said hi. “So what are you in for?” She asked.
“For starting the best food fight in the world!” I bragged.
Aly and Jenny were sitting in front of us. They both leaned back in there chairs and faced us.
“No way! You started that!?” Aly exclaimed.
I nodded. “Yeah. So what are you three in for? I mean obviously it isn’t about the fight, cuz you three hid under the table the whole time.” I said picking up Ashley’s arm. Her sleeve was still really white, with a small food smudge here or there.
“Haha…” Ashley said mockingly. But then laughed. “Well I got sent down here for getting in a fight of my own.” She said holding up her bright red knuckles.
“A fight with who?” I asked.
“Um… I don’t know. Some person from my science class… He was just being really stupid and started getting on my nerves so I socked him.” She laughed.
“Interesting… So what about you two?” I said pointing to Jenny and Aly.
“I got sent here cuz Ms. Stark is a genius and has some weird ‘Zeros Are Not Permitted’ program thing or something… I had one missing assignment, and she gave me detention.” Aly said.
“I’m just here cuz I really have nothing better to do. I can’t go home if you all are in detention.” Jenny laughed.
We all joined her in the laughter, and then went to do our detention duties.

TO JENNY’S HOUSE

[Ashley's Point Of View]
“Well thanks for letting me come over today. After what happened at lunch, I really don’t think I could live if I went home.” Phoebe said fixing her seat belt.
“Oh yeah… We could never let that happen. Especially not now, since what you started at lunch.” Jenny laughed.
I stared out the back window of the car. “Guys, have you noticed that car?” I asked pointing to a dark navy blue Saturn behind us.
“Not quite so much… Why? What’s wrong with it?” Aly said turning around.
“It’s been following us. Like since we left the school. And I’ve never seen it behind us before.” I said looking at them.
Phoebe unbuckled her seatbelt and moved to the very back with Aly and me.
“Oh no… Please don’t tell me that’s Taylor’s car!” Phoebe groaned.
“Taylor? You don’t mean Taylor Schmidt do you?” Aly asked.
“That’s exactly who I mean. Sandra’s older sister. Jaclyn must have hitched a ride!” Phoebe groaned.
“What?! She is stalking us!? That’s insane!” Jenny exclaimed.
We turned into Jenny’s driveway, and the car continued on its way.
“Are you sure that was them? The car is still going…” I asked Phoebe when I got out of the car.
“Well they won’t stop here! That would be too weird… But I’m positive that was them!” Phoebe said pointing to the now vanishing car.
“Truly…” I said quietly. But then shook the whole car thing off.
“Anyways; should we do the surprise now, or wait for it?” I asked looking at Phoebe.
Jenny and Aly smiled. Phoebe just stared at us and looked really confused.
“Well I say we do it now! I need to see, you-know-who.” Jenny said.
I laughed a little and grabbed Phoebe by the arm. Then the four of us started walking over to the Jonas house of course.

[Nick's Point Of View]
I sat in the living room watching TV. We were on the channel I was watching right now. Then I heard the doorbell. Normally I would have told someone else to get it, because I didn’t feel like getting up; but I heard someone yell “knock knock” which clearly meant Ashley was over. I got up and practically ran to the door.
“Hey guys!” I exclaimed as I the door open.
“Hey Nick.” Ashley said giving me a hug. “This is a new friend of ours, Phoebe Barker.”
“Hello.” I said extending my hand. She shook it, and then they all came into the house.
“What about her? Is she with you guys?” I asked pointing to a girl standing over by a street sign staring up at the house.
They all looked. “I told you it was her!” Phoebe exclaimed.
“What do we do? I mean we can’t just leave her out there, but I don’t wanna have her come in here…” Ashley said.
I just watched the four of them talk. It was sorta fascinating, but all so confusing at the same time.
“Well she is my sister… And even though she has been extremely horrible since the beginning, we really can’t leave her out there.” Phoebe said.
“So am I going to shut the door now or what?” I asked looking at everybody.
Jenny let out a huge groan. “Let her in.” She mumbled.
So I yelled out the door for the girl to come in. She was up to the door and in the house in a matter of seconds.
“Thanks! Hey! You’re Nick Jonas! I just love your music!” the girl said as soon as she walked in. “I’m Jaclyn!”
“Yeah… We met at the dance.” I said looking over at the other four. They seemed quite uncomfortable with Jaclyn being here; especially Ashley and Phoebe.

[Jaclyn's Point Of View]
I smiled sweetly at Nick. And then when I turned my attention over to the other girls, I rolled my eyes, and let out a small groan.
“Well it looks like you weren’t lying small- er- Ashley…” I said faking a smile.
She let out a small, fake laugh.
Joe walked into the room. “Hey dude and dudettes!” He exclaimed as he entered.
He started counting the girls and me. “Wow, we went from triplets one day, to quintuplets!” He laughed. “That is the right word right? Quintuplets? Oh well…” He said putting his arm around Jenny. She got a huge smile on her face, and I just glared at her.
But then focused my attention on Nick.
Next thing I knew, everybody left the place we were standing, and going every way possible.
Nick went upstairs; Ashley and Phoebe to the kitchen; Aly, Jenny and Joe to the living room. I didn’t know what else to do, so I went upstairs. Nick was up there, so as far as I was concerned it was the best place to be.
I walked into the room he was in and sat down next to him.
“Hi!” I yelled plopping on the bed.
He looked at my hesitantly. “Hi…” He said softly.
I looked around the room. I heard footsteps approaching. Then a voice. It was Ashley.
I let out a small chuckle. When the footsteps grew louder, I turned to Nick.
“Oh Nick! You are so funny! And Oh so sweet!!!” I said giving him a huge hug.
I had perfect view of the door, and as soon as I saw Ashley, I stopped hugging Nick.
Instead I pulled him into a huge kiss right on the smacker!

LEAVING
I had gone upstairs to get Nick. We were all wanting him downstairs. Jaclyn would probably come to, but we could all live without her.
But the first thing I saw when going into Nick’s room, was something that I would never want to see in a million billion years. Now normally if I had seen Nick and some girl kissing, I would yell and then storm off and get everybody mad. But not this time, not when that girl is Jaclyn.
I opened the door and started rampaging up to the bed. Nick jumped up extremely fast.
“Ashley! I had nothing to do with that! You gotta believe me!” He pleaded.
I nodded. “Don’t worry Nick. I believe you…” I said glaring at Jaclyn.
“But Jaclyn; what is your problem?! Did I do something to upset you? Are you jealous of me? Or are you just truly this cruel to people?” I exclaimed.
She looked almost offended. “Ugh! None of those are true!” She wailed.
I gave her a look that strongly said ‘Oh Pa-lease!’
And she saw this. She softened her look a bit. “Okay, so maybe the last two are somewhat true…” She mumbled.
“You know, I thought that inviting you in might give you a new attitude. We could have easily left you out there! But when we invited your sister over, she changed! So I thought that maybe you might too… But I guess I was wrong.” I mumbled.
I grabbed Nick by the arm and turned him towards the door. Then the both of us left and went downstairs.
Nick had stopped over to where Joe and Jenny were talking, or flirting, or something. But I went over and sat next to Kevin on the couch.

[Aly's Point Of View]
Nick was talking to Jenny and Joe, but I heard every word he said. And I was not liking it.
“OMJ! SHE ACTUALLY DID THAT!?” I exclaimed. “Excuse me…” I said stampeding upstairs and to Nick’s room.
The door was closed, but not for long. I threw the door open.
“Jaclyn! What is your problem?! Did Ashley do something to you? Are you jealous of her? Or do you just get enjoyment out of other peoples pain?!” I yelled.
“Why do people say stuff like that all the time to me?” She complained.
“Maybe because it’s true! Jaclyn you’ve been like this to people for years! What happened to the old you?!” I yelled.
She started talking. But I just ignored her, and started to leave.
“Hey! You will listen to me when I talk to you small fry!” She exclaimed.
I rolled my eyes and turned to face her. “No. You know what big fry; I’m done listening to you… I’m gone.” I said throwing my hands up in the air and leaving the room.

[Jaclyn's Point Of View]
I was left in the room alone for the second time. I thought about what the two small fries had said. I plopped down on the bed, and let out a deep sigh. Then Phoebe walked in.
“Is everybody going to have a talk with me?!” I exclaimed and flopped backward on the bed.
“Well everybody should Jaclyn. After what you did here.” Phoebe said quietly.
I sat up and looked at her. “Do you think I’ve changed?” I asked curiously.
“Since when? Today? No… But from when we were younger; then definitely.” She said walking over and sitting on the bed.
She kept her distance though.
“Oh… Well I think I’m going to go home… Um… Tell them that I’m sorry or something like that.” I said and got up.
Phoebe looked at me funny. “Please…” I said quietly.
She seemed confused, but said she would. Then the two of us walked down the stairs. Everybody glared at me when I walked down, I thought nothing of it, and left.

[Ashley's Point Of View]
“What was that all about?” Jenny asked pointing to the door that Jaclyn just walked out of.
“Um… I’m actually quite confused myself… But she said that she’s, uh, sorry…” Phoebe said slowly.
Jenny, Aly and I were all dumbfounded. The boys didn’t really know much, but Nick had a slight look of confusion on his face. After all, he was the one to get kissed.
“Oh… Um, well, I don’t really know why… But all this just reminded me. We gotta tell you guys something…” Nick said quietly.
We all looked at him and his brothers.
“Well you guys know Disney Channel and all… Of course you do… But anyways, they want us to come shoot a pilot for a show that we might star in.” Nick said smiling softly.
“A show on Disney?! That’s awesome! But it’s just one episode… how long are you guys planning on being gone?” I said.
“Well after we film the episode… We are kinda going on tour for a month, and then we’ll be filming a Disney Channel movie for about a month and then go back and finish our tour.” Nick said fumbling with the doily that sat on the table next to him.
I looked back at Jenny, Phoebe and Aly. And then back at the brothers.
“Oh… Well that’s a long time..." I started. Joe took a step back. He acted as if I was some sort of monster and would snap soon.
"But... I guess I'll have to live with it... It's what I get for going out with a celebrity." I laughed.
We all laughed, and I could hear Jenny and Joe both let out small cheers. I figured it was because I didn't flip out for the first time when finding out some not so good things.
"Well hey, don't forget, when that Popstar! issue comes out, you'll be famous too! In a way..." Joe exclaimed.
"Yeah, truly! It will be totally awesome! But you gotta promise us two things when that issue comes out!" Jenny exclaimed.
"And what is that?" I asked precautiously.
"Well... One is that you can't let the whole thing go to your head... It's fat enough." Aly laughed.
"Yeah, that, and, you've got to sign it for us!" Phoebe shouted.
We all laughed, and sat down to watch TV.
I thought about the whole Jonas leaving for a long while...

Okay, So Yeah... There Is The Chapter... Bogus In My Opinion...

OPEN UP TO ME
So the seven of us sat in the living room watching TV. I wasn’t quite sure what was on; I was too busy thinking about… things; and every time I payed the slightest bit attention, there was a commercial.
I got up and made my way through the tight space to get to the bathroom.
When I got to the bathroom, I started pacing. Thoughts racing through my head.
“Ugh! Why?! How?! Ugh!” I groaned.
I paced even faster. I stop to stare at myself in the mirror.
There was a knock at the door. “Mufasa! You alright in there?!” I heard Jenny yell from the outside.
I jumped a little. “Me? Oh, Uh… yeah!” I said. I turned on the faucet to act as a, diversion, if you will.
I quickly splashed some water on my face, turned off the sink, and opened the door.
Jenny was still standing there. “Hiya!” I said quickly walking past her.
She grabbed me by the arm. “What’s up Mufasa?” she asked me.
I didn’t look back at her. I just stayed focus on the flower vase in front of me.
“What are you talking about? I’m fine.” I said.
She seemed all serious. “You forgot to flush… You didn’t use the bathroom; now tell me what is up!” she demanded.
I groaned. “Nothing, I swear… It’s just… I-I don’t know.” I said finally turning back to face her.
She gave me a look. A look that I’ve had many times from her at our old house. But I ignored it this time, and walked back out to the living room.
I sat back down where I was before, and went back to what I was doing in the first place.

[Jenny's Point Of View]
I watched Ashley go and sit back down. I just stood over by the bathroom. I groaned and walked to the kitchen.
I opened the fridge furiously; all the food in the door almost fell, as did the pictures and such on the outside.
I angrily grabbed out a bottle of soda. But it was one of those 80s style glass bottles that take like 5 hours to open.
I groaned loudly as I tried to open the bottle.
Joe walked into the room and looked at me weird. “You okay?” he asked grabbing the bottle and opening it.
“Thanks. I guess I was just a bit, um, upset…” I said taking a drink of the soda.
“Upset about what?” he asked.
I just stared at his beautiful face for a few minutes. “Nothing… It’s nothing… Just forget I even said anything…” I said slowly walking past him.
“If you say so…” He said walking past me and towards the living room.
“Joe! Wait!” I called out to him jumping up on the counter to sit.
He turned around. “Yesss?” He said in another one of those demented voices and stretching out his words as he spoke.
“It’s Ashley… I think there is something wrong, but she won’t tell me…” I said softly playing with the bottle in my hands.
Joe walked over to where I was.
“Ashley? What could she possibly be upset about?” He asked.
I looked at him. “You’re kidding right? Jaclyn only kissed Ashley’s boyfriend, you guys only told us that you were leaving for a show, a tour, a movie, and then more tour! How could she not be upset?!” I said jumping off the counter.
“If you know that, then why does she need to tell you? And I thought she was cool about us leaving...” He asked.
“ I-I don’t know… I just wish she’d open up to me like she used to back home. But she holds stuff in sometimes... Especially since we moved here.” I said looking at my feet.
“Oh... Well, uh... Wow.” He said. He started walking towards me slowly.When he reached the place I was standing, he gave me a hug. Not like the one he gave me the day that he said he likes me, but a soft one. It felt a bit weird, but I went with the flow and hugged him back.

Okay... Well That's Pretty Much All I Could Think Of.
Not Much You Can Do In A Corner :P So The Next Chapter Should Go Well
Since I Can Start Off On A New Note.

THE FAME vs. THE PAIN
It was almost time for the boys to depart on there million month journey… And I was not ready for it.
I mean sure I knew the boys did what they had to do, and I was fine with that. But they always sprung it on us at the last minute. And something about that just irritated me.
It was Friday, and I had nothing to do. I was sick today, so I didn’t go to school.
I lied in my bed deleting random texts from my SideKick.
But I soon finished that. I walked over to my computer, and got on.
I got all really happy when I saw Jamie on.

[Ashley Jamie]

JAMIE! OMJ!
ASHLEY!
HOW ARE YOU?!
I’M OKAY! AND YOU!?
SICK… BUT FINE OTHERWISE!
WHY ARE WE TALKING CAPS?
lol idk… cuz its fun… sorta
lol right… anyways.. I saw that the boys mentioned you in a interview
haha yeah… kinda embarrassing…
sure it is… the fame must be dreadful!
No, not the fame… but the pain…
Pain?
Um… nevermind… I should go… sick, member?

I quickly logged off after that before she tried to ask anything else.
I got up and just started pacing the house. It was dead silent. Nobody was home.
I couldn’t even find the dog! But I shook it all off, and jumped, when I heard my SideKick start singing.
I walked into my room, grabbed the SideKick, and started pacing with it with me.
I had gotten a text from the Jonas Boys. Surprise, surprise.
“Hey Girlies. It’s the boys! Come over 5:30 ish please if you could… Party time! Woo! Heart JB,” I read the text aloud.
I read the text over and over again. “I sure picked a good day to get sick!” I said to myself reading the text another time. But I didn’t quite know if I was being sarcastic when I said it or not…
Anyways, I got bored so I texted the boys back.

[Ashley Boys]

Hey guys! whats up?
ASHLEY?! You answered?
yes… why wouldn’t I?
Aren’t you at skool?
Not me… I’m sick… staying home is normally the price you pay
Oh… well bye!

I stared at the text. “Bye?! What?!” I said in disbelief.
“Are they mad at me? Did I do something?! This certainly don’t help the pain!” I yelled to myself getting up.
I threw my SideKick on my bed and went downstairs to get some meds.
At the moment I stepped foot on the bottom step, the doorbell rang.
It gave me a fright, but I answered the door.
And standing in front of me was all three of the Jonas Brothers.
“Hey Mufasa!” Joe exclaimed as he literally jumped into my house.
Nick and Kevin walked in quietly and waved. I waved back to them. I was somewhat confused, embarrassed and annoyed all at the same time.
Confused as to why they hadn’t told me they were coming over here, and why they were over here; embarrassed as I stood there with my hair in a sloppy 2Sec bun, as I so called it, and in my pajamas; and annoyed because I still was a teensy weensy bit upset about them leaving.
“Uh… Hi guys…” I said staring at my attire.
They all let out a small laugh.
“Nice outfit.” Joe joked.
I stuck my tongue out at him and ran upstairs. I quickly threw on some clothes lying around, and walked back downstairs. The boys followed me as I went to go finally get those meds.
I took all the needed meds out of the medicine cabinet and took them. I looked at a clock, it was 1:14. I was confused why the girls weren’t home yet. Today was a half day at school, but I waited patiently.
I went over to the living and sat down, the boys following me still.
In a matter of minutes, the doorbell rang. So I answered it again.
Jenny and Aly stood in the doorway.
“Hey guys.” I said letting them in.
“Hey Ashley. Did you get a text from the boys earlier? Something about a party?” Aly said as she walked in.
“Yeah, I got a text. You guys gonna go?” I asked shutting the door.
“I don’t know… Are you going?” Aly said throwing her backpack by the door.
“I’m not quite sure… I might. If my mom’ll lemme outta the house.” I said.
“Oh… Well I personally think it would be kinda awkward there without you. After all that has happened when your not there.” Jenny said quietly handing me work from school. “Plus I’m starting to feel, uh… weird… around Joe. Since a few days ago.” Jenny bit her lip.
“Weird how?” I asked looking over at Joe. The girls seemed to have not noticed the boys when they walked in.
“Like… Gee… I don’t know how to explain it. I just almost think that he likes me sometimes or something you know? But I doubt he does…” She said softly.
Just then Joe jumped up and ran over to where we were.
He picked up Jenny in his arms, I couldn’t tell if it was a big bear hug from behind, or if Joe was just completely crazy.
“Um… I wouldn’t be so sure Jenny.” Aly laughed watching this happen.

[Nick's Point Of View]
I sat on the couch watching everything that was going on. I think Joe just asked out Jenny, and she of course said yes. I stared at Ashley. I walked out to the kitchen to get a glass of milk. “Ashley, where are the glasses?” I yelled looking through a cupboard or two.
“Pft! We don’t got glasses here!” She yelled. I looked over at her funny. “Kidding. Cupboard above the toaster thing…” she said. I walked over to the cupboard, and got the glass down to get my drink.
After I did that, I sat at her counter and just stared at my cup. A little bit later, Ashley came out there.
“Hey Nick…” She said softly looking down at her feet.
“Hi Ashley.” I said focusing my attention to the cup still.
“Why do you always hang away from the people?” She asked me.
I looked at her. “What do you mean?”
“Well at your house you’re always upstairs in your room. And now, over here, you’re spending your time in my kitchen. Is something wrong?” She said walking over to the counter.
I shook my head. “No, what about you?” I asked.
She thought for a moment, and then shook her head slowly, looking down at her feet.
“Whatever…” I mumbled under my breath looking back at the glass. I don’t know if she heard me or not; we both just sat there soaking up the silence. After a while, I went back out to the living room. But Ashley stayed in the kitchen.

[Jenny's Point Of View]
I saw Nick walk out to the living room. He looked kinda upset in a way, so I decided to go to the kitchen. Ashley was in there.
“Hey Ashley!” I said walking over to her.
She just stared into space.
“Yo Mufasa! You there?!” I said snapping my fingers rapidly in her face.
She shook her head. “What? Yeah…” She said walking over to the fridge.
“Are you okay?” I asked her with sincerity.
Ashley nodded. “Yes. I’m fine! Why does everybody think there is something wrong with me?!” She said distraught.
“Well maybe because nobody knows! You don’t anybody anything! Not even me…” I said walking over to her. “Ashley, you need to open up! Please tell me what is up!” I begged.
She rolled her head and faced the opposite way, then turned it back to look at me.
“I-I just don’t want to have to deal with it all…” She said quietly.
“Deal with what?!” I said, almost yelling, but quiet enough for just the two of us to hear it.
“The whole celeb boyfriend thing. He’s gone too much. I never get to see him an-” she had started to say.
“Are you wanting to break up with him?!” I asked loudly. Luckily for the both of us, nobody heard.
“I don’t know… Maybe? I don’t think so… But I might. It’s just that they leave so much. And Most of the time we don’t find out until a few days before they leave. Plus the whole Jaclyn thing still gets to me.” She said quietly.
I looked at her like I had just been struck by lightning. “Are you serious?!” I said in disbelief.
She nodded slowly. “I guess… I-I don’t know… But can I be alone please?” She said looking up at me.
“Well is that all that’s wrong? Is there anything else you wanna tell me?”
“I’m fine… Nothing else… But thanks for listening.” She said.
“Okay. But about what you said, look at it this way; you can stop the fame, but not the pain.” I said and slowly walking out of the kitchen back out to the living room.
Pretty soon, Ashley was walking back out to the room. She had a smile on her face. It was the first real smile I had seen on her in a while. She sat down and gave Nick a small kiss on the cheek, and then looked at me.
“Thanks Jenny.” She said softly.
