Haley- YES
Nick leans in and kisses her for 10 seconds
Haley- I have liked u for a long time
Nick-and i have liked u since i saw u, which would be 20 minutes ago
Then Joe and Kevin come in cheering. They had been spying.

Nick POV
I was totally embaressed that joe and kev came in, but i was so happy to going out with haley
Haley- so should we get back
Joe- uh yah mom will be mad
Haley-and so will my dad and stepmom
So then haley and i held hands as we walked back to there table. Whn we got back to our table haley talked to me about the coolest stuff. like that she plays volleyball and that she likes to run and work out. Our parents bonded too. they all decided that al our activities we did would be together.

Haley-hey guys anyone wanna come to the gym with me tomorrow??
Bros- yeah what time?
Haley-6
Bros- whoa!
Haley- well, i train for 90 min,then i swim then i eat breakfast than we will hang out or go play ping pong or somethin
Nick- i will go, sounds fun
Kevin and Joe- we'll try
Haley- great so tomorrow, we will meet at the track go on a warm up jog in the cool air, then go do weights, the bike, then more weights, and lots of sit ups and push ups and then well yoga then swim and then we ceat or order room service or something
Boys: WHOA!! sounds really intense
Haley- you can do it!! oh well i am going to change into something more comtable, anyone wanna go dance in the night club or something? ooo there are free cocktail in the teen club we could meet some people!!!!!
Nick- kay we will meet u at ur room 45 min.

So haley went and changed into skinny true religon jeans, ugg boots, and a cute hollister top.
Ding-dong
Nick- hey we are here
Haley- be there n a sec
Haley walks door and kisses nick.

Haley- so do u!! Wanna go?
J and Kev- yah
Haley hadnt even seen them behind nick

they walked around the ship a bit hen went to the teen room

They hang outside playin ping pong then haley starts to shiver

haley- no u must be freezing
Nick- i am from jersey,this is normal, u r from the beach in california

Haley and all the boys reach for their phones
Haley- one of us has to change their tone

Haley- hi mom, we are on the cruise, yah it is fun. what? is she ok? omg!!! where did it happen? should i come back? o love u 2 bye!

Haley starts to cry.
Haley- i will be back
Nick-thinking- i will go
Nick-i will come with you
Haley- thxs, u dont have to -starting to cry
Nick- what happened?
haley- my best friend accidently drank some poinson. My mom said that she was cleaning the car and hsister Emily and her started to spray tcleaning product stuff at eachher. Sammi inhaled way to much and she isnt doing very good. they dont think she will make it
Nick just starts to hold haley
She is still crying

he just holds her
Haley- i don't want to go dancing i want to go watch a movie in my room you can go though. i am fine

he leaves and haley just starts to bawl like crazy. he comin and sees she is sad, he doesnt know what to do.. neither does she.
Haley- u know i want to wallow, i need to release angryness, i am going to go jog a couple miles then i will go watch a movie.
Nick- i will run
Haley-dont have to, i run really fast, u could wait
Nick- no, i am comin, besides, i need too (he pats tummy)
Haley-i'll change
Haley wears her hair and a pair of spandex shorts and a v-ball shirt
Haley and nick walk in silence holding hands to the track
haley-Okay let me set my timer, ready? go!
Haley- starts sprinting
Haley could tell nick was having a really hard time and knew she should slow down but couldn't she was to sad and had to run away from the fear of losing her best friend
nick understood, but he knew she needed comfort and coudn't slow down
finally they stoped,
Haley- whoa!!! 6 miles in only 30 min!! Good job! as she started to cry nick knew what to do. they would go to her room and cuddle and order tons of chocalate chip cookies ad milk...........................................tha ts always helps

So nick told Haley about his idea. She loved it. Then she got another call.

Hello mom? What??? oh, oh oh, i cant talk right now mom i will call u in the mornin or later. gosh this is horrible!

Haley started to cry harder than she ever cryed before.
Nick- what happened? is your friend ok?
Haley- crys, she didnt make it she, she she she she
Nick really had no clue what to do. he kissed her cheek and held her. she had already fallen to the ground and just sat there
Haley- sammi was the best person ever, i i i i i i, i think i should go back for her funeral. it is a week away so i woudnt have to leave right away.
Nick sat there looking really sad, still holding her.
Nick- what can i do?
Haley- o nick i have known u what like 5 hours and u have already become one of my best friends (nick knew this was a lot to say, seeing how sad she was about her best friend) i dont know how i could do this without u
Just then everyone else walked by the track and kevin and kelly were holdin hands.
Joe- whats wrong??
Just then haley got up and ran away to her room
Nick- look what u made her do
Kevin- dude what happened?
Nick- her best friend died
Kelly, Kevin, and Joe- What?
Nick- yah and she is really sad
Joe- can i do something for her?
Nick- i really dont know, cause to tell u the truth, i dont know what to do, i mean i can be sensitive and all but i just dont know what to say
Kevin- u should go check on her, she needs u
Nick- maybe i should play her a song
Joe- yah, but i would wait and do it tomorrow, she is really sad
Nick- i need to go see her
Kelly- nick can u tell her i said i am sorry and my dad just died and if she needs support i will be there for her
Nick- yah of course
Joe- same with me
Kevin- and me 2

Nick goes to find haley. he finds her sitting in a corner. crying. he had to do something.
Nick- hey haley why dont we go to my room or your room and watch a movie
Haley- kay, i want to watch bridge to teribethia
Nick was a little curious why, but he just nodded.
They went to her room. and layed down on her bed and watched the movie. she cryed a lot. but he knew she was sad and that made him sad. They called the kitchen and had them deliver a ton of cookies and milk. when they were finished watching the movie haley said she was tired and wanted to go to bed.
Nick- Haley, joe, kevin, and kelly would love to talk to you if u r feeling up to it tomorrow
haley- kay and dont frget 6:00 meet me on the track instead of here i may get up earlier and explore, and maybe even run
nick- okay, good night, love you
haley- love you 2 and thank you so much for being there for me

Nicks Room

Joe- so dude what happened with haley
Nick- well her best friend accidently drank some poison and couldnt make it. Haley was heart-broken. she wants everythin to be pretty normal. so dont bring it up if she doesnt first. and meet her at 6. o and kev what happened with kelly?
kev-o well she and i are kinda goin out. now.
nick- cool, well i am tired so i am goin to bed nite!

Track
Haley had not slept at all that night. she knew she had to go home but didnt know how to tell nick or her parents. she had gotton up at 5 and walked the track as a warmup just waiting for the boys. when they finally got there she was ready to tell nick.
Haley- hi guys, ready to run?
Nick- yah, ready?
haley- yah i am
they all looked tired
nick- ready?
Haley- well lets go
haley started runnin faster thn she had run the night before and nick ran next to her when they stopped they were waiting for joe and kev who were way behind sso haley and nick sat down to talk.
Nick- haley r u ok?
haley- i am whatever right now. but i have to ay something. i have to leave in 5 days unless something else happens. i cant miss the funeral.
nick sat there listening absorbing everything haley said.
nick- can i ask u something?

Nick- (givng Joe a mean look, obviously mad about the interuption) uh,yeah dudes

As they walked Haley and Nick held hands, and Joe put his hands on Haley's shoulders, giving a big brother feel

Nick POV

When we got to the gym haley did about a million push ups and about a million sit-ups. Then she did weights, she could do a lot even more than me. I really wanted to ask her about us again. I knew though that she would talk to me when the time is right. Then she went over and talked to Joe while ding the bike.

Haley POV

Joe- Hi Haley whats up? u know u are a very good athlete for someone so tiny. (refering to my 5 foot height and no body fat.)
Haley- thxs, u are pretty good at the bike. but that is not why i am here
Joe- I know what happened, Nick told me. He really loves you, you know. o and i am sorry about your friend
(Haley starts to cry)
Haley- I dont know what to do. If I stay here I with love being with you guys but i will hate myself for missing the funeral. But if I go I will be at the funeral and miss u guys to death (still cring but harder, nick looked over to make sure haley was okay, but he saw she was in good hands)
Joe- Haley, I know it will work out in the end. I dont think Jesus would put a chikadee like yourself through so much pain.
HAley- thank you, (gets off bike to do yoga)
(Nick follows HAley over)
Nick- so will your whole family leave?
Haley- no just me. but someone will pick me up at lax when i get there. but i havent even told dad anything about sammi yet, i dont know when to tell him
Nick- well, what if some guy were holding you on the way home
Haley- o my jonas
Nick- huh?
Haley- o ill tell u later
Hey- i would not let some random guy hold me! (laughing for the first time)
Nick- i missed ur laugh, but what if that guy were me?
Haley-(very serious again) No! No! you cant leave early,I have already ruined part of your cruise
Nick- well the whole thing would be ruined if you left without me
Haley- we would see each other still, you have loads of LA concerts, i could go to all of them. Also, we could go to disneyland together.
Nick- we could still do all of that, but i wont let you leave here without me
Haley- if you really dont mind, i guess i would love the company. and we could talk to our parents at the same time, besides i dont think we could spilt them apart
Nick- sounds good to me
Haley- i wsh i could just be happy and have fun now, ill try (Nick kisses eand goes to talk to his bros so she could do her yoga.)
A girl then walk who looks about haleys age
Haley- Hi i am haley
Girl- I am Sarah
Haley- nice to meet you,wanna join me?
Sarah- sure, who was that boy who kissed you, was he Nick Jonas? (Then Haley started to cry cause s figured out that Jesus hadnt done so much bad to her, he had given her Nick)
Haley- uh, yeah he is

Haley- uh sorry sista, he is mine!
Sarah- oh yeah, why r u crying?

HAley- actually i have to go (sensing a convo she did not want to have with some girl she had just met)

Haley wore a cute, but very simple blue o'neill bathing suit. The boys were really tired and not used to s so haley decided to give them a break and not do the laps she wanted to do.They all relaxed in the spa.

Haley- so what do you guys want to do today?
Nick- i am hungry
Haley-- o all right, lets go change and i want waffles so lets go!!!
They all raced back to the room.

Breakfast Buffet

The boys were amazed at how much Haley could eat. She ate a ton of fruand like 4 waffles.

Haley- u want to go play ping pong?
Joe and Nick- sure
Kevin- uh dudes and chikadee i am gonna go find Kelly
HAley- u know we should prably go see our parents first

HAley- uh this stupid guys was in love with last year, and he thinks that a funeral is just a to up his popularity, an asks me to be his date. how rude! it is like he doesnt carabout sam at all. like sam wa not even his friend or my best friend. o and when i said no he said i am a pathetic loser! that is the only reason i said u were coming nick.

So they explained eeverything to there parents and the parents decided to let them go. they had 5 more days till they left

Ping Pong
So nick and joe were playing ping pong while haley sat next to the table, just watching. Haley was wearing nicks jacket it looked like this

So haley walked around a lot just thinking about everything. Since it was October she had to go to school right when she got back or she would be in trouble with school. She didn't know how to tell nick and wondered if he would want to stay home all by himself while she was at school. When she had finished walking around so she walked to her room and grabbed her guitar. She played a lot of songs. Here are all the ones she sang:

A Couple hours later

Nick and Haley had been walking around the ship talking about just about anything they could think of. He kissed her a couple times when she got sad, but Haley was getting happier.

Nick- So, tell me about your school. What kind of grades do you get? If you are a dummy I will have to break up with you.
Haley starts to laugh really hard.
Haley- Well, I have straight A’s. Okay so, want me to tell you what I do everyday?
Nick- yah sure
Haley- ok, I get up at 5 every morning, and then I get ready. We have to wear a uniform, but it isn’t butt-ugly. I eat breakfast. Then I get my laptop, sports bag, lunch, and then I primp one more time.
Nick- 5 in the morning???
Haley- well actually, I get up earlier, I lied, I get up at 4:30 and exercise.
Nick- I am going to sleep early
Haley laughs
Haley- then my neighbor Kristopher gives me a ride to school. He is 2 years older then me, but our school is middle school and high school combined so it works. He also gives me private volleyball lessons everyday after practice.
Nick- okay, go on
Haley- Then, I go to school. I usually hang with my friends before the warning bell rings. Then I go to my classes. I am in honors classes. I go to language, then history, and then we have a break. I usually hang with my friends and get my books and eat a snack. After that I go to PE, we usually run or do some kind of sport. Then I go to science, and after that I have lunch. I then go to math and then yearbook.
Nick- and then you go home
Haley- not quite, I have volleyball for 2 hours after school. Then Kristopher will pick me up at 4:45. I go to a sports training facility, we train for 30 min. Then he takes me home, I eat and do h-wrk. Then I get everything ready for the next day.
Nick- you are a busy girl.
Haley- o and my mom requested we have all of our classes together.
Nick- good cause I don’t know anyone!
Haley- my friends are all obsessed with you
Nick cracks up
Nick- I can take him
Haley- and some of my ex-boyfriends may give you some mean looks, but don’t worry. They always do that to any guy I go out with.
Nick- how many ex’s do u have?
Haley- 2 many to count

Nick and Haley keep walking in silence

Haley- Nick, I don’t want to be treated special cause of Sam
Nick- okay
Haley- I want everything normal and I want to be happy.
Nick- if that is what you want
Haley- yes, just I want to be happy

Chap

The Brothers and Haley were all sitting down at the dinner table. They were skimming their menus. The waiter came by and took their orders, when he left they started to chat.

Kevin- So, what do you guys want to do tonight when we are done with dinner?
Haley- Change these clothes, and have some fun. I want to get to know all of you guys better and I want to hang out with Kelly. Ooooooh yah, I want to see if I can find that Sarah girl.
Joe- that sounds good to me
Nick- I think that we should go to the night club and go dancing. They are having a teen hour tonight, so that should be fun.
Haley- we should see if the teen club has anything fun going on.
Joe- I think we could do all of that.
Haley- What is up for tomorrow?
Nick- We are going to go shopping and they are all going to go kayaking.
Haley- What time are you going to get up?
Nick- I don’t know, what time are you going to get up?
Haley- I will get up at 5, and then I will go exercise for an hour. I will come back and change. I will go to breakfast, and then we can leave. We could go to the touristy places first, because the mall doesn’t open until later that day.
Nick- Okay sounds great
Haley- did you tell them about the talent show?
Nick- no, not yet; But why not now? Joe, Kevin, we have added a sista to the joe bros! Haley will be doing the show with us. She is an amazing singer and a rocker on the guitar!
Kevin- sounds good!!! What do you want to sing?
Haley- anything
Joe- Um, well, um Nick, Haley, while you two were out walking together, some guy who works with entertainment came to our room and asked us to do a full concert for the talent show. And I kind of agreed.
Nick- dude!!! Why would you do that?
Kevin- what is your problem?
Haley- you guys don’t need to be mean to him. He didn’t know! Guys its fine, I can perform by myself. I even know some songs I can sing.
Nick- you sure?
Haley- of course! Am I ever unsure?
Kevin- she has a point.
Haley- I am fine
Joe- haley u pwned us!!!

Their food then arrived and they ate really fast, because they were super excited to go to hang out.

While they were walking back to their rooms to change, Haley spotted someone familiar looking. The girl was Sarah.

Haley- Hey Sarah, wait up!
Sarah- What?
Haley- Hi, you probably don’t remember me, but I am Haley, we met this morning at the gym. I was the grumpy girl you did yoga with.
Sarah- I remember you, how could I forget you?
Sarah then looks next to Haley and sees the Jonas Brothers.
Sarah- AHHHH!! Oh my goodness, you are the Jonas Brothers!
Joe- whoa you are a loud one!
Nick- I think I popped an ear drum
Haley- I’m good, I am a girl
Kevin- well lucky you, I can’t hear anything
Sarah- oh my Jonas! What have I done? I have ruined their ears!
Haley- oh don’t worry about them they are fine. Do you want to hang out?
Sarah- um, sure, but I have to go change. I actually was on my way back to the dining room when I saw you. I left my purse in their. Want to meet somewhere?
Haley- Sure, we can meet at the teen club in 30 minutes.
Sarah- I will be there
Joe- hey, wait I left my key in there to.

The two walk off together leaving Haley, Nick, and Kevin. They all walk back to the rooms and change Haley wears:

Nick- hi girly!
Haley- hi dude
Nick and Haley kissed for 8 seconds.
Kevin- okay u love birds, let’s go get Kelly. I just talked to Joe. He is in love with Sarah. He is going to dance with her tonight, he hopes.
Nick- cool, is he gonna meet us there 2?
Kevin- yah, he is walking Sarah there
Haley- well, what are we waiting for? Lets go dudes!!!
Nick- okie dokey!
Haley- what floor (as she pushes the button in the elevator)
Kevin- 7
Haley and nick both knew this was the bottom floor. The least expensive; so, Kelly obviously did not have much money or just not as much as Haley and nick; but that did not matter, because Kevin liked her. When they got to Kellies room he came out and hugged Kevin.
Kelly- Hi Haley, Nick
Haley- hey, hows your day been?
Kelly- great
Haley- well are we all ready? Kelly you have your phone? And your key
Kelly- o I don’t have a phone
Haley- o that’s okay, you can use my phone if you need to call someone.
Kelly- thanks, and I have my key so we can go
Haley- so, what school do you go to?
Kelly- o I go to a public school. It is called OC academy.
Haley- cool, do you live by the beach?
Kelly- actually I live about 20 minutes away, but not beachfront. Do you?
Haley- yes, but that is because I love to surf a lot. So I have to be close by. Do you surf?
Kelly- no, I never learned. I love to relax at the beach.
Kelly and Kevin start to walk ahead of Nick and Haley.
Haley- Nick, I have nothing in common with her.
Nick- I know, you guys are like complete opposites

Haley- yah, I LOVE ice cream! MY favorite type is chocolate waffle cones with sprinkles on top.

They run off to the buffet room, where they serve ice cream
Nick- why don’t you sit down and I will get your ice cream for you
He goes to get the ice cream, while Haley goes to get a table. Nick then comes back and gives Haley her ice cream.
Haley- thank you!
Nick- so, what’s up? Have you talked to anyone else from your school?
Haley- No, not since I was getting ready for dinner. Oh, and that reminds me, I know we are going to back for the funeral. But, I we will have two days before we have to go to school. So what do you want to do? We could go to Disneyland or the beach or both. Or whatevs. We can do whatever you want. I really don’t mind.
Nick- We can go to Disneyland and the beach. I could get us total special treatment. It will be like nothing you ever imagined.

-Haley thinks- Wow, he has never shown me this side of him before? I better be nice, even though it is like a joke. Of, course everyone will love him.
Haley- Wow Nick, I can’t believe you could even think my friends would be so mean. Of course they will love you! Plus, if they don’t like you or treat you mean, they are not my real friends. I could live without them if they are rude to you.

When the two walk into the teen room, everyone gasps and has a huge silence.
Joe- They did that when we walked in to.

Haley- So, what did we interrupt?
No one says anything.
Haley- well, we may have to do something to break the silence then. I know a game we could play. If everyone else wants to.
Kevin- Sure, we would love to.
Sarah- Yah, I totally want to.
Haley- Ok, thanks, what you do is sit in a circle. (Everyone gets into a circle). Then someone……um….how about you (points to a girl) What is your name?
Girl- My name is Bella
Haley- Hi, I am Haley. I love your name it is sooo pretty. Okay, what you do is say your name, then the person next to you says your name and their name. It just keeps going. Okay, let’s start. (the people all start)
Nick- wow, haley, you got them talking, you are the best. You are like really out-going and not shy at all.
Haley- oh, thanks, it really wasn’t hard

So they kept playing until the last person went.
Counselor- Okay, everyone quiet down. We are going to do a scavenger hunt, before we go dancing. I will tell you who the teams are so no one go planning yet. The winning team will get there choice of one CD from the prize room. Team 1- Bella, Nick, Kelly, Ashley, Morgan, and Austin
-The name Austin made Haley’s stomach dip
Counselor- Team 2 will be Kevin, Sarah, Mallory, Kris, Matt, and Audree. Team 3 will be- Haley, Joe, Miranda, John, Sean, Candace, and Amanda. Here is what you have to find first. You need to find out what tomorrow’s special is for breakfast. When you find out any of your answers, you need to find a house phone and call this number, 1857. We will answer the phone and tell u if your answer is correct or not, then we will give you your next clue. We will be starting in 5 minutes. So you guys can talk with whoever you want.
Haley- Nick, you are going down, down to china town, lookin like a clown
Nick- well, well, well……. You are going down with me! Hah!
Haley- wow, gorgeous comeback
Nick- thank you very much!
Joe walks over
Joe- yah! Haley and I are going to dominate!

John goes over next to haley and puts his hand around her shoulder, Joe sees this, but before he could say anything, nick runs in
Nick- WE GOT THE ANSWER!
Haley- (louder than nick) STOP! JOHN HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU? I LIKE NICK! I WANT YOU TO STOP!
Joe- hey, what is going on?
Nick- haley, are you okay.
-haley starts to cry
Haley- I am so sorry nick!
-Haley runs away, out the teen room.
Nick- (to john) Dude, what is your problem? Not only are you a jerk, but do you know what that girl has been through on this cruise? No, you don’t know! Her friend died yesterday. Her best friend, tonight she told me she wants to be happy! Do you think she is happy right now? No she isn’t! You owe her an apology!
John- dude, I am sorry, I didn’t know
Nick- it was the wrong thing to do anyway.
Randi- hey, nick
Nick-yah
Randi- I could go find haley, if you want me to
Nick- I think I will go with you

They walked around to a bunch of places, but couldn’t find Haley. Randi felt kind of weird walking around looking for Haley with Nick. Mainly, because he was looking so sad and she was so shy around famous people. He was almost crying.

So, Nick and Haley went back to the nightclub. When they got there, they saw everyone was dancing and having a blast. They walked over to Joe and Sarah.
Sarah- Hi Haley. My mom said I could sleep over tonight.
Haley- Okay, great (they were dancing to Avril Lavinge’s new hit Girlfriend, when Joe and Nick walked outside)
Nick- (to Joe) Dude what is your problem? Why can’t you keep your mouth shut?
Joe- I thought you gave it to her, I really did. We wanted to know what happened.
Nick- Did it ever occur to you that you could have asked me? Or maybe, just maybe, I don’t want to tell you!
Joe- Dude, I am really sorry.
Nick- whatever
Joe- Dude, let’s just forget this happened
Nick- yah, well maybe I don’t want to, I will be back in a few minutes, tell Haley please

Nick- yah, I know, it is just, I was so excited to give you the ring, I just kind of let it get to me.
Haley- so, when we go back inside, you won’t be mad?
Nick- I will be annoyed at him, just not mad
Haley- okay, I ordered a drink, we can share because, I can’t finish it by myself.
Nick- oh, good, because I am parched

When they got back, they shared a drink, and danced a little bit. Haley did not know a lot of the rap music they were playing, so Nick had to explain it a bit. When the 6 were tired of dancing, Joe, Sarah, Nick, and Haley all went up to the 12th floor, while Kevin walked Kelly back to her room. They all had their plans ready for the morning. Haley would get up early and exercise, while everyone else slept. When she got back, she would make sure Joe and Kevin were up. Then Sarah would go back to her room, because she had made plans with her family. When Joe and Kevin, were ready, she would go with Nick to eat breakfast. Then after they were ready, Nick would take Haley to the mall.

Outside Haley’s room.
Nick- So, Sarah are you going to stay here tonight?
Sarah- yes
Haley- we have some things we have to do
Nick kisses Haley
Nick- well have fun

So Haley and Nick told Joe and Sarah the plan. Joe and Sarah totally loved it.
Meanwhile, Haley and Sarah still wanted to freak out the guys, so they waited until 1:00 in the morning. Then they went over to the boys room.

Girls (trying to sound like guys) - emergency, emergency leave your rooms now. Do not change, you have no time

Then they ran into their room and watched through the door to see what would happen.

The boys came out of their room. None of them had a shirt on, and they all had just boxer shorts on. They started knocking on Haley’s door.

Boys- Haley, Sarah, emergency! Don’t change, just hurry!

Haley and Sarah just start to crack up and fall on the floor they are laughing so hard.

Nick- Haley, come on!!! We are gonna die!!!!!!!!!!

Haley- (whispers) you have to bump into him now
Sarah- okay

Joe- come on!!!!

Haley- (whispers) go along with it

Haley- I am coming Nick!!

They run out of the room and start running everywhere through the ship.

Nick then walked over to Haley and hugged her and tried to keep her warm as they walked back to the room. Then Joe went over to Sarah, and KISSED her. Then he kept her warm as they went back to the room. As this happened Nick and Haley just smiled at each other.

Haley- I love this restraint.
Nick- Me 2!
Haley- My favorite part is the bread they give you
Nick- So, any stores you want to go to, like, you have to go to?
Haley- Sephora, I need some makeup
Nick- Okay
Haley- That’s all I can think of, what are you going to order?
Nick- pizza
Haley- I think I want a club sandwich.
Nick- I got you some things
Haley- you did, when? You didn’t have to get me anything.
Nick- I know. I got it while we were in Juicy Couture.
Nick then shows her all of the stuff he got her. Haley starts to cry she is so happy.
Haley- Nick, why are you always so nice? You are like perfect! I don’t think I would be able to get through this, without you.
Nick- I don’t know what to say.
Haley- I have gone out with a lot of guys, guys who have known me my whole life. They seemed to know me so well. Nick, it is weird, because you, who have known me a few days, are nicer and better to me than any of those guys. You seem to know me better than anyone.
Nick- Well, it is the same with you. I mean, I have never been willing to tell my girlfriends anything. I felt like there was a wall between us. But, with you and me it is different. We actually talk to each other, we have real conversations. We tell each other everything. I mean most girls would not have told me about the promise ring.
Haley- Well, that was so different, because I could not keep that to myself. I couldn’t lie and keep it a secret anymore.
Nick- well, still. I love you
Haley- I love you to
They kissed and talked the whole time during lunch. Then they decided to go back to Sephora. Then they would go back to the ship. When Haley got to Sephora she bought some eyeliner, lip gloss, and a ton of eye shadow. Then they started to go back to the ship.
Haley- Want to do something tonight?
Nick- yah, let’s go to the movies or something
Haley- it is still only 3:00, I don’t think they are back yet, want to go swimming?
Nick- sure, I am so glad the pool is heated; I can’t imagine it not being.
Haley- yah, I also want to go play volleyball. Maybe we could all play, like when I say all I mean Kevin, Joe, Sarah, and Kelly. And of course, us.

So then they got back to the ship and went to their rooms.

Haley and Nick heard someone knocking on the door. But, it wasn’t Joe or Kevin. It was Sarah in tears.
Haley- Oh my goodness, Sarah are you okay?
Nick- What’s wrong?
Sarah- My, my, my, mom said that I couldn’t go out with Joe. She said that she didn’t want me to have a boyfriend, and that he was too old for me.
Haley then reaches in and gives Sarah a big hug.
Haley- Can we do anything about it?
Sarah- I, I, I, don’t know
Haley- We will think of something, come sit down, here, let me get you some water
Haley goes and gets her some water, when Sarah drinks it, she seems to calm down
Nick- did you tell Joe yet?
Sarah- no, I tried calling him, but he didn’t answer
Nick- Well, I will call him right now, but I won’t tell him, it is you who he would want to hear it from. But, I want to know where he is, they have been gone for a while.
Sarah- Okay
Haley- First, um Nick, can I talk to you outside for a moment
Nick- Sure
They go outside into the hallway.
Haley- Fist off, don’t call Joe call Kevin. Second, what should we do, she is heart-broken and I know that Joe will be miserable too.
Nick- Someone has to talk to her mom. I think it should be you and Joe.
Haley- Why me?
Nick- Because you are always so sure of what is going on. I know you can convince her mom to let her date Joe, and Joe- well he better be nice and convince her mom.
Haley- Okay, I will. When though?
Nick- Right when Joe gets back.
Haley- Okay, make the call, actually go in and make the call at the same time

They walk into the room.

Kevin- Hey dude, what’s up?
Nick- we are on the ship, where are you guys?
Kevin- We just got done kayaking, we are going to do some souvenir shopping now. We will be back in like 45 minutes.

Dad- I think we were talking about going to see a show. When I say we I mean everyone in both families, so, no kids club tonight, maybe you could do something else

Nick- Okay well Haley and Joe are going to go talk to your mom about you going out with Joe right when our family gets back

Officer- Now, I understand you are on a cruise.
Nick- Yes, we are at port right now. Haley and I are going to leave early though in 2 days actually. Her friend just passed away.

Nick didn’t know what to do. He wanted everything to be all right with Sarah, but he wanted Haley to know the problem right away in case anything happened.

Haley- Oh, okay. First I want to say hi to my dad, and get this thing handled with Sarah.
Nick- Hurry, it is kind of urgent.

Joe- Wait, what? Why did you run? What is going on?

Haley’s dad- She fainted. She has diabetes, and she faints if she has low blood sugar. I am surprised she didn’t tell you. But come to think of it, she doesn’t ever tell anyone that.
Joe- What are we going to do?
Haley’s Dad- anyone have any food with them?
Everyone- no
Nick- oh no, oh no. this is crazy what are we going to do?
Haley’s dad- Nick, when was the last time Haley ate?
Nick- I think it was lunch; she had half a club sandwich.
Joe- Um, I think we need to stop talking and help her

Joe came back a minute later with a Snickers bar. They tried to put it in her mouth and waited a couple seconds.
Haley- Why am I on the ground? Why is my head hurting, and ewwwwww, why did I just eat a chocolate bar? It is volleyball season, I cant eat this garbage!
Everyone starts to laugh really hard.
Nick- You fainted.
Haley- I did?
Joe- Yah, the only reason we gave the candy was to get your blood sugar back up.
Haley- I am sorry I freaked out.
Joe- you didn’t know
Dad- Haley, when you are feeling better I want you to come to my room, I need to talk to you and your sister.

Nick- She was in a car accident, and she is not doing good. They are going to call us with updates.
Haley- Okay, I knew in my head that I had been avoiding you ever since I got that call. Why me? Why can’t they give me a good day? I mean, whenever something good happens, something worse happens.

I knew that Haley was confused. She was hurt, but she didn’t know what to do. She was confused why things kept falling apart, right when they built up. I had no idea of what to do. I wanted to just be there for her. Just I knew Haley would want to be acting normal.
Me- Haley, just cry. You can’t pretend to be happy. Just cry and let me hold you
Haley- No, I am fine. Let’s go. I am going to call my mom and then we can go hang out. Is that okay?
Me- Um, yeah
I was confused now. I had no idea what was going on.

After she straightened her hair and did her water-proof makeup, she just sat down and started to cry.
When Nick was ready, he went over to see if Haley was ready, he saw her door was open, so he peeked in. What he saw was her sitting at a chair, crying really hard. He walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder. But right, when he did that she stopped crying and tried to act normal.
Haley- are you ready to go
Nick- um, yeah. Let’s do this
So they walked down to the elevator when they bumped into Randi (from the teen room)
Haley- Hey, Randi was it?

Randi- I am good, just going to go to the informal dinner. Hence my jeans and sweatshirt.
Haley- Oh, that sounds nice. We only go to the formal dinner, because that is the only time we get to see our parents

Nick- Well, we are all going to go with our families and watch the show tonight. Then, we may go see a movie.
Randi- Same thing here, my mom and dad are making me go. I even have to take my brothers along.
Nick- How old are your brothers?
Randi- Well, Aston is 22 and Taylor is 15.
Nick- Maybe we could hang out sometime?

Mr. Jonas- No, everyone is going to go see the show tonight, and then the older kids may go do something. But you and Megan will have to go to bed
Haley- What is the show?
Mrs. Jonas- Dancing around the world
Joe- Sounds……………….um, different
Nick- we will find out
So, they were eating when Haley got a text from Randi:
Randi- Hey, what movie is playing tonight?
Haley- IDK, do you want to sleepover? Sarah might sleepover too!
Randi- Sure, I will talk to my mom
Haley- Let me find out
Haley- Hey guys, what movie is playing tonight at the theatres?
Mrs. Jonas- Marie Antoinette
Haley- YES!! I love that movie, we have to watch it! It starts at 11:30
Haley- We are going to watch Marie Antoinette. It is at 11:30. Your brothers may be able to sleepover at Nick’s room if your parents don’t want them waking them up.
Randi- Aston can’t, he got in trouble. Taylor will want to probably.
Haley- I am at dinner, so I will talk to you later
Randi- See you later
(Haley whispers to Nick)-
Haley- Can Taylor sleep over at your room tonight?
Nick- Sure
Haley- Randi is sleeping at mine, if her mom lets her
Regular Talk-
When everyone was finished, they all went back to their rooms to change into something else for the show. They needed to dress a little bit more formal, so they got dressy.
While Haley was in her room, she checked her voicemail:
Mallory: Hey Haley, it is Mallory, how are you doing? I hear you are on a cruise. Going out with NICK JONAS! I also heard about your mom, I am really sorry. I know you are going through a tough time. Call me if you need anything, luv ya!
Natalie- Hey Haley, it is Nat! I am so sorry about your mom! Call me if you need anything. Try to enjoy your vacation!
Brooke- Hey girlie! How is my favorite person ever? I am so sorry about your mom! Call me! Say hi to Nick for me!
Derrington- Hey Haley! It is Derrick! How are u doing? I am so sorry about your mom and Sammi! Call me when you get back. Or whenever, bye. O and we really should talk about something. About US!
Haley paused. This was weird, how did everyone know about her mom? Why was Derrington asking about us? What about when she got back? Were her friends going to like Nick more than her? It was completely opposite of what Nick was saying, but it could happen.
Then she went back to checking the rest of her messages-
Hey, it is Alicia, sorry I haven’t called! I miss you so much! I am sorry about your mom. She was always so nice to me.
Right after that Haley just dropped the phone. She new that the word WAS was a tip-off to what other message might be in there. So she just screamed. Then she lay down. This was way too much for her. She had always known her mom was a careless driver, she knew that she would get into an accident one day. Now, Haley would have to tell everyone else. This way too much to inhale. So, she just went to sleep and thought……………………when she woke up, she knew what she would do……

Sarah- You don’t have to, really!
Haley- But I want to! You are like my best friend on this cruise, except for Nick
Sarah- Well of course, you 2 like can like read each other. It is almost creepy how perfect you two are for each other!
Haley- Thanks, now don’t change the subject! I am going to three way Joe, but you need to be quiet the whole entire time, he can’t know you are there.
Sarah- okay, I will be silent!

Joe- Hey Haley, Nick is getting ready, and we ready to get ready to and there is only 1 bathroom, so he can’t talk.
Haley- um, okay, but I called to talk to you
Joe- about what?
Haley- Well, Sarah is a little wierded out that you haven’t asked her out, I think you may want to talk to her
Joe- But I see her like all the time, why would she say that?
Haley- I don’t know, you should talk to her
Joe- I will call her now, thanks for telling me, wait what should I say?
Sarah- Ask her out for a late snack, like ice-cream or something. Then say you want to walk around or something. I don’t know, go instead of going to the movie. That way after the show, she will have time to get ready, and I want to see what she is wearing

Haley- omg that was really loud. Okay so when you are ready come to my room. It is 7:45 and the show starts at 8, I better get going. The show should be over by nine, I think when I get back I will put some comfy clothes on and some boots, then I am going to take a nap. So I will leave the door open, so just come on in

Sean- Hey Haley, how is it going? I mean that is a stupid question, your mom is a lot better though, but Sam. Oh well we can talk later. If things don’t work out between you and Nick, I have a shoulder for you to lean on. Call me, well, c you later
Haley screamed, her mom was a lot better, Alicia was an airhead! And not only that, the cutest guy asked her out! Even though she had a perfect boyfriend, it was nice to think about. She was so happy now. No more messages, they could be to depressing. She decided to call Sean back and say thanks. But she got his voicemail.
Haley- Hey Sean, its me, Haley. Thanks for calling me, call me back and we can talk. C u later!! Or talk, whatever, bye!
Haley then went over and knocked on Nick’s door, hoping they were ready.

Nick- Oh my! Dudes! What is going on in here? I went into the bathroom, and I left the room clean! We have company coming later.

Kevin- Haley, he is over obsessive with keeping everything clean.
Haley- Well me to. You guys need to clean this up, I will help. Wait, no. You guys get ready while I clean this up. When you are ready, you can help.
Nick- I am ready, they were watching TV and they didn’t get ready.
Haley- Okay, oh and (she goes over and kisses him) hey
Nick- (kisses her back) hey to you too.
Haley- Let’s get cleaning, JOE, KEVIN- We are leaving in 10 minutes.
Haley and Nick get cleaning, Haley thought it was kind of disgusting, I mean, gross, guys clothes. This was definitely something she had never done for any of her boyfriends.
Haley- 2 more minutes!
Nick- You look really pretty, are those the earrings I got you?
Haley- you noticed!

Haley- OKAY WE ARE LEAVING!
Joe- I am good, does my hair look okay?

Since they are already sitting down, they have to order their drinks and desserts. Once they did, the show started when Haley’s phone started buzzing. Good Thing she had put it on vibrate. It was a message from Sean:
Sean- Hey, what’s up?
Haley looked around to make sure no one was watching, Nick was, but who cares.
Haley- Nm, u? I am at a show on the cruise with Nick
Sean- Did you get my message?
Haley- Yah, thanks for telling me my mom is doing better.
Sean- Do you want to go out with me?
Haley looked over at Nick, he looked really tense, and he had his fists clenched.
Haley- No, I really, really like Nick. Maybe if you had asked me when I had liked you at school.
Sean- Yah, I know. I have always liked you, but I thought you liked Austin. He liked you and I couldn’t steal you from him.
Haley- FYI- I liked him 2! And if we aren’t going out I am not his girl.
Sean- You are right. Did you hear that Ryan and Chloe are going out?
Haley- No, I don’t really like Ryan, he is kind of a jerk and he looks like a monkey.
Sean- LOL
Haley- Well, I got to go, see you soon, say hi to peeps for me!

Haley went back to watching the show. So she put her head on Nick’s shoulder and went to sleep.

Haley grabbed her stuff and put it in her sweatshirt pocket. Then her and Nick walked on over to Randi’s room.

Randi- Hey Nick, omg come on in you guys. Nick and Haley, I want you to meet my brother Taylor.
Nick- Sup, dude!

Haley- wow a full conversation in less than 5 words

Taylor- Yeah, were going to the movie right?
Haley- Yes, I am so excited, because I get to see my favorite movie!

So Joe and Sarah are just starting their date
Joe- Sarah, You look so pretty

Joe- Nope, it is a secret.
Sarah- Well I guess I can wait.
So they walk over to the dessert buffet room. But it would usually be closed this late.
Sarah- What are we doing? It is closed
But when they get there, they see about ten workers. They are all dressed nicely. One person runs up to them and seats them.
Sarah- Oh my goodness, Joe!!! This is so cool. Did you do this for me?
Joe- oh course I did!
Sarah- This is so romantic
Joe- Thank You, you are beautiful, so I thought that you would like it
So Joe and Sarah chatted, they got a lot of dessert. Then they went to take a walk.
The Movie:
Nick, Haley, Randi, and Taylor were sitting in the theatre. They were all kind of talking. Waiting for the movie to start.
Haley- So Nick, what are we doing tomorrow?
Nick- Actually, since we are leaving early, we are shooting the music video tomorrow.
Haley- Seriously?
Nick- Yep!
Haley- Oh my!! I am so excited. What part am I?
Nick- Well, you and Sarah will have 2 parts. Kelly, only one. Randi, you can be in it too.
Haley- What am I doing?
Nick- Well, in the beginning, you will look totally different. You will wear a wig and a ton of heavy makeup. You will be kind of a jerk. You bring your friends on a date. Randi, you can be one of the friends.

Haley- I am tired!!!
Nick- Me too.
Haley- Okay, don’t fall asleep.

Nick- You know, tomorrow is our last full day on the ship
Haley- I know, I am sad.
Nick- Are we all set to go home?
Haley- Yes, my dad got the tickets all set. They changed their dates, so our families stay 5 extra days in Vancouver.
Nick- Whoa! We already stayed in Vancouver for 3 days before the cruise started.
Haley- Us 2! But we didn’t do much; all we did was stay at the hotel. It was raining outside. I really wanted to go to the aquarium.
Randi- Wait, you guys are leaving?
Nick- Yah, but where do you live? Maybe we could see you
Randi- I live in Canada.
Haley- Well, we could email.
Randi- Sure
Haley- You don’t have to be so rude. I mean, I am nice to you. I invite you to sleep over. You are in my boyfriend’s music video tomorrow. What is your problem?
Nick was a bit shocked Haley got mad at Randi. But Randi was being rude.
Randi- You are the one with the problem. And Nick, why would you date a girl like her? She is a brat. Nick, you are the only reason I am here. Now I am leaving.
Then she and Taylor left the theatre.
Haley- I guess she isn’t sleeping over.
Nick- Well that explains why she wanted to help me look for you last night.

Back To Joe and Sarah’s Date
Sarah and Joe were walking around, they were just staring into each others eyes. Then Randi came up to them.

Joe glares at her, but pretends he is not mad.
Joe- Oh not much, just out on a DATE!
Randi- Well, mind if I crash.
Joe- ummm….
Randi- Good. So tell me about Haley and you brother.
Joe- Well…………
Sarah- No Joe, don’t talk to her. Randi you need to leave. This is my date. Go find your own boyfriend. Oh wait, you cant, you are too self-centered.
Randi- You are so rude.
Then she runs off.
Joe- Good job.

Joe- I know…….
Then he leans in and kisses her.
Sarah- Ahhh!!! I just kissed Joe!!!!!! OMG!!!!!
