4 months earlier:
Flashback
Miley’s POV

“Miley, I have to go to Romania tonight.” Jake and I were both sitting on the pier that was over the ocean, but the part we were on was just over sand.

“You can’t leave… you kissed me!!”

“I know and it was great. Now I don’t have to go off four months and wonder what it would have been like.”

“Yeah it would have been awful if you left with out planting one on me.” I said sarcastically.

Surprisingly he answered, “Exactly.” He said shaking his head.

“Well I guess it is four months so I’m going to give you something extra to remember me by.” We leaned in as if we were going to kiss when I pushed him off the pier and he yelled, “Ah!!”

I started to laugh and finally said, “That’s how I plant one.”

“Help?!” I looked down and saw Jake laying there in the sand, as I reached down to help him up he jumped up and pulled me down, where I somehow ended in his arms.

“I want you to meet someone.” I jumped out of his arms and stood next to him.

“Who?” Really, Who?? I want to know.

“You’ll see, it’s a surprise.” He told me to jump on his back, when I did he started running towards a really big house that was on the beach. I always wanted to see what it looked like on the inside.

When we finally got to the big white house we went through a gate and on the other side were lots of golf carts. I was still on Jake’s back so I jumped off and followed him while he sat in the driver’s seat of one of the golf carts.

“Are you coming??” He asked.

“No Jake I’m going to leave.” I turned and started walking to the gate.
Then I turned around and ran back, “Of course I’m coming, but one question.”

“Yeah?” I smiled at this.
“Can I drive??” I asked and did my puppy dog face.
“Sure.” He scooted over to the passenger seat and I started to drive. I saw another gate up ahead and when we finally got to the gate they let us through and by now we were at the actual house. (His house was like three times bigger than mine.)

I parked the golf cart where all the other ones were and we jumped out of the golf cart. Jake led me to this room that was painted like the beach and you could actually see the beach from the room.
“So who am I supposed to meet?” I asked curiously.

“I’ll give you one clue… they are females.” He said. Oh yeah that narrows it down

“Uh… that’s not narrowing it down any.” I said.

“I know it just-.” He got cut off by a little girl who looked like she was four run in and yell “Jake!!”

“Is this part of the surprise??”

“Part of it.”

The little girl had to be at least six and she looked exactly like Jake so my guess was that it was his little sister.

Jake’s sister stared at me for about five seconds and I finally went up to her and said, “My name’s Miley. What’s yours??”

She smiled. “My name is Emma.”
“I have to go finish packing.” Jake said and left to go to his room.

“I didn’t know Jake had a sister.”
“A lot of people don’t know because I want to be a normal person at school.” She said.

Wow!! It just hit me that Emma didn’t want anyone to know her brother was Jake Ryan because people might treat her different. I think we have a lot in common.

“Jake told me you like to sing.”
“Really??” I don’t want to sing right now, but I’ll do it if she asks me to.
“Yeah, I have a stage where I sing Hannah Montana songs… do you want to sing??” She asked me… should I say yes??

“Only if I really really have to.” I replied.

“Well then, will you please sing??” She did the puppy dog face.

We had a lot in common.

“Okay.” She smiled. “Yes!” She pulled me to this nice size room where there was a small stage, a microphone, tv, and a few chairs plus a table.

“Here’s the microphone.” She handed it to me and put in the song she wanted me to sing.

“I love nobody’s perfect… will you sing it and try to do the dance moves??” She did the puppy dog face again.

“I will if you don’t do the puppy dog face… it’s too tempting.” She laughed.

“Jake told us you did it so I started to do it.”

“Oh.” I laughed.

“Here’s the video.” She put in the music video and I started singing. I got all into it that I wasn’t looking at who was watching me… I never knew singing and dancing made me feel this way, but it did. The song was over and I looked out to see Emma’s mouth in a big O and I also saw Jake and a lady that couldn’t be but in her late 40’s doing the same thing.

“Wow Miley, that sounded-.” Jake got interrupted by the older lady.
“like-.” She got interrupted by Emma.
“Hannah Montana!!!” Emma was screaming at this point. “Miley’s Hannah Montana!!”
She ran and hugged me which was surprising coming from a six year old.

“I love love love times infinity and beyond your songs.” She was freaking out.
“Thanks.” I smiled. I saw Jake and that other lady still in shock.
“Could I have your autograph??” She did the puppy dog face but immediately stopped. “Sorry I forgot.”
I laughed. “It’s okay… I still do it so you should too.”
I signed the autograph, when I looked up Jake was out of the shock moment.
“Thanks Miley.” She smiled.
“Can I talk to Jake for a minute?” I asked.
“Yeah.” She and the lady left.

“So your really Hannah Montana??” Jake asked like he was confused.
“Yeah.” I sat down and then he sat next to me.
“No wonder you didn’t treat me like all the other people.” He smiled.
“Yeah, and because I already liked Orlando Bloom and I couldn’t cheat on him.” I said and he just laughed.

“Miley…”
“Yeah Jake?!”
“When I leave tonight promise you’ll wait for me?” He seemed serious.

“Don’t worry I will only if you wait for me.” I smiled and so did he.

“That’ll be hard knowing all the Romanian girls I’ll see.” He said jokingly.

I looked at him seriously.
“I’m kidding I’ll wait for you.”

“And so will I. Deal?”
“Deal.”

Chapter 2
Still flashback
Miley’s POV

“Who was that lady??” It looked like his grandmother, but I wasn’t sure.

“My grandmother, do you want to meet her??”

“Yeah.” He got up and I followed him to the kitchen where his grandmother and sister were.

His grandmother turned around and said, “You must be Miley.” I shook my head yes.
“I’m there grandmother, but you can call me Nina.”

There is no way I’m going to call her Nina. I could never call a grandparent by there first name.

“Is it okay if I call you Ms. Nina??” She smiled. “Yes. That’s fine.”
All of a sudden Emma broke out singing I’ve Got Nerve and she was actually pretty good.

“Wow Emma, do you want to sing at my concert??” Her face lit up.

“Me?” I shook my head yes.

“Me... Me Emma sing at a Hannah Montana.” I shook my head yes again then I pulled out my beach bag and put my wig on.

“I can come some day soon and practice with you… or you can come to my house” I smiled.

“You really are Hannah Montana.” Ms. Nina said.

“You can come tomorrow; I’ll plan the whole thing out.” Then she ran away.

“I see… already having fun with me leaving.” Jake said jokingly.

“Yeah pretty much.” I said and Ms. Nina laughed.

“Well Jake... I’m going to go so you can get ready to leave.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, I’m sure just text me every other minute.” He looked confused.

“Just kidding, but keep in contact with your grandmother if you can’t with me.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll do both.” I smiled.

“Bye Jake.” Then I went and hugged him.

“Bye Miley.” I waved to both Jake and Ms. Nina then left.

Jake’s POV
My grandmother was staring at me just smiling.

“What?!” She rolled her eyes. I promise I have never seen my grandmother roll her eyes.

“Jake, sweetie… whatever you do don’t break her heart.” She wasn’t yelling or anything, but I knew she was serious and I was going to do everything not to hurt Miley.

“I’ll try not to.” I smiled and she smiled back then went to another room to watch none other than… Oprah.

Miley’s POV

I’m at home now, I’m so glad Jake and I got together. I’m really going to miss him, but he promised me he would wait for me if I wait for him. So technically we are together, but are holding it off until he comes back.

4 months later:
Lilly’s POV

“Lilly, I’ve been trying to call you why won’t you pick up??” Miley asked.

“Oh, because my phone broke.” I shrugged. “Are we still going to Jake’s house??”

“Yeah, if you still want to.” Miley seemed like she really wanted to go so I said yes.

At Jake’s house:

Jake’s grandmother, who we called Ms. Nina, was really happy today.

“Girls, Jake is coming back today.” Miley’s eyes got really big and Emma and I started happy dancing.

“Why are you happy dancing?” Emma asked.

“Now Miley won’t have to tell me how much she misses Jake because he’ll be here. What about you??” Emma jumped higher.

“I get to do another concert in a few days.” She jumped really high.

All of a sudden the doorbell rang, everyone stopped talking and we all looked at Ms. Nina. Ms. Nina shook her head yes to let Miley go and open the door.

Miley’s POV

The doorbell just rang. I hope it’s Jake!! I walked really slow to the doorbell and when I opened it. It was Jake, four months really makes a person look better.

“Jake!!” I hugged Jake; it seemed like forever since I’ve last done that. “What are you doing here??” He asked strangely.

“Ever since I met your grandmother and Emma I started coming to visit and Lilly came too.” I moved to the side to let him see Lilly standing there. She waved.

“I need to tell you something I-.” He got interrupted by a girl that said,” Jakey… a little help??”

I looked at her, she had lots of designer things on and she walked up to us.

“Hi. My name is Alexa, I’m Jake’s girlfriend.” Lets just say she said girlfriend pretty loud.

“Nice to meet…. You.” I walked away from the door told Ms. Nina and Emma bye, then Lilly and I left.

Emma’s POV

“Jake, what the heck is wrong with you?!” Everyone turned to look at me. Alexa looked at me and walked up to me. “Who are you?” She said kind of snobbish. “Oh, I’m Jake’s sister… listen you need to leave.” Alexa looked shocked. “Excuse me??”
“Did I not make myself clear?? YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOW!!” I said very loud and walked away.

Nina’s POV

I could not help but laugh, my granddaughter just told that girl she needed to leave. I started laughing and immediately cut it out because Jake gave me a look and I gave him the same look the day I told him not to heart Miley…. And he still did it.

Chapter 3
Miley’s POV
“I’m sorry Miley.” Lilly said.
She shouldn’t be sorry because she didn’t do anything.

“Don’t be, I was the stupid person.” I said trying not to choke.

“No you aren’t… Jake was.”

By now we were on the far side of the beach so we decided to just sit and talk.

“Lilly, I waited four whole months for Jake. These four whole months eight guys asked me Miley out and fifteen asked Hannah out. You want to know why I turned them all down. Because I promised Jake I’d wait for him and he promised me too. I just guess it’s A Broken Promise." That’s all that needed to be said… Lilly knew that. So for the rest of the hour or so we just sat looking out at the ocean thinking… lots of thinking.

Jake’s POV

Miley just left, Emma just screamed, and I just got my grandmother to stop laughing. I finally heard my grandmother introduce her self, but she didn’t give her her first name… She gave her her last name.

Nina’s POV
Miley was a sweet girl, she came and helped Emma with performing. She also helped us around the house. I don’t know why Jake brought this girl home, but I guess still have to introduce myself.

“Hi. I’m Ms. Ryan, Jake’s grandmother.” I smiled, but not like the smile I always gave Miley. The smile saying please cut this act out.

“My name’s Alexa. Jake I’ll see you tomorrow… bye.” She waved and walked out the door.

“Jake. Care to explain?” I knew something was up.

Emma’s POV

I ran to where Jake and my grandma were. When I got in there I realized Alexa had left so I went up to Jake and slapped him as hard as possible.

“What was that for?” Man was he clueless.

“You cheated on Miley!!” I screamed, or yelled at the top of my lungs.

Jake’s POV
That made me think, did I really cheat on Miley??

Flashback
“When I leave tonight promise you’ll wait for me?” I tried to seem serious.

Chapter 4

Miley’s POV

Okay Miley. You can do this… just walk into the school and ignore Jake the whole entire day. Who am I kidding?? I can’t do that because he’s in all my classes!!

I walked to my locker to go and get my books out for homeroom when I heard screaming. Here comes Jake.

I started moving faster so I didn’t have to see his face again and I was so lucky enough that he had to skip homeroom because he and Alexa… I used to love the name Alexa it’s really pretty, maybe I should tell her. Anyways Alexa and Jake had to give the administrators their forms.

Ring!!
The bell rung, now I have choir.

Choir
Mrs. Ryan teaches choir. What a quinky dink. She started talking when all of a sudden everyone started screaming and obviously Jake and Alexa had walked in the room. I just sat in my desk like nothing had ever happened and as everyone calmed down I asked Mrs. Ryan

“And you were saying??” I wasn’t trying to be rude, but I didn’t want to hear screaming the whole entire day.

“Oh yes, I was going to say we are going to be competing with different schools all over Malibu at the “Malibu Talent Show” which will be held at the stadium April 2nd. (I’m making things up) I need at least three girls and three boys to sign up for this to help support our school.”

That’s perfect!! I could totally help the school win because obviously I’m Hannah Montana!!

“So any volunteers??” Amber Addison, Alexa whatever her name was, and I somehow found myself stand up.

Mrs. Ryan was officially happy because now she was jumping up and down. “Thank you girls, Amber I know you can sing, but I’m not too sure about Miley and Alexa. Do you want to sing for us??”

“I think I’ve got a cold” She started coughing and pretended like she was sick. Obviously Mrs. Ryan fell for it because she said, “That’s all right we will just have Miley sing for us.”

“You know I think I should wait until another day.” I sat down, but Mrs. Ryan started yelling, “Stewart your up.” I walked up to the little stage and Mrs. Ryan was at the piano.

“I was wondering if you would sing “Nobody’s Perfect” by Hannah Montana.” She started playing the chorus so I guess I couldn’t say anything.

Everyone sat there in disbelief I wanted to laugh because Amber’s mouth dropped.
“I can beat her.” I thought Amber had said that, but no. Alexa had.

Chapter 5
Miley’s POV

“Oh, so your voice recovers after Miley shows us all she can sing.” Mrs. Ryan was on to something.

“Well… it was better before.” Alexa knew she was in a pickle.

“Ms. Alexa I need to speak to you in the hall.” She pointed towards to Alexa and started walking out.

“Wow.” I whispered, but then Mrs. Ryan said, “I need you too Ms. Smiley.”

“Uh... okay…” I walked outside of the classroom and Mrs. Ryan started yelling at us over Jake.

“I’ve heard the whole entire story from all the students in about a hundred different forms and I just want to say STOP IT!!” She yelled and walked away. It was so loud people ran outside of the classroom to see what was up. Alexa obviously wanted to cause a scene so she said, “Oh my gosh Miley!! You never should have hit her, you should be expelled!” With that she walked away and everyone was staring at me.

“Hey, don’t look at me… I have never touched a teacher.” Then I walked back into the classroom to where I was before. Everyone was out there doing what they do best… Gossiping. At least I thought it was everyone until I saw Jake come and sit next to the desk I was at.

“Hey Miley.” He smiled.

“Lets not talk.” I was dead serious.

“Little harsh huh??” Jake asked confused.

“You obviously don’t know what harsh is.” I whispered and shook my head and looked the other way.

“You can’t be mad at me forever.” I turned around.

“I know, but forever is a long time and well I just got mad at you yesterday.”

“But-.” He got interrupted again by lucky number seven… Alexa.

“I gotta go.” He walked out the door and Alexa came to sit where Jake had been.

“Looks like you and Jake have a lot of things to talk about.” She smiled in my words evilly.

I shook my head. “Not really.”

“Listen Miley, and listen well. I know that you and Jake had a thing four months ago and I just want you to know that I don’t care if you still like Jake Ryan, he’s my boyfriend so back off!! Do I make myself clear?” I can’t believe her. I got really close to her and said. “Crystal clear,” Then I backed away and added. “Except for the fact that I’ll be going to Jake’s house to visit and watch his sister.” Then I started to walk out with a really big smile on my face because I had recorded every single word she had said on my phone… I’m so smart!!

“Wait!” I turned around. “Yeah.”
She got up and walked towards me until she was inches away from me and did one thing I never thought anyone would do. She punched me. “What the heck?!” Everyone had run into the classroom because Mrs. Ryan told them too.

“So... you two are at it again principals office now!!” My eye felt like it was swelling. (Is that even possible??)

“I didn’t do anything!!” Alexa yelled.

“Then why does Miley have a black eye?” She gave Alexa the death stare and Alexa said, “Because she’s retarded and punched herself.”

Mrs. Ryan turned and looked at me. “Is this true Miley??”

“Uh... well… I…-.” I don’t remember what happened next because all I remember seeing was darkness.

Chapter 6
Miley’s dream
“Mom?” I think it was her, was I dead?

“Yes sweetie. It’s me.” She walked up to me. “You always didn’t like to tell on people.” She smiled.

“Well, the guy that I totally like promised me he’d wait and then he left me for some stuck up rich girl.” I frowned.
“Honey, if that guy likes her over you then he doesn’t know what he’s missing.” She smiled and started walking away.

“Mom Wait!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs.
“I have to go, but if you ever need me just dream about me.” Then she disappeared.

I opened my eyes to hear singing.

I jumped up to see Emma with her mouth wide open.

“That was amazing; want to sing it in my concert??” I smiled.
“Miley, Oh my gosh your awake… your awake!!” She whispered.

“How long have I been like this?” I didn’t know I was out of it.

“A month… it’s April 2nd.” She said.
“I’ve got to get to school.” Emma shook her head then smiled.

“Not until you get checked.” Then she ran out and got the doctor. When the doctor came in he was wide eyed and obviously shocked.

“Your awake, I just need to do a few test then you can go. I need to call your dad.”

“Wait! I need to go to school, can you call him in two hours?” I really wanted to go to school.

“Okay, under one condition… you take Emma.” Emma smiled just like her brother… I just woke up and I’m thinking about Jake.
The doctor did all the test and then I changed into my clothes and Emma and I walked towards the school.

At School
Emma was amazed, “Your school is way better than mine.” I laughed.

“Maybe.” I pulled her on my back and walked towards my locker to get my books out for choir. The place that made this happen. “We are going to choir.” I whispered.

“My favorite.” She smiled and I started walking to choir. When we got to the door I knocked on it and Mrs. Ryan came to open it.

“Miley!!” She screamed and fainted.

“Hi...” I walked into the classroom with Emma still on my back and everyone in shock.

Jake jumped out of his seat and walked towards us.
“Miley, how did you wake up?” He stood there shocked.

“Well I just opened my eyes and got up.” Emma was laughing by now.

“You know what I mean.” Jake stared at both of us and stood serious… very serious.

“I talked to my mom, and then I heard Emma singing. She’s really good.” I smiled and sat Emma down. I heard a noise and looked over to see Mrs. Ryan jump up.

“Nice to have you Stewart, who’s your friend?” She looked curiously.
I looked at Emma and she shook her head so I shook mine too.

“This is Emma she supposed to “watch” me.” I laughed, but my laugh turned into a frown when I saw Alexa jump up.

“Isn’t that nice having Jake Ryan’s sister “watch” Miley.” She laughed. Emma looked at her so fiercely I thought she was going to jump on her. I pulled Emma back and we made our way to sit in the two empty desks near us while Jake and Alexa went to their desks.

“As you guys know today is the day we’ve been waiting for… the talent show.” Everyone clapped and Emma and I just smiled.

“I would like to have a quick practice.” She told us to all get up and follow her to the theater where we do all the plays.

In the theater
The first person was Amber, then Alexa, and now it was no one.
“Okay, that’ll be all.” She started to get up when Emma and I asked her if we could go up and she finally agreed. We handed her the music to “Keep Holding On” By Avril Lavigine. “Nice choice.” She gave us the microphones to sing and we started to sing as if we were really going to perform in front of a full audience.

We got a standing ovation from everyone in the room. I just smiled at Emma and gave her a hug when I heard Lilly scream, “Miley!!” She sprinted towards me and I hugged her and we talked in a whisper, but were cracking up…. It was so good to be back. When we were finished talking everyone had left because the 3:30 bell had finally rung so we walked outside, but heard Alexa yelling so we stepped back.

“Alexa we’re over.” Alexa was obviously upset. “But-.” Jake interrupted her.
“You punched Miley in the eye, probably the reason why she was in a coma for a month. Your super mean to my little sister and if your mean to her technically your being mean to me and my whole family so we’re done.” He walked away leaving Alexa there shocked. The next thing you know Emma had gone up to Alexa and said, "I agree 100%." Then she ran off screaming, "Jake, wait for me!!" Alexa finally left and Lilly started cracking up... I couldn't help it so I also started laughing too.

Wow!! I didn’t realize there were 6 chapters. Anyways, here’s Chapter 7, I’m so sorry I didn’t post it sooner.

Chapter 7
Miley’s POV

Lilly and I were on our way to my house when her cellphone started to play the song Pon De Replay which meant it was from my house.

“Do you want to answer it?” She looked at me and got the saying that I did, but I didn’t so she picked up the phone and said, “Mr. Stewart?”

Lilly’s POV
I just picked up my phone and yes I was right. It was Mr. Stewart.

“Is Miley there?” We had just gotten inside Miley’s house and obviously Mr. Stewart didn’t see us because he was in the kitchen on the phone. (Back towards us)

“You should ask her.” Those were the simple words that Miley said. He turned around and tears of joy started coming down his cheeks. As he was running hug her, I could feel the moment and my eyes started to get teary eyed.

Yeah I start to cry when other people do too.

Robbie Ray’s POV

Miley, my daughter was out of a coma. The doctors had told me there was a ninety five percent chance she would die and yet she took the five percent chance to live.

“Your alive!” I said while I was hugging her.

“You thought I was going to… die.” The way she said die kept spinning in my head and wouldn’t get out… she read me like a book, jus like her mother.

“Yes sweetie I did.” She looked off at the piano then back at me.

“Well I’m here and we’ve got a talent show to go to.” With that she and Lilly ran upstairs doing what girls do best… trying on clothes.

Miley’s POV

When I got in my room I jumped on my bed and watched Lilly go into my closet.

“It’s so good to be home!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs before going to change into my outfit.

In the closet

“What should I wear?” I was so excited and forgot I needed to call Emma so I grabbed my phone and called her phone.

“Hey Miley!!” I could tell she was smiling on the other side of the phone.
“Hey Emma, are we going to the talent show?”

“Of course, I’ll be over there in five minutes.” She hung up and the next thing I knew she had come into my closet.

“Sorry it took so long.” She had the cutest outfit on. “Ready for my close up!” She walked as if she was modeling then broke out singing “Nobody’s Perfect”.

Lilly and I just started laughing while she sat and watched tv. When Lilly and I were both finished I told Lilly something that I thought I should do…. Tell the world I’m Hannah Montana. Lilly and Emma were downstairs talking to my dad, what I said had to be done.

I walked downstairs with the Hannah wig in my bag.

“I think you should do it.” My dad had said those simple words that made my eyes get wide.

“You really think so?”

“Yeah bud, I do.” I ran and hugged him then the next thing I knew we were at the stadium behind the curtains practicing.

“Okay, so we’ll do what we did in rehearsals?” Emma was jumping she seemed so excited.

“Yeah, what about the second song?” I had some ideas, but I would always let Emma go first.

“How about… A Thousand Miles?” She knew that we both loved that song.

“That works.” I smiled and Mrs. Ryan walked up. “There’s been a change in the competition… each performance has to sing two songs of there choice and a Hannah Montana song.”

Emma looked at me and all I did was nod. Tonight was going to be a full of surprises.

Chapter 8
Miley’s POV
After Mrs. Ryan had left Emma and I started talking.

“Emma, how old are you?” I just wondered because she sounded like an old lady, but in a good way.

“Seven!! I just turned seven last month.” She smiled showing that she had several of her baby teeth missing.

“That’s awesome… I’m going to get you a present soon.” That made her smile even brighter.

“So how will you… you know tell everyone.” She seemed confused, I was too.

“I think… Nobody’s Perfect will help.” And with that I smiled like I had a plan, and truth be told… I did.

The announcer on the stage was trying to be funny, but he was as bad as my dad. You couldn’t really hear him because once he said something about Jake Ryan all the girls were screaming like crazy. Jake ran up to the stage with two guys behind them and they announced they were going to play the song Jake had wrote called, “Just the Girl.” When the song started it was weird because it sounded like he was talking about… me. And I’m not just saying that.

When they finished everyone the audience was clapping a storm and all the paparazzi were flashing like crazy… I guess they didn’t think he could sing.

“He wrote that for you.” I turned around to see Emma smiling at me.

“What do you mean?” I wasn’t confused, but I did want to know what she meant.

“The day before he was going to Romania he went in his room and started writing that song. That’s the first day I started to like you.” I smiled.

“Next on Miley Stewart and Emma Ryan!! Yes Emma Ryan as in Jake Ryan’s sister.” He did the biggest smile (our cue) so we got in position and the music started playing.

Emma walked out and began to sing.

Amber’s POV

“Next up Amber Addison… as some of you may know Amber was on singing with the stars.” Everyone clapped and I could feel myself smiling.

“So here’s Amber Addison!” I jumped up and ran to the stage. The music began and I started singing “I’ve Got Nerve” by none other than my best friend… Hannah Montana.

I finished my song and got lots of clapping, but not a standing ovation like Jake, Miley, and Emma had gotten. I just smiled and walked off the stage and Miley and Emma came up to me congratulating me. I just smiled more then went to the dressing room where Ashley had been waiting and a tear came down my face.


“Oh my gosh Amber!! Did you break a nail?!”

Chapter 9
Amber’s POV

I heard a lot of crying, but I wasn’t sure who it was so I went around looking until I heard it was coming from the dressing room Amber and Ashley were in. I knocked on the door whispering, “Amber are you okay?” she opened the door then shock her head. “No.” I walked in.

“I have a question.” I said while sitting down.

“What stinky?” Ashley said nearly laughing her head off.

“Why do you guys treat people the way you do?” Amber who had originally been looking up looked down to her feet and Ashley, who obviously didn’t have anything to say was mumbling. “Uh... because...” Then she finally got an answer. “Because we aren’t supposed to hangout with poor people.”

Ashley had no clue that I was not poor. “Is that all?” I said while getting up.

“Pretty much.” I frowned. “Okay… Amber I hope you feel better.” And with that I walked out the dressing room to see Lilly standing there.

“Everything is going to change after tonight.” She looked down. “We will always be friends right?” She started to get teary eyed which made me get teary eyed.

“No because we will always be best friends.” We hugged and both started laughing. Emma came running around the corner. “Miley, Miley we are on!!” She pulled me and started running to the stage.

On the stage I heard the guy say, “Next up Miley Stewart and Emma Ryan.” We ran out on the stage singing “A Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton and got another standing ovation.

30 minutes later

This is the very first talent show I’ve been to where they tell you “You didn’t make it to the next round.” Thank goodness Emma and I were still in the show.

1 hour later

We were in the last stages of the so called “talent show”. Want to know who are competition was?? Jake Ryan. It seems the judges and audience wanted to see a brotherly sisterly rival, but boy was everyone in for a treat. Jake performed and I gave the announcer guy a card saying that Hannah Montana was going to be making a “surprise” appearance.

The time came for Hannah to go on stage… it happened so fast. Emma and I were singing “Nobody’s Perfect” and when we were at the end I remember making a little speech.

“Like the song says Nobody’s Perfect… and the truth is nobody is perfect. Through the last year or so, most of the paparazzi and fans have been wondering why you never really see me Hannah Montana at the store, restaurant, or even the mall. The truth is you always see me at the mall, but have never paid any attention because I wasn’t Hannah Montana, but a girl with a completely different name.” I pulled my wig off.
“I’m Hannah Montana.” There were so many flashes I probably could have gone blind if I hadn’t been used to it.

“The reason why I had this whole different person is because I wanted to be a normal person like everyone else who wasn’t so called “famous”. If I had been Hannah all along I wouldn’t have the great friends I have now. Some of you may know my friend Lola, but the truth is she’s a normal girl like me named Lilly Truscott.” Lilly ran on the stage and the audience started clapping… I couldn’t help but smile. “Oh… and if you may have seen that guy named Mike Standley, well that’s just my friend Oliver who is somewhere in the stadium.” I heard running… of course it was Oliver.

“There are two other people I would like to say something about. First there is my brother Jackson. A few months ago there was a rumor about us being Jacksannah… the only reason why I gave in was because I was trying to help my annoying brother out.” Everyone started laughing. “Lastly there is my dad… Robbie Ray. He’s always been there and I would just like him to thank him. Thanks dad.” Everyone started clapping… I smiled then went backstage where everyone seemed to be in shock. Everyone but Jake that is.

“Why did you do that?” I looked up and all I said was. “So people could see the real me… I mean I always gave away clues and I promised my dad I would tell everyone one day… so I guess I didn’t want it to end up being ‘A Broken Promise’.” The announcer guy called Emma, Jake, and I to come up to the stage. When we got to the stage he told us it wouldn’t be fair for us to actually win the talent show since we all had voice coaches and were basically professionals so he gave us the 5,000 dollar check we would have won to give half to a charity and half to our school. Works for me.

Chapter 10
Miley’s POV

It had been officially two weeks after the whole tell my secret incident.
Things were going better than ever... Jake and I had finally gotten back together, Emma and I still performed as duos sometimes, Emma got a recording contract and her cd comes out in a month, and the weirdest thing of all… Oliver and Lilly are a couple. I smiled to myself. I knew this would happen eventually.

“Miley!!” I jumped up from my bed and ran downstairs.

“What?!” He had a tear in his eye.

“Miley… dad was in a car wreck.”

No no no!! Ten seconds ago my life seemed perfect, but now it was anything but perfect.
