Miley: (Stares in horror at the sign) LILY!!!! Look!!
Lily: Oh this is so cool! You get to be Emalina!
Miley: (Steers Lily away from the rest of the class) No! Not cool! Lily, it's a musical!
Lily: So what?! You have an amazing voi..........
Miley ( Raises eyebrows)
Lily: OH NO!
Miley: Now you get it? If I sing my best for Mr. Corelli everyone will know that I'm *Lowers voice* Hannah Montana and if I don't I'll make an idiot of myself in front of the entire 8th grade!
Lily: This is really bad! What are you going to do??
Miley (Bites lip) I really don't know.

Mr. Corelli: Class, as you can see, I've posted the cast list of our new play Poor Little Orphan Girl!
Oliver: (leaning over and whispering to Miley) Miley, what are you going to do? It's a singing role and the main one! Everyone's gonna know if you slip up.
Miley: *Sarcastically* Thanks Oliver
Lily: Nice job! Way to make her feel better!
Oliver: Sorry! *Mutters to himself* Just tryin' to help.
Mr. Corelli: The lead of course is gonna be played by our very own lovely, Ms. Miley Stewart!
Miley: (buries head in arms)
Lily: You'll have to excuse her Mr. C, (holds her stomach) Upset stomach!
Oliver: Yeah, you know those southern folk-
Miley: (Glares angrily at him)
Oliver: *Says very fast*.....Are lovely lovely people
Miley: *Angrily* Nice save
Lily: NOT!
Miley: Mr. Corelli, I'm sort of....uhhhhh.....
Mr. Corelli: Yyyyeeesss??
Miley: I have.....Stage Fright! Yeah!

Lily: *Saying really fast* Oh yeah! You should have seen her in the 1st grade production ( Holds hand over mouth) GRUGGHHHH!
Miley: *Says angrily* Thanks Lily
Lily: (Shrinks down in her seat)
Amber: Awwwwww.... Is the wittle wee Miley scawed?
Miley: No!
Ashley and Amber: Prove it! Oooooo! Sssss (Kisses finger and touches each others finger)

Miley: (Runs in after school) Daddy! HELLLPPPP MEEEEEE!!!
Robby Ray: Hey Bud, what's wrong?
Miley: What's wrong? WHAT'S WRONG?!!
Robby Ray: Darlin' are you gonna keep shoutin' or you gonna tell me what happened?
Miley: (Whips out the cast list) THIS is what happened!
Robby Ray: Wow! Congratulations Bud! The lead role! I haven't had a relative in the lead role since your Uncle Earl starred as the Wolf in The Boy who cried Wolf
Miley: No Daddy! It's a musical!
Robby Ray: Oh. I see what's wrong. Your afraid the kids at school are gonna find out that your Hannah Montana
Miley: Yes! Dad, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place! If I sing great everyone's gonna know that I'm Hannah Montana! If I sing horribly, I'll humiliate myself!
(Jackson walks in)
Jackson: I hear that disaster has struck in the form of Corelli's Musical
Miley: Not now Jackson!
Robby Ray: Don't worry darlin' we'll figure somethin' out.

(Miley approaches Mr. Corelli who is asleep at his desk)

Miley: Mr. C?
Mr. Corelli: Wahh! Lasgna! What? Oh Miley, how's my star?
Miley: Actually, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I don't think I can do the role.
Mr. Corelli: (raises eyebrows) Why?
Miley: *stutters* Uhhhhhh.....It's against my religion?
Mr. Corelli: Nice try Miley, but you'll get over your stage fright.
Miley: (holding her thumbs up) Riiiiggghht. Stage fright, you got it.

Miley walks out of Corelli's office and to her locker where Lily was waiting

Lily: So... any luck with Corelli?
Miley: Nope.
Lily: Why didn't you try harder?!
Miley: Lily. what was I supposed to say? Mr. Corelli I have a secret identity and I don't want to do the role for fear that that identity will be revealed so would you please give the role to a kid who only has one life?
Lily: (Shrugs) It's a start.
Miley: Lily......
Lily: Alright that was a bad idea. So what now?
Miley: (Gritting her teeth) I'm going to have to do it.
Lily: You wouldn't!
Miley: I have to.

Mr. Corelli: Miley! Hello Miley? Your up!

Miley: (Looks at script) Oh woe is me, I have to clean chimmneys and there are three, Who wrote this?!

Miley: *Says really fast* And it's awesome!

Miley: *Starts to sing better* I can do anything cuz I'm an orphan girl!

Lily: Well she almost figured it out!

Miley: But.....We don't have understudies.... Who's going to be Emalina after I leave?
jackson: why does that bother you?
miley: because jackson....I have to do something! mr. corelli's worked so hard on this musical no matter how much it stinks. and i don't want it to go down in flames!
lily: *comes in through backdoor* and there are gonna be talent scouts there miley! c'mon! Don't be so cruel to Mr. Corelli! He doesn't know better.
Oliver: Miley, Lily's right. Mr. Corelli and the rest of the cast doesn't deserve to get bailed on.
Miley: *crosses arms angrily* Alright! I guess you are right. I mean, I have practiced this role for 3 weeks.
Lily: See? You can't leave!
Miley: But guys! My secret!?
Lily: Miley. They can't really accuse you of being Hannah Montana
Oliver: Yeah. They have no proof
Miley: *rolls eyes* Yeah just because they have cameras filming there and talent scouts that came and watched Hannah Montana preform LIVE. No your right! No proof at all!
RR (Robby Ray): Bud, your friends are right. You shouldn't just leave like that
Miley: But Dad! This is the only way I can be a normal kid! What happens if this blows it? Face it Dad. I'm about to blow my cover!
RR: C'mon Miles. Look on the bright side.
Miley: Yeah, like what?
Lily: Like.....the fact that Miley may not be able to preform but somebody else can......
Miley: What are you thinking?
