Posers are probably very unhappy people who are very insecure with who they are, and need to pretend they are someone else to feel better about themselves. It's annoying, and anyone with an ounce of sense knows they aren't real, but you have to feel sorry for them, because it's likely they are miserable people. =] If you ignore them, they serve no purpose and back off.
