Chapter 1

The teacher drew the state of Illinois on the blackboard.
"OK class, this is where we're going for the Winter Field Trip!" Mr. Maloney said. "But that's where the snow is heaviest!" Lilly whispered to Miley. "I know! This is going to be horrible," Miley replied. "May I mention that this is also a Ski Trip?" Mr. Maloney added. The class cheered. "...BUT, we are going to stay in cabins." He finished. The class groaned. "Uggh, why can't we stay in a hotel?!" Lilly complained. "I just hope we don't get paired up with Amber & Ashley." Miley said. Oliver raised is hand. "Are there going to be bears?" He asked. "Yes, possibly." Mr. Maloney said. The room fell silent. "That is why you shouldn't leave food out for bears to scent, and follow to our cabins!" Mr. Maloney warned, looking at Oliver. Oliver slid down in his seat. "When will we leave?" Sarah asked. "Tomorrow!" Mr. Maloney said. There were protests.
Amber: "You expect me to get ALL my stuff together by TOMORROW!?"
Some guy: "I hope i don't forget my inhaler!"
Sarah: "I don't have suitcase! They are made out of trees, you know!"
"Enough! I expect everyone here, and ready tomorrow for the field trip." Mr. Maloney ordered. The bell rang, and they were dissmissed.

Chapter 2

Everyone was in a line to get in the school bus. "How long does this line go?!" Lilly gasped. "To the equator," Miley said. "Did everyone pack warm clothes?" Mr. Maloney shouted. Most of the kid's hands went up, except Amber & Ashley. "You mean we needed to pack .... coats and stuff!?" Amber gasped. "Duh," Miley said. "How dumb can they get?!" Lilly said, shaking her head. Lilly, Oliver, and Miley finally got on the bus. "It's going to take forever to get there!..." Miley groaned. "Yeah ... it's pretty much across the country." Oliver explained. "I can get bus-sick!" Lilly said. Miley went over to the next seat. "That's nasty," She said.
* * * * *
Hours and hours and hours later...
"We're here!" Mr. Maloney announced. They were in the woods. By the time they got there, it was dark. Half the kids were asleep already. They got off the bus. "I can't wait to get to bed..." Miley sighed. "Miley, Lilly, Amber, Ashley, and Sarah! You are asigned to Cabin 3." Mr. Maloney called. Miley snapped to attention. "Amber & Ashley!?" She screamed. "I don't care," Lilly yawned. "I need sleep." Miley and Lilly walked over to their cabin, while Amber & Ashley stalked behind. "I can't believe this!" Ashley argued. "We have to stay in the same cabin with 3 freaks!" "I'm going to have a word with Mr. Maloney," Amber walked back over. "Mr. Maloney, is there any way we can ... switch cabins?" She asked. "Nope. They are your cabin mates. Deal with it." Mr. Maloney explained. Amber opened her mouth to argue, but he pointed toward the cabin. "March," he said. Amber ran back over. "He won't do anything!" She whined. They heard Miley scream.

Inside...
"This bathroom is dis-gust-ing!" Miley yelled, stamping her foot. She turned on the sink faucet, and yellowed water came out. "Ewww!" Lilly shouted, wrinkling her nose. Amber & Ashley walked in. "What's that smell?" Ashley asked. "It smells like dead rat!" Amber choked. Miley screamed a loud scream. "What is it?" Lilly panicked. "There is a dead rat in here! In the medicine cabinet!" Miley explained. "That's sick, man." Lilly said. Oliver burst into the cabin. "Guys, you have to check this out!" He panted.

I know i'm making Miley into an Amber & Ashley, complaining about the trip! But i will try to tone it down in the next chapter, lol. Anyway,

Chapter 3

Amber, Ashley, Lilly, Miley, and Oliver were outside. "There," Oliver pointed to the snow. "You dragged us out for some stupid snow?" Amber snapped. "No -- look," He pointed again. Miley leaned in closer. "Oh My Gosh," She gasped. "What?!" Lilly demanded. "These are bear tracks!" Miley said. Lilly's eyes got big.
"And...they're fresh." Miley added. Amber & Ashley backed away. "Maybe ... we should ... go back to the cabin!" They ran inside. "That's scary." Lilly said. "I know," Miley replied. "That's why we shouldn't leave the food outside -- Oliver!" Miley shot a look at him. "Why is everybody looking at me!?" He asked. Miley stood up. "There might be bears down in the mountains," She said. "Scary..." Lilly whispered.

At Night...
Everyone was sleeping. But miley couldn't get to sleep, because she was thinking of the bear. Then she heard a scraping sound on the side of the cabin. She sat up. "Lilly?" She said. "Whaaat..." Lilly mumbled. "I hear a noise..." Miley replied. "What...?" Lilly asked. "Some scraping noise," Miley explained. Lilly got out of bed and looked out the window. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She screamed, jumping back into bed. "What is it!?!?" Miley shouted. Amber turned around, and waved her around. "Can't a girl get some sleep?" She groaned. Miley looked out the window. "THERE'S A BEAR!!!!!!!!!" She shrieked. Everyone woke up. "A BEAR!?!?!?" Ashley shouted. "Oh My Gosh! We're gonna die!!!!!!" Amber screeched.

What'll happen? :o Sorry I took so long, I was trying to find pics of bear prints and bears. Anyway,

Chapter 4

"Get a grip!" Sarah shrieked. "The bear is OUTSIDE!!!!! It's not like it's going to come in here!" "But still...!" Amber argued. "Someone could still be out there!" Lilly agreed. "At 2:00 in the morning!?!?!" Sarah said. "I think we should check," Miley suggested. "Are you CRAZY?! The bear could eat us alive!" Amber screamed. "So?! We'll go out quietly," Miley explained, opening the door. "Miley, no!" Lilly shouted. The bear growled. "It's going to come around the side of the cabin, if you don't close that stupid door!" Ashley snapped. Miley slammed the door shut. "Maybe if we make alot of noise, it will go away." Lilly said. Miley and Amber started shouting and stamping the floor. Ashley banged on the windows. They did that until 2:30, when the bear left.

The Next Day...
"You won't believe what happened," Miley told Oliver. Everyone was in the main cabin, eating lunch. "What?" Oliver asked. "A bear was at our cabin! We banged on the windows and shouted like crazy all night, until he left." Miley explained. "That's scary," Oliver said. "I know!" Lilly broke in. "Lilly was hiding under the covers like a baby," Amber said. "Hey!" Lilly complained. "You were!" Amber said. "Anyway...what is this mess?" Miley looked down at her food. "It looks like gray sludge," Ashley commented. "Eww...this is worse than the food at school." Oliver said. "These carrots are moldy!" Amber screamed. She threw one over her shoulder, and it hit Dandruff Danny. "Oops, " Miley laughed. Danny threw the gray mess at Amber, but it hit Miley instead. "GROSS!!!!" She gasped. "Food Fight!" Someone yelled. The food started to fly. "Take this!" Miley threw a handful of peas at Sarah. Amber and Ashley ducked under the table. Then a few more people came in with snowballs. One hit Ashley in the back, and she screamed.
"Now this is enough! You've just got here yesteday, and you already started a food fight!"

A/N: I don't know if bears run from loud noises; correct me if i'm wrong.It's not a very suspensful ending, though....

Chapter 5

All of the kids were cleaning the main cabin. "Way-to-go, Amber. " Miley snapped. "It's not my fault they're trying to poison us!" Amber screeched. "Oh, yeah; Liver-Werst (sp?): Pretty Poisonus." Oliver said. "Don't get smart with me," Amber muttered. Ashley stood up. "Well, i'm outta here," She started for the door. Miley stood up. "Wait! Mr. Maloney told us to stay here until the place is --!" The door slammed after Ashley. " ....clean." "That's one person down." Danny sighed. "Don't you get it!? They're trying to drive us MAD!" Amber pointed out. "What?! Are you crazy!?" Miley gasped. "Gross cabins; moldy food; gray sludge for lunch! It's all falling into place. They are going to brainwash us!" Amber explained. "That's the dumbest thing I've heard in my life," Miley shook her head. "This trip is driving you mad. Not me," Danny said.

That afternoon...
All of them stood in front of the cabins with their backpacks. "Okay people! It is time for a hike," Mr. Maloney announced. "Let's go!" They set off into the woods. "Choose a partner so you won't get lost," Mr. Maloney instructed. Lilly jumped to Oliver's side. Miley stared at them, and paired up with Sarah. "Let's ditch this," Ashley whispered. "No way," Miley said. "You'll get lost, and the bears will get you." Oliver commented. "No way," Danny shook his head, making dandruff fly. "I'm not getting eaten!" Lilly looked around. "Where are we?!" She panicked. "Everyone's gone!" Oliver gasped. They stopped walking.

Chapter 6

"Where are we?!" Lilly asked. "I don't know. Somewhere in the woods." Oliver replied. "Thanks, Dr. Obvious!" Miley snapped. "We need to find the others," Sarah pointed out. "THANK YOU! Now let's stop talking about it and get moving!" Ashley barked. "I don't know...shouldn't we find shelter? It's getting dark already." Miley said. "It's bad enough we're lost without wandering around in the dark." Lilly agreed. "Fine. But we'll need a fire and food." Amber said. "Relax, we'll only be here a night!" Miley reassured. They started walking again, glancing around for shelter. "Wait! Right there, right there!" Miley pointed at a small cave, that led underground. "That doesn't look very...big." Lilly muttered. "What if there's ananimal inside?" Danny suggested. Oliver grapped a stick and walked over. "Be carefullll!" Lilly squealed. Oliver poked the stick inside. "Nothing," he announced. Miley walked closer. "What's that smell?!" She gasped. "I don't know. Maybe a fox lived here," Oliver shrugged. "You expect me to crawl into an old fox set!!??" Amber & Ashley screamed. "Here," Miley crawled into the entrance. "See, it's not so... holy guacamole! That's stanky!" Miley backed out and stood up. "See?!" Amber shouted. SNAP! "Wait! Didja hear that?" Miley asked. They were silent. SNAP! "It sounds like a twig snapping," Oliver whispered. "BEAR!" Miley shrieked. Everyone ran off screaming, in diffrent directions.

Chapter 7

Miley found a cliff. She slipped, and grapped a branch. "Oh no!" She screamed. An avalanche started.

Miley found a cliff. She slipped. She grapped a branch. "Oh no!" She screamed. An avalanche started.
