A Shoulder To Lean On. <My 3rd Fan Fiction!

This is basically a “three-quel” to my fanfic series. It picks up where my last one left off. If you haven’t read my second you WILL NOT get this first chapter. Chapter 1: Best Friends?

Miley walked into school with a smile on her face.

“MILEY!” Someone yelled and she was suddenly taken in with hugs from two people.

“Lilly! Oliver! Hi! I missed you guys so much.” She squealed.

“So you’re all better?” Lilly asked her.

“Yep! I got my wound bandaged up and I have to take medicine every day but yeah I’m all better.” Miley said.

“That’s awesome! Let’s get to class.” Oliver said.

After class Miley met Lilly by her locker. Lilly was screaming into her cell phone at someone. She slammed her phone shut and looked up at Miley.

“Oh, hey Miley.” She said.

“Lils, what’s wrong?” Miley asked.

“I just…I hate my life and my parents and I wish they would just get out of my life!” Lilly said, banging her fist on her locker.

“Lilly don’t say that!” Miley said, “What did they do to deserve all you yelled at them?”

“They invaded my personal life and I hate them!!” She screamed.

“Lilly, people are staring, calm down.” Miley said, “Just relax and think about what you’re saying.”

“Miley, you just don’t understand what I’m saying! Just leave me alone.” Lilly said, running off.

Chapter 2: It’s my fault!

It was movie night at Miley’s house and Oliver had come over, but not Lilly. Miley went over to make popcorn and looked out the kitchen window. There was so much rain, she almost couldn’t see through it. But she saw palm trees being forced backward by strong winds, and people trying to get their cars to start.

“I hope this storm settles down soon.” Miley said.

“Yeah, I know.” Oliver said, holding up two movies. “So which one will it be?”

He was holding up The Terminator and Pride and Prejudice.
“Terminator.” Miley said instantly.

They were halfway through the movie when there was a knock at the door.

“I’ll get it.” Miley said, pushing herself up.

When she opened the door, she was shocked. Lilly was standing on her doorstep soaked from rain. Her clothes were muddy, and her face had quite a few cuts and scratches on it.

“L-Lilly?” Miley asked, “What-?!”

“Miley, I’m so sorry for the things I said to you yesterday,” Lilly said in a choked voice. “I didn’t mean any of it. And I’m sorry for just showing up like this, but I didn’t know where else to go and I was so scared Miley.”

Lilly sunk to the ground in tears, sobbing into her knees. Miley knelt down next to her, and put an arm around her shoulder.

“Lilly,” She said in a soothing voice, “Calm down, let’s get you out of those muddy clothes, you can borrow some of mine. Stop crying so hard, you’ll be okay.”

She took her friend into her room and let her pick out a dry outfit. Lilly kept saying "It's my fault, it's my fault." quietly to herself.

Chapter 3: The accident.

Lilly came out of Miley’s bathroom with dry clothes on and wiped her wet face.

“Thanks for helping me out Mile.” She said.

“No problem.” Miley said, smiling, “Why were you out all alone during the storm?”

“I was…” Lilly said, “It was horrible.”

“What happened Lil?” Oliver asked, “You can tell us.”

“Yeah, you can tell us anything.” Miley said.

“Ok, well…” She began, “My parents were driving to the movie theater with me. My dad was driving, and as we turned onto the highway, it happened.”

“What?!” They both yelped.

“A big truck crashed into ours, head on.” Lilly said, tears coming to her eyes, “I remember seeing a big flash of lights, hearing my mom screaming, a loud boom sound, and darkness. I woke up with a huge gash on my neck and cuts all over my face and hands.”

“Wow, Lilly.” Miley said softly.

“I went over to see if my parents were alright but neither one was moving. I tried to call 911 but my dad’s cell phone was busted. I just sat there for a few minutes crying, and then someone saw me and stopped their car. They offered me a ride and I didn’t know where else to go but here.” She said, a tear trickling down her cheek, “My parents are both dead and I don’t know what to do anymore.”

“Oh my god Lilly,” Oliver said, “I’m so sorry.”

“You can stay with me Lils,” Miley said, hugging her, “Until we get this all sorted out.”

“Thank you so much Miley. You’re the best friend anyone could ever have.” Lilly replied.

“You’re always welcome here, don’t forget that.” Miley said. “Let me go ask my dad, be right back.” She said, getting up and leaving the room.

“Lilly, I can’t imagine how awful you must be feeling.” Oliver said, quietly, “I wish I could do something more to help.”

“All you need to do is be the best friend and boyfriend I’ve ever had.” Lilly said, pulling his head forward and kissing him. “That’ll help out.”

He laughed and then they were silent for a few minutes. After a while, Miley came running back into the room, jumping up and down.

“My dad said you can stay for as long as you want!” She squealed.

“Yay!” Lilly cried, “We’ll be like sisters now!”

“My dad just left to go to your house and get your stuff.” Miley said.

“Thank you both for helping me,” Lilly said, “It means a lot.”

Oliver came over and they did a group hug.

Okies, I wrote a lot in the car on the way down to Florida so I'll post it right now!

Chapter 4: A New Face

Miley and Lilly went to school the next day and Lilly was still wearing some of Miley’s clothes. She sat down in front of Miley in Science class and waited for class to start.

“So, I heard that Little Lilly is an orphan now.” Rico said.

“Shut up, Rico.” Miley said.

“What a snappy comeback!” Rico teased, “So what is poor Miss Truscott going to do now she has no parents to take care of her?” He asked in a high baby voice.

“I said shut up! You little insect!” Miley yelled, standing up in her chair. Oliver came over to her too.

“Or what? Gonna tell on me? Gonna get me in detention?” He asked, mockingly.

“Or else,” She said, throwing a punch that knocked him to the ground, “I’ll do that.”

Rico got off of the ground and his nose was bleeding heavily. “What was that for?”

“Never tease my best friend!” Miley yelled.

He got a tissue from the front of the classroom and sat back down, glaring at Lilly and Miley. Lilly turned around and smiled at her friend.

“Thanks.” She said.

“What are friends for?” Miley answered.

After school, they got on the bus and went back to Miley’s house. There was a boy standing outside when they got there, talking to Robby Ray.

When Miley approached her house, she looked at the boy closely. He was very cute, she had to admit. Woah, he’s hot. Who the heck is he? I’ve never seen him around my neighborhood before. She looked at Lilly who was looking just as confused as she was.

“Oh hey Mile!” Her dad said when he saw her, “This is Derrick Henley. He just moved in next door and he’s you and Lilly’s age.”

“Hey Derrick.” Miley said, giving him a little wave.

“Hi Derrick, I’m Lilly.” Lilly said.

“And I’m Miley.” Miley said, smiling.

“Hey,” He said, “Do you guys go to Seaview?”

“Yeah.” They both said.

“I’m going to start there tomorrow. Maybe I’ll see you guys.” Derrick said, smiling slightly.

“Cool.” Lilly said.

“Thanks for stopping by Derrick.” Robby Ray said, waving as he started down the sidewalk to his house.

Derrick waved back at them and Miley could have sworn she saw him smile at her.

“Come on Lilly!” Miley said, walking into her house and up to her room. “Omigod! He was cute!”

Lilly laughed. “Miley, you think all guys are cute. Except Oliver.”

“Well, he is especially cute.” Miley said, “And I hope I see more of him very soon.”

“I hope you do too Miley.” Lilly smiled.

They took about an hour or so to do their homework. Then Miley looked at her clock and gasped.

“Lilly! Grey’s Anatomy comes on in 2 minutes!” She shrieked.

Lilly’s eyes opened wide, “What are we still doing here?”

They ran downstairs and Miley had to wrestle the remote out of Jackson’s hands. They turned the TV on just as the theme song started.

Grey’s Anatomy was Miley and Lilly’s favorite show in the universe. They watched it every night. And when Lilly wasn’t at her house watching it, they were on the phone watching it at their houses.

About 15 minutes into the show, the doorbell rang. Jackson answered it.

“Hi, can I please see Miley?” A guy’s voice asked.

I'm so sorry guyz! I kinda wish I had never opened this thread. I wish I'd just left it where it ended in Help me when no one else is there. It's really ahrd for me to keep up with so many things.
1. I'm on vaca at the beach
2. I'm trying to read the HP book
3. I don't want to be on my computer all the time since I'm at the beach.
4. I have summer reading to do

Okies, it's kind of short but here it is:
Chapter 5: No way!

Miley went back to watching her show with Lilly. Jackson came over and bent down next to her.

“Derrick Henley is here to see you.” He said.

Miley leaped off of the floor and fixed her hair so it looked perfect.

“No way!” She said, “Why is he here for me?”

“I don’t know, go talk to him!” Lilly cried.

Miley walked over to the door and saw Derrick standing there looking cute as always.

“Well hello Derrick.” Miley said, trying to look and sound cute, “What brings you here?”

“Hey Miley.” He said, “Sorry to bother you because I know we barely know each other, but I was wondering…Would you like to go out with me?”

“You want to go out with me?” She asked, turning to Lilly who’s mouth was hanging open. “Sure! I’ll go out with you.”

“Great!” He said, his smile widening, “I’ll pick you up on Friday after school.”

“Alright,” Miley said, “Bye!”

She closed the door and jumped up and down.

“OMIGOD!!!” She screamed, “Lilly, come with me now! I have to tell you something!”

She pulled Lilly upstairs to her room.

“Miley! We’re gonna miss Grey’s Anatomy!” Lilly said, when Miley closed the door.

“This is more important than that!” Miley said.

Lilly gasped at her friend’s words. “Spill.”

“Ok!” Miley said, smiling widely, “DERRICK HENLEY ASKED ME OUT!”

Lilly’s jaw dropped! “Oh my gawd!!! That is so worthy of missing Grey’s Anatomy!!”

Miley and Lilly jumped up and down for a while and then Miley started to worry.

“What’s wrong Mile? You just got asked out by a hot boy, what could you be worrying about?” Lilly asked.

“I don’t know. It’s just kind of odd, don’t you think?” Miley asked, “I mean, the guy barely knows me at all and he’s already asked me out?”

“What’s so weird about it?” Lilly replied, “Maybe the reason he asked you out is because he wants to know you better.”

“You’re so right Lilly!” She squealed, “I can’t wait for this date!”

“I know I’m right.” Lilly said, “What guy wouldn’t want to get to know you?”

“Thanks so much Lil.” Miley said, hugging her friend.

For the rest of the night, the two girls sat on Miley’s bed dreaming about what would happen on her date.

Chapter 6: “I never want to see you again!”

Lilly left Miley’s house shortly afterward and since it was only 8:30 decided that she’d go over to Oliver’s house. She hummed her favorite song as she walked down the street. For some reason she felt happier than she had for a long time and yet she didn’t quite know why. She couldn’t wait to see Oliver tonight. She couldn’t wait for him to smile that adorable smile at her and kiss her with his amazing lips. She turned into Oliver’s driveway and stopped in her tracks, the smile fading slowly from her face. Oliver was sitting in his living room, she could see him through the window. He was on the couch smiling widely, but not for the reasons he should be smiling for. His arms were wrapped tightly around a black haired girl whose face Lilly could not see. Lilly’s mouth fell open as Oliver leaned forward and kissed the girl fiercely on the lips. She moved closer to the window and Oliver opened his eyes mid-kiss and saw her standing there, looking aghast. He jumped up from the couch and the girl followed his gaze to where Lilly stood. Lilly could see that the girl was Becca Weller from her English class, Oliver's ex-girlfriend. Oliver ran outside and walked towards Lilly.

“Lilly,” He said, trying to sound calm, “This isn’t what it looks like. Let me explain-“

“Shut up Oliver!” Lilly screamed, fighting back tears, “I can’t believe you would ever do something so horrible! I never want to see you again!”

“Lilly!” He yelled as she took off running. She could hear him calling after her as she ran as fast as she could back down the street. She didn’t stop running until she reached Miley’s house, where she rang the doorbell. Miley’s smiling face greeted her as she opened the door.

“Hey Lilly! What…” Miley’s smile slid off her face as she saw Lilly’s face, “What happened?”

And then the tears came, Lilly could not hold them back. They came in loud, wet, sobs. Lilly tried to explain what had just happened with Oliver when Miley came forward and hugged her tightly. She led her inside and into her bedroom. Lilly collapsed onto the bedroom floor and couldn’t find the strength to get back up. So she lay there, crying while Miley stroked her hair gently.
