"AAAHHH!" Lilly cried. "MILEY! STOP!" Miley laughed.
"Chill out, Lils. It's fake."Lilly cringed at the sight of the plastic spider being thrown on her. Sure, it was fake, but she still hated spiders!
"Miley, don't EVER do that again. You about scared the heck out of me," Lilly said.
"Well, it's a week from Halloween. You better be ready to get ten times more scared than that, 'cause we're goin' trick-or-treating," Miley said back to her best friend.
Lilly, on the other hand, was uneasy about trick-or-treating. A) Weren't the girls too old for trick-or-treating? and B) Last year when Lilly went out on Halloween night, the scariest thing in her life happened to her. Old Man Charles' house, the scariest one in the neighborhood, came across their path. Miley forced Lilly to go in, but Lilly refused. Miley said everything she could, including, 'Omigawd, Lils! Hot guys in the haunted house!' and 'Omigawd, Lils! Hot dogs in the haunted house!'. What got Lilly to budge was 'Lilly, my Dad's coming! He's got on his Superman costume and he's yelling your name!'. Luckily, Miley came with her. They both sprinted into the haunted house. The first thing that was in it was a robotic dog that was barking its head off. Lilly screamed at that. The robot dog chased them into the creepy TV room. The room was filled with green must and worms and a TV that was flickering on and off. Lilly was okay with worms--but Miley hated them. So, they ran into the bathroom. That's when thing got scary. The toilet was repeatedly flushing, and the bathtub water was running. Oh, and the sink was squirting out silverfish. They tried to find the exit, but they were unsuccesful. After thirty minutes of searching, they finally got to the doorway out.
"Lilly! Lilly? Lilly!" Miley yelled.
"Huh, oh, what, sorry," Lilly said.
"What the heck was going on in that brain of yours?" Miley thought out loud.
"Thinking about what YOU did to me that Halloween."
"Well, it's not my fault you get embarrassed easily!"
"And it wasn't even a Superman costume," Lilly mumbled.
"WHAT did you say?"
"It wasn't a Superman costume."
"Oh, come on, the Superman costumes were expensive! We had to get Batman."
"Miley," Lilly started, "I couldn't care less." Miley was kind of offended by that. She was very proud of her dad's Batman suit.
"Whatever. So, what are you going to be for Halloween?" Miley asked.
"Rocks are awesome."
"What?"
"No, I was just saying, I'm going to be a rock for Halloween," she replied. "You?"
"Oooh! I could be a plant that... you know, blends in with your rock." Miley nudged Lilly in an 'Isn't that a good idea?' kind of way.
"A GREY plant?" Lilly asked, half laughing at the sight of it.
"Sure! It could be an old plant with little grey hairs sprouting out everywhere," Miley remarked with happiness. Now, Lilly was starting to get grossed out.
Ding.
"What was that?!" The two girls spun around.
"Sorry, girls! I'm just trying to fix a clock!" Robby Ray yelled from the kitchen.
"Well, then, Dad, that didn't sound like a healthy ding."
Lilly laughed.
Miley mouthed, "That wasn't a joke!"
He said, "Well, duh, that's why I'm fixing it!"
This time Lilly really laughed. "Your dad can't pull off the 'Duh' phrase very well."
"I know. He's a sad, sad, man."
"What do you want to--"
The girls were interrupted by a ker-ash.
"Sorry ' bout that, old clocky! Woops... that's gonna leave a mark."
Miley and Lilly both ran to assist Robby Ray. Miley got worried.
"Are you okay, Dad?"
He chuckled.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I was talking about it would leave a mark on the clock." He gestured to a big pile of mush. Well, it wasn't exactly mush, it was a bunch of tiny, broken pieces of clock lying on the floor that looked like mush.
Lilly thought she heard the beep of a car outside. It was late, and she was supposed to be home an hour ago.
She and Miley walked out to the front porch.
"Lilly! Get in the car!" said a manly voice.
"Coming, Dad!"
"This ain't your dad, it's your mom."
Miley and Lilly both had horrified looks on their faces. After they snapped out of it, Lilly said, "Bye, Miley."
All of a sudden, the phone rang. Miley waited on the front porch for her dad to say, "It's for you, Miles!" Well, her wish came true.
"Miley, it's Oliver!" he yelled.
Miley got confused. What? Oliver never calls!

Miley rushed to pick up the phone. She was curious to see what her second best friend had to say.
Miley: Hello?
Oliver: (long pause)
Miley: HELLO?
Oliver: Oh... um... sorry, Miley.
Miley: Were you feeding your pet sock again?
Oliver: Yeah. (laughs nervously)
Miley: So, why'd you call?
Oliver: Hold on, be right back.
Miley: (hears toilet flush)
Oliver: Sorry... I'm... back.
Miley: Olive, are you okay?
Oliver: Olive? Where'd that come from?
Miley: Just a new nickname... especially for you.
Miley could tell exactly where this was going--and she was kind of upset; but happy at the same time.
Oliver: (laughs) Thanks. Hey, anyway... I need to tell you something, Miles.
Miley: Miles? What's that?
Oliver: (imitates Miley) Just a new nickname... especially for you.
Miley: (laughs)
Oliver: Anyway, yeah... I gotta tell you something.
Miley: What?
Oliver: It's something special...
He was so hitting on her.
Oliver: It's something I've never told anyone before...
Miley: You're dating Lilly, Oliver.
Oliver: Yeah, but, I'm not really into her anymore.
Miley: Why don't you break up with her?
Oliver: I will eventually. Just don't tell her, okay? Her heart would be broken.
Miley: Okay, I won't. Promise to break up with her soon, okay?
Oliver: 'Kay, Miles. By the way, I never got to tell you what I wanted to.
Miley: What is it?
Oliver: I love you.
Miley: You're so sweet.
Oliver: Thanks. You are, too. Bye, bye, Miles.
Miley: Bye, Olive.

Miley thought, That was an interesting conversation. But, what do I tell Lilly?
"What was that all about, Miley?" Robby Ray asked his daughter.
"Nothing..." she said dreamily.
Miley went upstairs to her room. She saw the most frightening thing she'd ever seen.

On her wall, in black, dripping letters, was written 'NOT A GOOD IDEA.' And her mascara was crumbled into little pieces on the floor.

Miley stood there, mouth open. She was too scared to say a word. She didn't move, but her eyes darted across the room. Every corner, every desk, every chair. Nothing else was different. Just the wall.
Then, she thought, What the heck am I doing in here?! I should get out before there's any more hauntings!
She ran to the nearest room that wasn't hers--Jackson's room. He was sitting on his bed jamming out to his iPod. He looked pretty silly in his blue jean capris and his "Rock On" T-shirt doing the head-bob and humming to a song.
"Jackson! JACKSON!!!!!" Miley screamed.
He glanced up and jumped because he was scared. Who was he scared of? Miley. She never came into his room. It was strictly against his very own rules.
He pulled the plugs out of his ears.
"What do you want?" he demanded.
"C-c-come into my room," she stammered.
"What, does it have green slime all over it?" he asked.
"No, it's worse than that."
Jackson noticed that his sister was very frightened, so he followed her. He walked through the beaded dangling things hanging from the doorway. Jackson glanced around her room. Nothing was different.
"This is lame, Miles. Nothing in your room is different."
But Miley still saw the same exact writing.
"Look, it's right there!" She pointed to the spot where she saw the creepy text. She didn't DARE go near it.
Jackson still didn't see anything. Miley was beginning to feel more and more scared. She wasn't sad, but she felt like her heart just ripped.
She thought of all the possibilites:
1. Jackson was lying; he DID see the writing, but he didn't tell her.
2. She was just imagining things.
3. She was the only one who could see it.
But, she was thinking that it was number three that was the correct answer.
Jackson remarked, "Miley, you're so terrible at lying. I don't see a single thing."
Miley just gave up. It was no use. Jackson would never believe her.
"Fine," she admitted. She was actually lying for Jackson to not think that she was lying. "I'll admit it. I was faking it. There's nothing different in here. But just in case... can I sleep in your room tonight? I'll bring a sleeping bag."
"What's in it for me?" he asked.
"Uh... lots of love from your one and only sister?"
"Not good enough. But, fine. I'll let you sleep in my room."
Miley walked downstairs to talk to her father about this mess.
Suddenly, the phone rang. Weird, she thought. It just turned midnight and the phone's ringing.

She rushed to pick up the phone before Jackson or Robby Ray did. Maybe it would get the scary thoughts out of her mind.
"Miley?" said a voice.
"Yeah?" she replied.
"Miley, I need you help."
"Okay, but first... who are you?"
"Oh, sorry, this is Lilly. I was too scared to say my name."
"Scared? You have no idea."
"Why are you whispereing?" Lilly questioned.
"Sorry."
"Wait... are you scared also?"
"Yeah. See, the thing is, Oliver called about an hour and we had a really long conversation and, yeah, you don't need to know about that, but then I went to my room and there was this creepy writing on my wall that said 'NOT A GOOD IDEA.' and it was really scary so I went to Jackson's room and then brought him to my room but then I think he didn't see it because I'm the only one who can see it but maybe he was lying--I don't really know, but then, I went back to his room and asked him if I could sleep in his room with a sleeping bag and all but it took some begging but then he finally said yes and then I started thinking about Oliver again but it was really creepy because it was 11:59 but then you called at midnight so I got really scared but I picked up the phone anyway because I thought it would take the scary thoughts out of my mind and apparently it did--then I realized it was you." Miley took a breath from her half-hour long story.
"Umm... am I supposed to pretend to understand?"
"Yes."
"Okay, yeah, whatever. But, anyways, the reason I'm scared is because after my mom-dad picked me up from your house, well, in the car my three brothers were screaming their heads off about pizza, so we went to Papa John's to get a slice but after we realized they were out of pepporoni then we went home and after they were all put to bed I went to my room to watch some TV so I chilled on my bed and turned on MTV but there was a really, really, really creepy message that said "I'M COMING." so I started yelling for help and my oldest brother didn't see it; he just saw MTV so I was thinking that maybe I was the only one who could see it but then I asked Dad if I could sleep on the couch but then I realized that's a bad idea because I'd just be getting closer to the TV and it might haunt me even more than the time in my room so I begged him if I could sleep on the floor in his room because I was too scared to sleep in my own room because it might be creepy again but then it was 11:59 and I started thinking about Oliver and how much I loved him so I wanted to talk to you about him but then I realized that would be kind of rude so I tried to turn on the TV again but then I immeadately turned it off because I realized that was a stupid so then I called you meaning to talk about Oliver but then I forgot about it because I was so scared but then I was so scared that I forgot to introduce myself like Mom always taught me."
"Umm... Lilly? I didn't undertsand a thing you said because you were blabbering your fool head of at lightning speed," Miley replied.
"Well, whatever. So, I heard you said Oliver in your story. Tell me about that."
"Uhhh... he needed science help."
"But it's the summertime."
"Okay, I lied. He needed to learn how to feed a pet sock."
"But... he's showed me. Right before I called him, I made a quick stop to his house."
Miley began to worry. Had he broken her heart?
"Was he... diferent in any way?"
"No, why would he be?" Lilly replied.
"No reason. You know, sometimes he's unusual, if you know what I mean."
"Yeah, but that's why I love him."
"Okay, um, I didn't need to know that."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"Look, I have to go, Lils. It's really late."
"Yeah, same here."
Lilly hung up, but Miley couldn't seem to. The phone refused to hang up.
Miley decided to ignore it. She didn't want to be getting any more chills than she already had, if it was possible.
She thought about her crazy night. She probably wouldn't have to worry about Oliver--he'd break up with Lilly sooner or later. She just hoped that Lilly would be mad at her, which she probably would.
She'd have to think of a story--a story that Lilly would believe. Like "It's all just a lie, Lilly. He broke up with you because he thought he wasn't good enough for you."
Miley shook the depressing thought out of her head and got dressed to go to bed. On her windowsill, she saw a note...

She was surprised, sad, ecstatic, mad, and in love; all at the same time.
"That's the sweetest thing a guy has ever done for me..." she muttered under her breath and flopped on her bed. All of a sudden, she realized she was still in her room. She now had a nickname for it--Death Place.
She tip-toed out of it and into Jackson's room. He was playing video games. He didn't notice Miley walk into his room; he was too obsessed with his game controller.
Miley yelled his name repeatedely, and on about the sixth try, he woke up from his video game phase.
"Look at this note."
Jackson read it over and over.
"Wow, Miles. This guy really cares about you."
Miley sighed a sigh of love. She realized something bad, though, after about five seconds; she was dating Oliver. What would she do? Also, she never thought about what would happen for Halloween. What would happen? If both boys arrived at her house, there would be lots of fighting going on. And she still couldn't believe Oliver hadn't broken up with Lilly yet.
Wait... was Oliver cheating? No, Miley thought. He wouldn't do that. Oliver's a good guy. Or is he?
Jackson realized that his sister hadn't spoken for three minutes--her record! Well, he didn't care. He went back to shooting video game cars.
Miley didn't care how late it was and if she was in her pajamas--she was going to Jake's house. But, what do I tell him? Do I tell him that I love him? Or do I tell him that I'm dating Oliver?

Miley walked out of her creepy house and onto the street.
She walked for about five minutes on the dark, eerie road.
It was beginning to get cold, so she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her pajamas.
After each step, she kept getting more and more nervous. Although, she knew exactly what to say.
After two more minutes of grimly walking, she finally reached Jake's huge mansioan. Their front yard was massive. I'm sure they won't mind if I walk across their lawn... Miley thought.
She stepped into the damp grass and back around the house. She remembered this house--the last time she visited it was six months ago right before Jake left for Romania.
Jake's room was on the second floor, so she had some serious climbing to do.
She found a very tall tree. She tried to pull herself up with her arms, but she was unsuccesful. It scratched up her hands and she fell down to the ground. Miley was a determined girl, so she tried again.
This time she was succesful.
She swung her leg over the limb and stood up. She looked down. She remembered that she was afraid of heights, so she quickly turned her head upwards towards the top of the tree.
After three minutes of climbing, she was finally at the top of the tree.
She felt something nibbling on her fingers. She yelled silently. This time, the bite became stronger. She screamed, "AAAHHH!!!"
She was worried that someone heard her.
Apparently, someone had. She heard some fumbling in the room nearest to her. Then, she saw a light flicker on. She heard someone walk across to the window. She held her breath and ducked further down in the tree.
The person in the room unlocked the window. They had a hard time opening it, but they managed. They opened the blinds.
Miley couldn't see, because the sky was too black. But, she did hear a voice call, "Who is that?"
She knew that voice from anywhere. She trembled with joy. Her fingers were starting to get tingly.
"Jake?"
"Miley? Is that you?"
She didn't answer; she was too happy.
There was a pause before either one of them said anything.
"Here, grab my hands and I'll pull you down."
Miley followed Jake's intructions and in no time, she was safely in his room.
They were both smiling like crazy. After about thirty seconds of just eye messages, Jake took Miley's hand and lead her to his bed.
They both sat down.
They were both too stunned to say anything.
Finally, Jake said, "Miley..."
She didn't reply.
He gently put his hand on her right shoulder. Then, he softly lifted up her left hand.
Their faces both moved in closer to eachother. Miley felt an energy that she'd never felt in her life before.
Pretty soon, they were kissing.
They softly pulled away from eachother.
"Jake, I missed you so much."
"I missed you too, Miley."
She smiled. She wanted to leap for joy; she was so happy.
"How was Romania?" she asked.
"Uhh... very crazy. Very, very crazy. Frankie Muniz came and threw a fit when he figured out that I'd taken his part. So, the director let him be an extra."
Miley laughed quietly. She had seen the movie, and in fact, she liked it. A lot. But, there was a kiss with another girl in it...
"How'd the kiss go?"
Jake's cheeks turned pink. "Kind of like this." He demonstrated by gently kissing her on the lips.
They both laughed when it was over.
Now that they were both okay with eachother, Miley blurted something out. "Jake, I have to tell you something. Extremely important."
"What is it?"
"Well, I'm not only Miley Stewart. I'm someone else, too..."
"Okay..."
"And she's not just a normal person. She's a celebrity."
"Which celebrity is she?" Jake played along.
"Hannah Montana."
Miley. Couldn't. Believe. It. She had just reavealed of her life to Jake Ryan!
Jake just sat there, dumbfounded. "Wow." After he was normal again, he asked, "How come you never told me?"
Miley thought about that. "I'm going to be completely honest with you, Jake. I never trusted you back then. I'm telling you now because I trust you."
He didn't answer. He just smiled. So did she.
She checked the clock by Jake's bedside.
1:46.
"I... I have to get going."
"I'll walk you home, Miley. It's too dangerous out there."
They both walked to the windowsill and sat down. While Jake was looking away, Miley turned his head towards her and he kissed her.
A group of rowdy boys in a car were nearby, so Miley tried to ignore them. Somehow, she just couldn't. She felt someone was in there that she knew.
"Miley, whuchoo doin' makin' out with another dude?!" said a guy from the car.

Miley walked out of her creepy house and onto the street.
She walked for about five minutes on the dark, eerie road.
It was beginning to get cold, so she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her pajamas.
After each step, she kept getting more and more nervous. Although, she knew exactly what to say.
After two more minutes of grimly walking, she finally reached Jake's huge mansioan. Their front yard was massive. I'm sure they won't mind if I walk across their lawn... Miley thought.
She stepped into the damp grass and back around the house. She remembered this house--the last time she visited it was six months ago right before Jake left for Romania.
Jake's room was on the second floor, so she had some serious climbing to do.
She found a very tall tree. She tried to pull herself up with her arms, but she was unsuccesful. It scratched up her hands and she fell down to the ground. Miley was a determined girl, so she tried again.
This time she was succesful.
She swung her leg over the limb and stood up. She looked down. She remembered that she was afraid of heights, so she quickly turned her head upwards towards the top of the tree.
After three minutes of climbing, she was finally at the top of the tree.
She felt something nibbling on her fingers. She yelled silently. This time, the bite became stronger. She screamed, "AAAHHH!!!"
She was worried that someone heard her.
Apparently, someone had. She heard some fumbling in the room nearest to her. Then, she saw a light flicker on. She heard someone walk across to the window. She held her breath and ducked further down in the tree.
The person in the room unlocked the window. They had a hard time opening it, but they managed. They opened the blinds.
Miley couldn't see, because the sky was too black. But, she did hear a voice call, "Who is that?"
She knew that voice from anywhere. She trembled with joy. Her fingers were starting to get tingly.
"Jake?"
"Miley? Is that you?"
She didn't answer; she was too happy.
There was a pause before either one of them said anything.
"Here, grab my hands and I'll pull you down."
Miley followed Jake's intructions and in no time, she was safely in his room.
They were both smiling like crazy. After about thirty seconds of just eye messages, Jake took Miley's hand and lead her to his bed.
They both sat down.
They were both too stunned to say anything.
Finally, Jake said, "Miley..."
She didn't reply.
He gently put his hand on her right shoulder. Then, he softly lifted up her left hand.
Their faces both moved in closer to eachother. Miley felt an energy that she'd never felt in her life before.
Pretty soon, they were kissing.
They softly pulled away from eachother.
"Jake, I missed you so much."
"I missed you too, Miley."
She smiled. She wanted to leap for joy; she was so happy.
"How was Romania?" she asked.
"Uhh... very crazy. Very, very crazy. Frankie Muniz came and threw a fit when he figured out that I'd taken his part. So, the director let him be an extra."
Miley laughed quietly. She had seen the movie, and in fact, she liked it. A lot. But, there was a kiss with another girl in it...
"How'd the kiss go?"
Jake's cheeks turned pink. "Kind of like this." He demonstrated by gently kissing her on the lips.
They both laughed when it was over.

Miley was very startled. "Who-who-who are you?!" she cried out the window.
"I'm Oliver. Oliver Oken, who leaves the ladies heart broken," he replied. "Kev, stop the car," Miley heard him say to the driver.
"Kev" did as told and stopped the car--on Jake's lawn. Jake made a confused face. "Miley, what the heck is going on?!" he demanded.
"Chill out, I'll fix this," she replied.
Miley watched Oliver jump out of the car and slam the door. He sprinted towards Jake house and climbed the same tree Miley did. He put his hands on the windowsill and jumped into Jake's room. His eyes looked tired.
"Miley, you been cheatin' on me?" he asked.
"No, because I never really loved you."
"WHAT?!"
"I never really loved you. Besides, you're cheating on Lilly. She doesn't deserve that. She's a good girl."
"I'm sorry if you think that, but I love you."
He moved in to kiss her. She pushed him very hard.
"Ow! What's your problem?" he asked.
"Go away, Oliver. Okay?! Go away. Now."
"First, let me take care of a little something-something." Oliver clenched his fists and stared at Jake.
"Be careful, dude, he's drunk! He'll do anything!" said the famous "Kev."
Miley gulped. She didn't want either of them getting hurt.
Oliver raised his fist and gave Jake a whopping punch in the face.
Jake gasped and hit him back. Everything was happening so quickly. Miley had no time to think about anything.
Jake grabbed her hand and jumped out the window with her. Pretty soon, gravity plunged them down to the ground.
Jake started sprinting towards Miley's house.
"What's wrong, chicken boy? Running away from you fears?" Oliver asked. He started acting like a chicken. That's when Jake got really mad.
"Well, duh, only smart people would run away from an idiot like you!" Jake yelled.
Miley was very startled. Her second best friend and boyfriend were in a heated fight. And she was pretty sure that she'd be hurt by the end of the night.
Oliver couldn't think clearly. He sailed down from the window to the car and told "Kev" to start it.
In about five seconds, Kev's jet black car was chasing after Miley and Jake. Oliver kept telling Kev how to drive--which way to turn, how fast to go. Miley knew this was the scariest thing that has happened in her life before--except the creepy writing on the wall, of course.
Kev was swirving and speeding and turning and lurching. He was drunk, too.
However, Jake and Miley kept getting closer and closer to Miley's house.
Jake started running as fast as he could. He was pumping his arms so hard, Miley thought they just might fall off.
He put out his hand quickly, but, Oliver/Kev's car ran into it. Jake didn't feel anything until, "Jake! Omigawd! Are you okay?!" Miley said, worried.
"Yeah, just... ow," he replied. He saw blood coming from his finger. It wasn't a serious injury, but it was pretty bad.
Miley realized that her life was messed up. And she had a Hannah concert tomorrow evening. "Oliver!" she yelled. She didn't know what to tell him. "Oliver!" she tried again.
"What?" he yelled.
"Stop, okay?" she said.
"No, sorry. I'm determined to get you and your little boyfriend no matter how hard it is."
"But... I thought we were friends."
Oliver thought about that, even though it was currently hard for him to think. He realized that he and Miley were friends, until things started happening so fast that he couldn't think again.
After one more minute of chasing, the group of boys and Miley and Jake saw... LILLY?!?!?!

Kev abruptly stopped the car. Miley screamed because it almost hit her.
"Lilly, wha-wh-what are you doing?" Miley asked, out of breath.
She answered, "My mom got really mad at me. It was scary, Miley. I don't want to go back to that house." Lilly pointed her finger in the direction of her home.
Jake was breathing so hard, it almost sounded like he was going to cough up a hairball.
"Why'd she get mad?" Miley questioned.
"I came home late."
"Oh."
"Yeah. So... can I sleep at your house tonight?" Lilly asked. Then, she realized that Oliver was in the car that her attention was focused on.
"Oh, Oliver!" she called.
"Lileeey," he replied.
"Umm... haha, I'm Lilly."
Oliver collapsed to the flooring of the car. The rowdy gang of teenages roared with laughter. Some even pumped their fists.
"First one down!" said the guy sitting next to Oliver.
"Guys! It's not funny!" Jake spoke up. "You probably won't understand this, but... what are you doing to yourselves? You're just giving yourself brain damage. This isn't funny. At all. If you think underaged drinking is cool, well, you're wrong. It's stupid. Idiotic. You could really kill youselves from it. So, I suggest you safely go home and stop your drinking."
"Look, dude, we don't care what you say," a guy from the car shot back.
Miley looked at Lilly. It was dark, but it was very apparent that she was crying.
"Lilly, Lilly," Miley said comfortingly. "It's gonna be okay." She realized that this probably wasn't a good time to tell her that Oliver was cheating on her.
Lilly sniffed. "I can't believe. He's DRUNK!"
"Lilly, you don't deserve this. You're better than him," Jake tried to comfort her. "He's just a low-life jerk."
Jake's word were too harsh for Lilly's sensitive feelings. "I thought I loved him," she sobbed.
Miley knew Lilly was hurt. And Lilly knew Lilly was hurt. Lilly rested her head on Miley's shoulder.
Jake tried to comfort the two girls by coming in the middle of them and putting his two arms around each of their shoulders.
Lilly softly put her head on Jake's firm shoulder.
Miley loudly coughed, notifying Lilly that Jake was her boyfriend.
Lilly did as she was told. Or should I say "coughed."
Kev, the leader of the group of boys, said, "Y'all can have your love fest later. We're leaving."
He sped off into the dark night.
Lilly watched the car leave and cried, "Oliver's in that car."
"Calm down," Miley told her.
Lilly tried to calm down; she just couldn't. She was too sad.
After there was lots of hugging, the trio went back to Miley's house.
Jake and Lilly would both spend the night there; Jake would sleep on the couch, and Lilly would sleep on Jackson's floor, like Miley.
After they were just about to go to bed, they heard a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Miley yelled to Jake from upstairs.
"I don't know, but it sure doesn't look like Oliver!"

"Well, Jake, just don't answer it, ok?" Miley commanded.
"I'm just going to see who it is," he replied.
Miley heard him open the door before she could say anymore.
Jake twisted the brass doorknob and opened the door. He poked his head outside, but he didn't see anything. He looked left and right, but he still didn't see anyone/anything. He looked up. He looked down. Well, he found the person when he looked down.
"Dude, I'm right here!" The small kid raised his arms above his head. He had a twisted look on his face.
"Who are you?" Jake demanded.
"I'm Rico. Listen, I saw you and Miley kissing. I don't ever want to see that again, because she is my woman. You got that, buddy?"
"Well, I should be allowed to kiss my girlfriend."
"She's your GIRLFRIEND?!" Rico yelled.
"Ummm... do I know you?"
"No... but I will be back. MWAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Jake watched Rico stroll down the blackening street.
"Weird," he thought out loud.
"Who was that?" Miley yelled from downstairs.
"A little kid named Rico," Jake replied.
Miley came [b]boling[/i] downstairs.
"WHAT DID HE WANT?!" she screamed right in Jake's ear.
"Ow... and he said he didn't want me kissing you anymore."
"Well, watch this," Miley said. She grabbed Jake and started kissing him. Jake was pleased. When she let go, he laughed.
"Ummm... okay," he chuckled.
"What, you don't like my kissing?"
"No, I um... love it! Just kind of odd... time," he replied.
"Night, hun," she said.
Hun? he thought. Man, I love this girl.
Miley walked back upstairs. She flopped down on her bed and whispered to Lilly, "I am so in love."

In the morning, Lilly got up pretty early. She went in Miley's room, and saw something/someone sitting at the desk.

The person seated at the desk had black, scruffy, long hair, and he was staring right at her.
"Lilly."
Lilly didn't say anything. She was too shocked, mad, and scared. He had betrayed her too many times. Saying he would call and didn't, arriving thirty minutes late for every single date. She refused to talk to him.
"Lilly," he repeated. "You're here."
"I know," she finally replied. She couldn't resist.
He leaned back in his chair. "Didja miss me?"
"No," she replied. He's so full of himself.
"Well, you should miss me now," he said, "because I'm not here."
She clenched her fists. Liar.
"But you're right here!"
He nodded his head. "Bring Miley in here."
Lilly stood there for and extra second, then headed out the door. She walked across the hallway to Jackson's room. Miley was still sleeping.
Lilly bent down to Miley's level and starting shaking her. "Miley! MILEY! Wake up!!!"
Miley woke up, confused. "Huh, what, okay, huh," she murmured. She lifted her head up off the soft pillow.
"Oliver's in your room!"
"So?" Miley asked. She was too tired to get up.
"No, really, just come on." Lilly shook Miley hand, indicating she wanted her to get up.
Miley groaned and got up. "What does he want?"
"I don't know. But he told me to get you."
She limped across the hallway. She was sore from the previous night.
When she got in the room and saw Oliver, she woke up.
"OLIVER?!" she yelled.
"Shh..." he said. "Your family, and JAKE, is sleeping."
"Whatever. Why are you here?!" she demanded.
"He's not," Lilly chimed in, with a smile.
"Okay... wait, what?"
"I'm not here," he replied.
"Explain."
Miley was confused. How could he be "not there" when he was sitting in a chair five feet away from her?
"I'm dead."
Everyone was silent. It had seemed like the whole house went dead.
Miley stood with her mouth open. So did Lilly.
After about one minute of silence, Miley finally spoke up. "You're not DEAD," she laughed. "That's a lie."
Lilly was still in shock.
"No, it's not," Oliver shot back.
"Prove it," Miley said.
"Fine. Read it in tomorrow's paper. Front cover."
"How'd you get killed?" Lilly said when she finally woke up from her phase.
"In the car crash last night. Kevin got so drunk that he finally was swirving all over the place, so our car went off the road."
WOW, Miley thought.
"But, that's not important. Miley, I need to tell you something," he started. "You know how we 'went out' for about three hours? Well, I saw you and Jake kissing. You were cheating on me. Well," he said in a grudgely voice, "if you don't break up with Jake, I'm going to tell the world your Hannah secret."
