Graphic Program Dilemma!

Okay, I've used Gimp for a long time now and I've grown accustomed to it and know it like MS Paint...

Well, I'm buying this writing tablet on Sunday [7/1/07] that comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0!
[yeah, I know, old version, blah blah blah]

My parents say, since our computer has too much stuff in it I can either have one or the other...

Which one should I use?

Please, help!

Well, I use Gimp 2.2, never used Adobe Photoshop Elements any version, I would say GIMP. But, that's just me.

go with photoshop. yes it's different than gimp, but it's a much better program and you will be able to do so much more

I use APE 3.0! I love it so, but I've never used Gimp so... Also it might be old but it work great! (Also take any elements tutorials and you can transluate. It's pretty easy.)

And it comes with 2 other programs;;

I think it's Corel Draw and Adobe Painting Essentials...

You should get Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0. Soo much better than GIMP [no offense]. I've used both ;)

Well, if you're used to GIMP then stick with it.
If you switch you might have a hard time getting used to the new program and you might not be as good.

you could install photoshop and see if you like it and if you dont you can uninstall it and reinstall gimp

But I've done stuff to my gimp now, like add about 1,000 brushes...

you can still re-download brushes. i mean, if you get a new computer, you would still have to transfer all the brushes over.

I think that you should keep Gimp because you know how to use everything on it and in a way photoshop because it works better well actually they work the same just it's able to do more things ..

dont woory, the brushes will still be there, ive doni it like 10 times and the brushes has alwayz been there!
