Gimp Help!!!! Please!!!

I need some help peeps. I have NO idea how to get brushes for GIMP. Well, I have a little bit of an idea. I know where to go to get them. (like deviantart.com) And I even found some that I want for avvies :

After that, I go to My Documents and I extract them, and all that good stuff, but then when I get on GIMP, they AREN'T THERE!!! GRRR! Erm, HELP! A tutorial with pics would help ALOT!

You have to add them by hand. At least, that's the only way I know how to do it. You have to open each one, and click on "Script-Fu", then "Selection", then "Make Brush". You should be able to figure it out from there.
