First I would like to say this is the best website to get info on anything/everything Miley/Hannah!

Now about me........
I am 24 years old and I am a male.

So people on here already know me and if you do then you already know this, but for everyone else.......

Is it wrong that I am a fan of "Hannah Montana"?
I saw the show a few months ago as I was flipping through the channels and then Disney played all the episodes from the begining and I absoulty love this show, it is really funny and ALL the actors/actresses that play on it are
awesome!!

It depends, are you a fan because you think it's a well made show and that Miley has talent, no it isn't wrong. And I believe Disney markets it as a family show anyway, so there are plenty of adults watching it probably.

If you're a fan because you think Miley is hot, then yes it is wrong :).

News flash...I actually am a high school art teacher. And you wouldn't beLIEVE how many "closet Hannah Montana fans" we have in the faculty as well as the students. We talk about Miley and the show all the time. One time I played "Best Of Both Worlds" in class just to see the reaction...90% of the kids looked up in surprise and said "YO! That's Hannah Montana!!!! WOOT WOOT." We all just chuckled when we realized we were all fans.

Anyway, I come to the forums to get the latest updates, not to chit chat with the younger fans. But, I do post vids and info for y'all whenever I come across them because I know many of the younger members have a harder time finding vids and such.

Another teacher and I both heard the same interview on like FoxNews a few months ago when they were talking about up and coming disney stars. The panel mentioned Miley specifically, and compared her and the other new Disney stars (i.e. Ashley Tisdale, Hilary Duff, Corbin, etc etc) to "old Hollywood" like Carey Grant, Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sintatra, etc etc...because all the new Disney stars are so talented and are a tight nit group. And that Miley will lead them into being the next HUGE thing in music, television, and movies. So, yes...adults HAVE taken notice of her and what an amazing young lady she has become.

Try your best to ignore them. Plus I'm sure they like something for a younger age group... if they tease you for liking HM, remind them of what they like... that's the best advice I can give. I'm not the best with advice.

It's completely normal. My grandpa and I were flippin' the channel, and that's when we saw the commercial for HM. He and I watch it like...every Friday, and my grandpa's like...60! I watch murder shows and like...baby shows [no, not Blue's Clues, I mean like how babies are born] and a lot of....graphic shows, especially on Discovery Channel and Discovery Health. There's nothing to be ashamed of. If you like Hannah Montana, then it's normal, but if you like Miley for the 'looks', then switch the channel back to the Simpsons, because that's wrong in so many ways.

^^ Oh wait, Smiley....I think you got us confused....I'm the teacher, but I'm female and not the one who started the thread.

But, yes....someone older watchin it because they are thinkin Miley's hot...THAT'S where the problem is for me...along with sittin and chattin too much with the younger fans on the site. Like I mentioned before, I generally don't chat with the younger members, but rather...just post things such as vids and passing on 411 for those who have a harder time findin things on the net.

One of my classes and I talked about this before....if Hannah Montana WASN'T on Disney, but on a major network like ABC, CBS, NBC...no one would say it was a "teenager" show. A reporter on Entertainment Tonight once compared it to "Full House." And, EVERYone use to watch that when it was popular...just like "Friends."

Hey! I am an 18 yr old male hannah/miley fan! A bunch of my senior year friends are hoping she tours before we all go to college so we can see her live for one last pop concert before college. I have been a pop music fan since the days when "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" (the first BIG Backstreet Boys song) was just hitting the airwaves ten years ago. I think Miley is one of the best, if not the best, teen pop stars I have ever witnessed. I think she has the opportunity to have an amazing career. I think the Hannah music is some of the best pop music I have ever heard, along with the few Miley song snippets and should be allowed to be enjoyed by all ages. Evrafter is right....there are A LOT of closet Hannah Montana/Miley fans out there....especially at my high school. We should take this as a credit to Miley's ever growing star power that her fan base stretches so far! I, personally, am very excited to see where Miley's career takes her....I think she'll go very far!

But, older folks do know...to get the best inside info on a celeb, you find the best of their fan forums. This thread has given us "older" peeps a chance to say, "Hey...Miley's got fans in many different age groups." Just know....THis is a GREAT thing for her career.

I can not really remember how i found out about the show but i have been loving it ever since. The Show is funny, all of the characters are great. When ever i watch a show it ends up being a great show. hannah/miley music i find it is really good i guess all music will hit people on there own personal level. It does seem strange to like kids shows but it is sad when those showsare the only thing good on T.V. But i am not afraid to say I am a fan of something cause it it is set for a younger people.

And nobody can change you from liking Hannh Montana. WE are all addicted, and this is a place where people can come and chat with people that are just like you. I agree with Kenzie. There should be no age limits on the show. Especially the tapings! but, would it be wrong of you were 6 years old and your favorite show was like Law & Order or something? Not to me, to me you don't have to be a certain age to watch things.

Oh hold on now. I was TOTALLY playing around. TOTALLY joking...Of COURSE you can watch HSM. Of COURSE you can think Justin Timberlake is hot and LOVE Kelly Clarkson's music. Absolutely 100%. I was simply showing the whole, "we're too old to like Hannan Montana" in a totally different light by pointing out that we all love Justin and Kelly and HSM actors (who are much older than Miley)...yet we're all different ages. Thus, we older peeps should be able to appreciate Hannah Montana and all it's actors, though younger than us. I was just pointing out that talent is talent. And people with true talent have the ability to span all age groups.

Hey Everyone, its me the one who started this thread. I certianly didn't start it for people to fight, I just simply wanted people's opinion. And I have gotten a much bigger response then I expected, I got so many people on my side and I really appreate everyone that has commented on this, and there have even been other guys my age or around my age that have opened up and said that they like "Hannah Montana" too and I think that is great!!!

Anyway, here's something that I replied with to Grrzzllygrrlll that I think might make it a LITTLE more understandable what some of us older peeps might be trying to say in this thread....

"ya know...here's my reasoning for liking the show. I didn't MEAN to start watching it. I was just bored one night, started flipping channels, and there was a Hannah marathon on. No, I don't generally watch Disney channel...too young for me. But, there's someone about Hannah that's different from the other shows. I simply love the Cyrus family. I admire what they stand for--enjoying life without the party scene (example: britney spears.) Don't get me wrong, I root for britney...I keep hopin she'll turn her life around and get back on track. Anyway...back to what I was saying....With so much violence, sex, and hatred on tv, movies, and in music...it's nice to laugh at the silly jokes and sing along to goofy yet interestingly catchy songs of Hannah Montana. Back in the thread, I mentioned that a lot of kids in my HIGH SCHOOL love HM. Most started watchin with their younger brothers and sisters. But have since got hooked. But, that's the exact point of this thread....we older people don't know why we like it...it just happened...and that says a LOT about Miley and her talent along with the other stars of the show (from the younger stars, to Billy Ray, to the older guest stars)--that such a young show would keep even us older peeps interested. Example: Was over at a friends house gettin my hair cut. They have younger kids in the family, as well. The father walks in from the garage, HM is on..Miley is singing a song, he walks in and automatically starts singing too. He looks around and says, "oh wow...was I just singing that out loud??"

An we're NOT the only adults who have taken notice of Miley Cyrus. Here's the review of the 1st Hannah CD...written...by an adult, no less ;-)

im 16 at the monent and was 15 when i first started watching HM and i watch heroes and all that stuff though i supposes at my age thats just normal etc

but i was watching shows like heroes, lost, house, etc when i was younger like i watched csi with my mum when i was like just 11-12 though she wouldnt let me watch the ocasion epi that was rated Audults only
but i get your pint young people watch shows based for older poeple so why cant older people watch show for younger people

also on HSM and stuff you guys are forgetting that ashley zac and vanessa are a fair bit older than the characters they play and the age group the movie is based for

I'm male, 21 and live in the UK and I love this show, it's funny and Jason Earles is great.
How on earth did he manage to get on to a disney channel show after being in american pie 4.
