CHAPTER 1 - Choosing The Theme
"How about a Bond Theme?"
The entire comittee rolled their eyes. Amber the decided to respond to Ashley comment, "evey school known to man has probably done a Bond Theme."
Ashley frowned, "well I'm the only one making suggestions!"
"I made one," Sarah pipped up.
Miley tiredly sat up and smiled, "and while an eco-friendly dance was a very good idea, it's just not what we're looking for."
The rest of the group nodded.
Miley then continued, "why don't we do pop legends or somthing like that?"
"funny I thought she'd want the theme to be hilly billy!"
Ashley laughed at Amber's remark but Miley irritatedly replied, "what's your idea a mirror party?"
Amber looked towards Ashley trying to have a hint to what the comment meant. Ashley shook her head, thinking that a mirror party would actually be a good idea. She could look at herself all the time!
Sarah then chimed in, "why not just a black and white ball. It's classic but not wanting to be different."
"That's practically the same as bond theme!" Ashley shouted.
"Sorry Sarah but we're looking for origional."
Sarah then retalliated, "but if we go origional, we can waste our resources buying a dress that we'll never wear again."
"I know Sarah, maybe you can comtomize yours?"
Of course Sarah new that meant that nobody cared.
Miley rocked back and forth. As head of the prom comittee, she was supposed to have a theme by last week but as time goes on, all good prom themes are taken.
"Why not the mirror party?" Ashley finally said.
"That's what I was thinking too!" Amber shouted, "that's two votes for the mirror party!"
"No. it was a joke! Now come on guys, let's think of something that will wow people."
"Aliens?"
"What did we tell you Denise."
"Shut up and look pretty."
Amber nodded, "that's right."
Miley glared at Amber. She hated how Amber was clearly trying to run it and be mean to the rest of the committee at the same time.
Lilly then ran in, her skate board in one arm.
"Are you guys done yet?"
"No Lilly, we still have to pick a theme and we'll be dead if it isn't done by tonight."
Lilly frowned, "look I don't wanna be here forever waiting for you, why don't you pick the Oscars or something and get this over with."
The table then looked around and Miley exclaimed, "why couldn't we have thought of the Oscars?"
"Because we were too busy putting other's ideas down?" Denise questioned.
Amber turned around, "for god's sake Denise," Denise looked down as Amber continued, "that's actually a good idea from Truscott."
Miley looked around, "all for the Oscars, raise your hand."
Everyone but Ashley put her hand up.
"Ashley?"
Ashley hand came up in the air while muttering, "I still think the mirror party was a good idea."
