Okay, today...one of my dogs hurt her leg. She needs surgery. I have a whole long story about it, 'cause it's not something that I can just let go of, for many reasons. [I have two new dogs, the story following this part is about my very first dog.]
----------------
Story of My FIRST Dog [and what happened]
My very first dog's name was Kellie. She was a husky-border collie mix.
One day when my mom was trying to get Kellie out of our [tall] car, Kellie jumped out. Now, the car was pretty tall, and my mom would always have to carry her out of it to get her into the house [or at least on solid ground].
Back to when Kellie jumped out.
She jumped out in anticipation of getting back inside, as she had just come back from the kennel. As soon as she landed on the ground, she yelped [very loudly] in pain. Kellie had landed right on one of her hind legs, and as we soon realized, had broken it. She needed surgery.
Now, that doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world, right? Well, just wait. The bad part is coming up.
So my mom and I took Kellie to the vet's office. We scheduled a time to have her get surgery, and that was that.
So she was at some place, where she got her surgery. Then after a while, she ended up coming home with stiches in her leg . The next month or something like that, Kellie got the stiches removed for the second time [the stitches had come out of her leg at one point].
As time passed, Kellie got older. She soon could hardly even walk on her hind leg, which is what's worrying me right now the most. Kellie couldn't go outside or anything as easily, so we had to help her.
It was all because of the surgery.
She died a few years later, but not because of her leg. It was because of cancer, but that's not part of this story.
----------------
So now I'm very scared for Lucy [one of my dogs, whose leg needs surgery]. I hope the same things don't happen to her, because I really don't want to lose her. I still have another dog too, but it just wouldn't be the same without Lucy.
[By the way, my dogs are mixed breeds - Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Lab, and something else...Their names are Lucy and Angel. The sad part is, they just turned 3 years old on March 17th...St. Patricks Day.]
[Also, Lucy had had problems with the same leg before...but it was a bit different. Nothing was broken, it was just hard for her to walk.]
[B]What do you think about this?
Do you think that the same leg problems will happen with Lucy?
Please give me your comments.
[Please do not be harsh about anything. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I just needed somewhere to spill out all my thoughts.]
[And in case you haven't already noticed, I'm VERY sad about this. I was bawling for a very long time, hyperventilating and all.]
Thank you for reading.
