I was just wondering if they are ever going to explain how Miley's mom on the show died. Maybe in the episode where Miley has her surgery and dreams about her mom ?

I didn't know that Brooke Shields palyed her mom. Was thta on anepisode already? Sorty I haven't been up-to-date with the tv. lol

Friday, April 27 (7:00 p.m., ET/PT) "I Am Hannah, Hear Me Croak" -- When Miley wakes up without a voice she learns that she must undergo a surgical throat procedure in order to preserve her Hannah career. In a dream before the surgery she is visited by her mother (played by guest star Brooke Shields) who reassures her that she will get through it with her friends and family by her side.

that means she needs surgery on her throat because her voice box is damaged. If they don't do it then Miley's singing carrer is over.
