KiTTYKAT! YOU'RE BLACK!

In this tutorial, you will learn the BASE of how I do colourizing. KEEP IN MIND, there`s
normally a lot more to it, but that`s more complicated.
We will also turn this picture into better quality.
[1.] Grab your picture/graphic. We`re using one credit to www.play-mania.com (http://www.play-mania.com), and its of

[2]. Go to Filter>Blur>Smart Blur and click it. Your picture should look like this:
http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s235/ophelia_es_muy_calor/Screen%20Shots%20and%20Tutorials/smartblur.gif
[3]. You`ll notice it looks a tad strange. Now, go to edit>fade smart blur, and set the
opacity to somewhere near 58% or so. Your picture should now be this:
[4].Now that we have a better quality, we can work on the actual colourizing. Duplicate the
layer of your pic by pressing ctrl+j or going to layer>duplicate layer
Your little layer box should look like this: [maybe without the background layer]

[5]. On the top, where it says `Normal`, click the drop down arrow, and either select `Soft
Light` or `Overlay` depending on which one you like. Sometimes you duplicate THIS
layer again, and it looks okay. Most of the time, however, it does not. [if you like it
somewhere in the middle, change the opacity of the layer.]

[6]. You`ll see it looks instantly better. Duplicate your layer again, but this time set it to
`Screen`. If it looks to bright, change the opacity.

[7]. Now, we`re getting into `Selective Colour` since this is a fairly simple tutorial, we`re
only going to fiddle with one thing. Go to Layer>New adjustment Layer>Selective Color.
A little box should pop up. Click OK, and a new one will pop up. Since it`s automatically on
the red, change your settings to match mine:

[8]. You can stop here, but if you want to do something extra, follow along. Go to
Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color. A box should pop up, change the Mode to `Exclusion`
and click okay. Choose the color 101E3A or a nice navy blue. Click
okay. Since it was a little much we changed the opacity to `63%` on the layer.

[9]. NOW, you can still stop here, but you can also do more, [credittotheideathanksKaitlin]
by making a new layer. Click the tool marked in red.

[10]. Set the blending mode to `screen` and draw on it with any colour brush you want. I used a soft brush set to 156 px.
