I already know 3 languages, english, part chinese (I'm not sure which one, cuz there's a lot different kind of chinese, the hong kong kind, the china kind, the old kind... etc.. portungese, CONFUSING lolz) and vietnamese, I get them mixed up sometimes.!!

???? I assume you are referring to the different dialects spoken? like cantonese in Hong Kong, China i would assume is madarin chinese though all of the dialects are spoken in china. I think by "the old kind" you would be referring to the traditional chinese characters?? Absolutely no idea whats portungese (portugese) isnt that a totally different language?

Werid. My family justs puts pictures of my grandma and grandpa (from my
mom's side) on this bookcase that's sopose to be a temple table thing. I think
they do that because we can't afford to go back to Vietnam and that most
of my mom's sisters and brothers are in the U.S. and maybe because that my
aunt died 2 months ago. But I'm pretty sure that we can't afford the tickets.
Oh and don't you make food for them? Cause that's what my parents do all the time.
pksllayer
03-21-2007, 11:40 AM
Ahh yes. i think its qing ming 清明 if you use han yu ping yin 汉语拼音
lol. But i dont "celebrate" it normally although i live in a country thats predominantly made up of Chinese . I kinda just go to the columbarium >.< (Singapore has limited land to bury the dead, hence columbariums to store ashes) and pray for my Grandmother. Dont really do any of the offerings because my entire extended family is christian and so was my grandmother so we kinda dont really want to do that sort of stuff.
cutie_girl
03-22-2007, 02:13 AM
well yeah but in Cantonese we saw Ching Ming but i guess i'll fix that
