The 65 episodes guideline is a minimum, not a maximum number of episodes. 65 episodes allows Monday to Friday showing of a show for 13 weeks before repeating. Unless a show is really unpopular, it will go at least 65 episodes.

Its all about marketing and when disney sees that there is a possibility for it to get a large profit, they will extend the show and continue cashing in on ther merchandise and such. But the moment the show's earnings drops below a certain level they will then consider the possibility of stopping it at 65 episodes or less. Just about the money really.

OK Here is the deal. You need 65 episodes of a show for syndication [replaying after cancellation]. Most shows on Disney end there. But so far, 3 shows have beaten it. That's So Raven, Kim Possible, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody [was renewed for 3 season]. Hannah Montana is very popular, and will surely reach over 65.

Do i think it will be extended? No.

It does not matter how much i love the show, by the time the 3rd series comes out, Miley will be around 16 years old. There will be a time when Miley gets too old to be Hannah Montana and the effect will wear off.

Thats just my opinion.. but for now.. i would like nothing more but for the producers to keep the shows coming :D!

Hm..maybe you're right...but maybe not cause when ppl were doing Hannah Montana auditions, Miley said that the part called for a fifteen year old and since it's usually 3 seasons that would take 3 years and then the girl would be 18 and the hannah montana crew must've been aware of that so, maybe it will last longer cause they chose Miley and she was 2 years younger than she was supposed to be(when they chose her).

Hannah Montana is the only 'musical' show so it's funner to watch. I saw an advert for new Thats so Raven, I think it's on Friday or something. But to cancel Hannah Montana would mean major loss of profits on merchandise and stuff. They can sell her CDs again and again if they make her sing different songs and advertise it under Hannah Montana. Lets face it, Lizzie Mcguire wasn't exactly funny or something you could get up and dance to whenever the theme tune came up now was it?

I'm certain there will be much more than 65 episodes. Season 1 had 26, Season 2 will have 33 so total so far planned is 59. There is no way they will limit season 3 to 6 episodes. Hannah Montana is making Disney a LOT of money. This will milk this as long as they can and Miley is willing. And Disney is going to try real hard to keep Miley happy.

that isn't true. I read an interview about it in a magazine and they didn't want her to get older in the show, and she wanted to get out of the kind of like child star mode and go onto more mature things. Also, the 65 limit IS a minumum. Zack and Cody and That's So Raven had more than 65. And if you think about it, 65 episodes is about 2 1/2 season's worth, averageing it to about 25 episodes per season, so there is a very good chance with the popularity and facts that there will be probably over the amout of That's So Raven.

That's so Raven has 100 episodes and has aired 99. The last episode is "Where There's Smoke". It will be coming out sometime this June. They're done filming and Raven-Symone says that she won't be back to Disney for a long time.
