This one is for all the Picture It! users. I made this in PI2000, but it should be close to everyone elses versions, if you know your program ;) We are making this:
http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/fairyglitter33.gif
First you choose a graphic.
http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp01.gif
You have to click on your graphic first, to select it. http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp02.gif
Now go to CROP OR TRIM/CREATE A CUTOUT http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp03.gif
Choose:http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp04.gif
Then click http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp05.gif
And change this number to 0, the default is 2 and sometimes that selects too much of the picture. http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp06.gif
Now click on whatever partsof the graphic you want glittered.
http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp07.gif
You can also click several colors if you want, that depends on how much glitter you want.
And for the versions that give you a choice about "leave in same project" or put in "sepearate project" always choose same! Now in your stack you should have 2 projects, one you just cut parts out of and the first one you opened. Make SURE you click on the bottom one in your stack!! http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp09.gif
You need to now go to your ILLUSIONS http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp12.gif
Near the bottom you will see Texturizer.http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp13.gif
Click on it, then click on http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp14.gif
In the next window you will find these texture options http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp15.gif
You can choose any of them you like, play around and see if you like any others better than the one I used! Choose a direction of light, this is the part that will make your "glitter" move. So you will have choose a different one of each frame. http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp16.gif
I also chose these 2 settings for the texture, again you can play around and see if you like something better http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp17.gif
Now go to FILE/SAVE AS and save your first frame as a JPEG image.
After you save, do NOT close your picture! Click the UNDO button.http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp19.gif
Now you will repeat the steps 2-3 more times. You will apply the filter again, changing the light direction each time, Save as and then UNDO, until you have 3 or 4 frames for animation. To make your animation, close everthing, then go to the Projects tab.
http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q127/bubblegumGFX/projectstab.jpgThen go to the Web button
http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q127/bubblegumGFX/webbutton.jpg
Then click on Flipbook Animation
http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q127/bubblegumGFX/flipbook.jpg
And then select this http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp23.gif
Find your frames and open them http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp24.gif
Click through the first 2 animation windows, don't change anything, then when you get to the size, choose a size http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp25.gif
Next choose a speed (You can play around with this)http://www.marysgraphics.com/picit/glitter/2002/2002gp26.gif
And see what your glitter looks like!!
Enjoy!
