Here is where we will turn this (http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o18/ophelia_es_muy_fresco/befor.jpg) into This (http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o18/ophelia_es_muy_fresco/gridafter.jpg).
1. Open your picture.
2. Duplicate your layer by pressing ctrl+j.
3. Go to Filter>Texture>Patchwork and enter the settings
Square Size - 4
Relief - 0
4. Next, adjust the opacity of the layer between 20-30. Change the blending to Multiply (if you want to). Ad your text and your done! Pretty easy eh? This is my finished product:
