ok, so i have decided i am going to work on making some tutorials for all the photoshop users. this first one is how to make basic avi. it's really easy, and doesn't take long, but it looks cool.
Here's the picture we will be using, but you could use any picture:

1. first, copy this picture, and open a new photoshop document and paste the picture into it. get your crop tool ('c'), and hold down the shift key and draw a box any size you want. double click once you have drawn a box to get it to crop.

2. make a new layer, and then fill it with a light tanish color. it doesn't matter exactly what shade, but the number i use is f0eaa3.

3. now, look in your layers pallet (or look down at the picture where it is circled). there is a menu there, and click the arrow to see it. select 'multiply' and then you are able to see your image again.

4. go to your layers palet, and duplicate (control j) the first layer. drag your new layer to the top. with the new layer selected, go back to the menu we used for step two, but this time click on soft light.

you are now done! i added a heart with a brush, but you can add whatever you want or you don't have to add anything. if you have any questions, just post them here or pm me! good luck!
