hey i have gone to private school my whole life and i have to switch to public in the middle of 9th grade.... can u guys tell me if public is different then private? are the kids nice? will i have a hard time making friends? r they nice to the new kids?

They are nice. There's not much of a huge difference. just start hanging out with others an become their friend

yeah i go to public christian to... but like people act bad they get suspended do drugs so i dont really know b/c people areent that rule following at my private school...

Public is meaner, private nicer. i used to go to a private christian skool and people are way nicer. public people are like cursing other people and not caring. this can cause a problem for me!

at my high school there is at least 2 fights every week and during homecomming this one kid got punched in the head and he had a sesuire (sp?) and he had to be air lifted

we have it tough at our school - my mum sent me to a really nice school but it was christian and i am completely athiest so i told my mum to get me moved and the school i go to now is pretty bad people get jumped a lot ive been in many many fights its kinda hard to achieve in the school im in now as theres not many smart kids but i felt so strongly about the religion problem im still glad i moved

same at my school it really is bad but i good grades at most things which is quite an achievement for a school like mine

public is good, but you just have to meet the right people. some are nice and some are mean. good luck! thanks!!!! well at my school now people curse and curse the teachers and make fun of the nerds and stuff... so idk if it will be that different... and im moving to a small town... there is only 1 high school right now.... so it will be different... and like i mean my school now is pretty bad i mean the kids are sometimes nice but the can get pretty mean! they flip eachother off for fun and this one girl call people sl**s and H**s for fun!!!! she is rude... but yeah so thanks for ur help! and thanks just_like_you_92 to be the 1st to wish me good luck! that meant alot!

i was in private from 5th grade- 8th grade i went to public school for 9th grade (now) and i hate it, next month i am transfering back in to a private school where all my friends go.. and at my highschool now at LEAST 4 kids get expelled every day! but i guess that if you really worked hard your could pull it off.
