Okie dokies, I'm emo. So is my 2nd best friend. Well my friend Tiffany's moving. Her best friend is M.J. (initials...not giving out real name). well with Tiffany moving, M.J. is going to be really really depressed. She is going to go emo. Well I don't want her to. I need to know how I can help her get through her best friend being sent to a foster home. We won't get to talk to her for 30 DAYS. M.J. came in to school today, looking all depressed like me and my 2nd best friend always do. So, the emo transformation has begun. I don't want her to go emo because emo's normally are so depressed they cut themselves. Me and my 2nd BFF don't, but M.J. is probably going to. How can I help her?

wow. umm its really hard losing a best friend... and i think the best thing you can do for your friend right now is let her know that you are there for her. let her know that she can always talk to you and you're always there and such. and try to keep her mind off of it. do as much as you can on weekends. try going to the mall and the movies and hanging out with her at her house and stuff lie that. these might be a hard 30 days to get through, but what she really needs right now is to know she has another friend... and to have her mind get taken off of it. and i know you're worried about her... and as her friend, it is definatly your job to make sure she doesnt cut herself. but with the going emo thing, if thats what she needs to do right now, then that might be what she needs to do. i mean you can try to prevent it by making sure she knows you're there for her and trying to do things with her to keep her mind off it... but it might just be a stage she needs to go through. but definatly try to prevent it, but at the same time, you also have to support her. you have to find a balance of preventing it and supporting it, both at the same time...
~Hope it helps
