He is getting so mean with me and telling me that if I don't do any activities this winter he is gonna punish me all my vacations(since I live in Colombia they are my long vacations),

Well maybe your dad is possibly right with this one? As a teen it is important to get involved with things. Whether its a sport, or a club, or an instrument. just something. its good to get involved with an extracurricular activity for a couple of reasons, you get to meet new people, or spend time with other people outside of school, it prevents you from sitting on the computer or watching tv all evening, it usually helps keep you out of trouble (such as drugs and drinking and whatnot), and it usually gives you excercise or knowledge or a talent, just something. oh, and theres always the plus of extra curriculars look realllyyyyy good on college applications! but there are all these pros to doing activities, so is it really worth getting punished for all of your long vacations just for not doing an activity? when there are soo many choices out there... just get involved in something you enjoy. it'll get your dad off ur back and in the long run you'll be happy you did!
