Okay so my science teacher is having a competition for who can write out and present the best science article. He is doing one and if we are better than he is we get 100 extra credit points!!!

I just finished mine and I have transparencies and everything, but I want to know what you think... His has something to do with monkeys but he wont tell us.

Do you think I might have a chance???

Here:

Is time travel Possible?

My article is trying to explain how time travel is, in a way possible. Actually, time travel is happening all around us. Every second a quite a few tiny nuclear particles called cosmic ray muons will pass straight through you. These particles are too small to feel, but they actually sometimes do damage to you body, which it later repairs. Astronauts in space can die from too much cosmic ray damage, which causes radiation sickness.
Cosmic ray muons are from collisions high in the atmosphere. Stable nuclear particles from the sun and the stars collide with the atmosphere above the Earth. Traveling at the speed of light, about 300,000 kilometers per second, it should take these muons around seven millionths of a second to reach a person on Earth. The only problem is that muons only live for two millionths of a second and so should never reach someone standing on the ground.
Einstein's special theory of relativity claims that the muons travel through time to get to reach us. According to Einstein's special theory of relativity, our lives pass more slowly if we travel close to the speed of light. He has also shown that we live longer if we go and live in an intense gravitational field. Einstein has opened up the future and shown that it is possible to slow down time for ourselves, leave the Earth and come back to meet our grandchildren or our great-grandchildren, but he has not shown that it is possible to come back to the time where we started from. Physicist Steven Hawking has suggested that it is not possible to go back in time because you could kill your own grandmother before your mother or father were born and so make it impossible for you to be born. It is impossible with our normal model of the world, but some scientists have suggested that we inhabit a universe in which there are an infinite number of parallel worlds. So if you go back to the past and kill your grandmother, then you set off another parallel world in which you are not part of the future.
Others have suggested that if time travel into the past is possible then there will be time tourists around from the future visiting us in their past. No one has been known to have met such tourists. There are lots of things that we do not understand that hint that time travel around the universe might be possible.
If we went into the tiny world of nuclear particles, we would find out that that two or more nuclear particles can be entangled together, which causes all sorts of strange effects. Entanglement is a property of the world of the very small when particles emerge from the same event. Two particles of light can become entangled and go one way or another across their direction of travel. These tiny particles merge many of their properties together and we can't be sure of a particular value unless we measure it. There are probably more than three dimensions in the world and these could probably be used for time travel.
One before, just after the Big Bang there was a period of inflation when the universe suddenly grew far faster than the speed of light and spread far and wide.

it's good but, instead of stating what your article is about, get straight to the subject. teachers hate it when you start by stating the subject. also try not to but any "my, me, i, we, you or us" in there. Don't put "in my opinion" because we know it's your opinion. (this is all stuff my english teachers keep hounding us about)

maybe try starting like this....

Time travel is happening all around us.

it's simple and has no useless introductory baggage Also, you have a few spelling, formating and grammatical errors.

Ask your parents to proof it for you. They can probably really help and you'll get a better grade. I can also proof it for you if you want. when is it due?

something else that helps is reading a paper out loud to see if it makes sense to you. :']
