I thought I would make this thread for those people who can't get the videos to work, considering there's tons of threads with the same question(no offence) on how to get the videos to play, here's a solution.

FFDShow-

You can use FFDShow, it is awesome, and it's an free codec\compresser.
FFDShow can view: MP4, AVI, ASF, WMV, WMA, MP3, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, VOB, FLV, MOV, AC3, AAC, and other formats.

VLC Player-

You can also use "VLC Player", it's awesome also, this program is free also.
VLC Player can view: MP4, MOV, WMV, ASF, AVI, and other formats.

DivX Codec-

DivX Codec is play awesome too, I use it durring compressing.
It can only view: AVI, MP4, XivD and other DivX files.

BS Player is BS! That's the wost player of them all to play all these formats.

Zoom Player is the best player out of the three since it supports almost every video format including copyright WMV and almost every audio format including DTS sound and Dobly Digital. Of course Zoom Player needs all the codecs to play the videos since it uses external codecs and that is better because you get to chose what codecs you want Zoom Player to play whether you want to use Divx, FFDshow, Xvid, or even Mastroka.

Of course you have to figure out a way to crack the full version :)

I strongly recommend Mastroka or the Xvid package to play these avi files on this forum.
Divx is meant for faster computers and it sometimes causes problems.
FFDshow is meant for slower computer, but the video quality sometimes suffers.

did you get the HQ video 254mb
1) make sure you have the latest version of divx (version 6.4) http://www.divx.com
2) try another player
3) you will need a fast pc to play this, it is recorded in high def resolution. it's the avi master copy i made from the tv dvd recording
you may need to get the smaller version 183mb

Lol, you really don't know that much about how 5.1 surround works on a computer do you? You can't have true 5.1 surround sound out a video file (let's say Hannah Montana episode for example) that only has 2.1 channels, you can only simulate it! You have to have a video file that uses an AC3 audio format in order to hear true 5.1 surround sound. It doesn't matter what player you use, as long as the video file has 5.1 surround sound capabilities. So yeah, I rather want the video player to load faster and support 5.1 sound than a player that loads slower and supports 5.1 sound as well.

I had BS Player before and that is crap. It doesn't load the video files quick enough, I can't use overlay filters for my monitor, I can't chose what codecs I want to use, and it simply doesn't have that many options compare to Zoom Player.

Windows Media Player is crap, it runs slow, I can't filter anything, and the video quality sucks.

I know I can download lower quality versions of the episodes in WMV, but I would love to keep all of them in HQ (about 100MB or more).

If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

VLC is the best player. I've never had a video not play on it. The only thing it doesn't like is Real, but you can play real files in WMP or Real player anyway. Occassionally i play a video with it and it goes all grainy - but i open it in WMP (NO CODECS DOWNLOADED) and it's fine ;)

I can play all videos from any Miley site without a problem.

VLC also does caps and stuff so it's good if you have a website.

i just wanted to ask a quick question...i'm downloading the episodes on to my laptop & they're working find but when i put the family computer. it doesn't always work out. me & my brother think its because, the computer is a mac. we've tried a couple of different codecs & things....but do you hav any suggestions...that work with macs? it'd be a great help.

Your not allowed to sticky, only mod's are allowed to sticky:D.
They only sticky something which is important for everyone to view and instead of people bumping is and spamming so it will stay on top, the mods will sticky it so it will stay on the top:D.
