Okay we're starting this living and growing project at school (sex ed.)
(i'm not going into detail for u younger guys)
these animated characters on the 1st vid. we watched 2day were nude and it told us different parts of the bodies (male and female)
this is very uncomfortable for a few of us girls because our teacher was saying that everyone goes through ''growing'' changes and mine have started and a few of us girls are getting our periods sometimes next year or the year after.
Do you have any advice on how to feel not so uncomfortable?


Well...everyone feels uncomfortable when you are learning about stuff like this....i know i did! The one thing you can do to help not feel so uncomfortable is to laugh about things...not necissarily this but other things happening in your life....also....

you can ask questions! Talk to your teacher if theres anything you dont understand!

or maybe talk to the teacher alone saying your not comfortable and if its possible to come up with a sign so your teacher knows that you need to leave...Just let him/her know!

If the teacher won't cooperate...talk to your parents...your mum can explain some stuff or she/he can go to the teacher and explain your feelings!

Ya good advice. No one was nude in the video we saw either. The video is to make sure that everyone knows stuff thats happening its a part of life. But yea no one was nude in ours. ;)

Its not all about your size that depends when you start, though. Your genetics really play a role too, but lol sometimes those are off. It is just different for every person. For example my mom started in 5th or 6th grade but my sister didnt start till 9th, and I am in 7th and havent started either.
Haha, at our school we watched one that had Frankie Munez in it, and the girls one had Tia and Tamara Mowry. I guess Disney produced it.:lol:
But the movies arent that bad, and after a few days the kids will move onto something else.

Okee. I know this was really uncomfortable for me. We learned about periods first in 4th grade. In 5th our teacher told us how babies are made. That was the most uncomfortable part. But about you period and stuff, if you don't get stuff, talk to your mom or aunts or even cousins. Every girl gets it at some time or other. It's a part of life. It's not that bad once your used to it. You kinda know when it's gonna happen and stop. I remember when I first got it, I freaked and didn't tell my mom. I kept saying a had a bloody nose when she found tissues in the garbage (I though my mom would notice if I use pads). We went to New York and she told me to wear this mini skirt with WHITE leggings. I was hiding it all day! She found out at the end. Some advice, when you get it your first time, tell her right away!! And if you get it in the middle of the day at school, (this has happened to me), don't be afraid to go to the nurse and ask! I did that the first time it happened at school and I got through the rest of the day perfectly! Just remember all us girls go through it.

trust me, i just learned it this year in 5th grade (GROSS!) but my teacher never taught us all we were supposed to learn (THANK U!) so we never saw all the videos!! but when we learned about the boys and girls parts that was a little weird!! um one tip is to not laugh and if u feel uncomfortable maybe talk to an adult u trust or ur parents

Ugh, in gym when we were in the health class part, we had to learn about that stuff, and I was mature (thank god for that, it was...strange) through the whole video they showed, but most of the girls were giggling and all that, like they usually do.

Well, at least it teaches you something about growin' up!
