Not all mods are permanent, like myself, If we do well then we get to be permanent mods.

Im not "asking" to be a mod or anything, but I think I would make a better mod then any of the new mods.

Just a note. There are more mods because we now have increased security since the attacks and this will stay in place. The new mods are brought in to help moderate new users, who require approval before their posts will be shown on this forum. Therefore more mods are neccessary so that new users may be approved faster. Plus on the weekends, this forum does get a lot of new users and new posts, so it's good to have a few extra mods to help lessen the load since there can be a 1000 posts that need moderator approval in one day. Don't think of it as 12 mods are watching you, they are here to help keep things organized and to mainly help out new users. You may think that some mod is slacking, but in reality they are doing things behind the scenes, such as approving posts of new members, and that's not something you may really notice. But admins do have a log so we can tell who is doing what. Also it will be rare that all 12 would be on at the same time. We picked many, and from different parts of the world, so that we have more around the clock coverage and spread the load out more. Also remember that the mods are fans like you, and they are here to to have fun and also make sure you have fun, and they do work really hard and in all honesty it's not that fun of a job. They're not your enemy and not out to get you, so please don't call them stupid. :)

And for those who applied and didn't get picked, please don't take it personally. It doesn't mean we don't like you or that you wouldn't make a great mod, there were a lot of great choices and unfortunately we can't make everyone a mod, so sometimes it just came down to some little factor like the time that a person is on, or join date, or posts per day, etc. A good way is to also get to know a mod and help out with reporting bad posts and such. But like I said, there are a ton of qualified people here and we do appreciate all those who did apply and when we have more openings, as we will since we will need mods for other parts of the site, we'll be needing those people. :57:
