ok so today i learned a lot of cool things with photoshop so i decided to make a couple of new sets. right now i have only made one and in a couple of minutes i am going to start my next one. my first set is the one i am using right now so check out my sig and avatar. my next set if i dont like it as much as my first any one will be able to use it if they would so plz tell me what you think of my first one. in a while i will post my second one and you can rate that one

i only used a brush to make the energy blast thing and it was just a basic round brush. the rest of the image i did not use any brushes.

the bg i did make myself. and it was fairly simple. i just took a plain white background set the foreground color to black and the background color to white then i did filter-render-clouds. then i did filter-distort-wave and kept all the settings the same except i changed the type to square instead of sine or triangle. then i changed the color to a dull red and duplicated the layer a couple of times. after that i set each new layer to either screen or color burn. i dont remember what each exact layer was set to cause i forgot to save my psd but just mess with the settings of each layer until you get reasults similar to mine if you are going ot try it.

ok, so u did 2 filters on the bg layer, got it, probably I'll post up my result here (I feel like I'm in a graphics forum) i was trying to use c4ds for bg but they are a bit hard to use, anyway tnx

I agree. You don't want the background to be too much cause then the picture doesn't pop out. But you don't want it too boring. Maybe..hmm. Maybe the picture that's red...make it unred. So it will stand out a little more?
