hey has anyone taken the PSATs yet? Are they anything like the practice test and study guide they give you? :33:

My mom said they give you like a study guide and maybe you can take a class
I think only for certain schools i think give study things and let you take a class

I have them tomorrow too. Yeah we got this book "Official Student Guide to the PSAT" and a practice full length test. the study guide book tells the 7 types of questions that are gunna be on the PSAT and it gives you a few tips and things.

yeah well they gave us a study guide... I just wanna know if anyone already took it to see if it helped at all.
and yeah I think I'm going to take the class next year.

10th grade (the grade I'm in) you take the PSATS but they dont get sent to colleges unless you do really well. but they can get you scholarships and the college board sees them... they just wont get sent to colleges unless they are on the line about letting you in and need to see another test
11th grade you take the PSATS and they count
12th grade you take the SATS and they count biggg time!

haha sweet, another sophmore! lol I dont know how much fun tomorrow is going to be! :15: I'm kinda scared actually. :15: The tips in this book arent very helpful... they are like common sense. But they give you sample questions and they are kinda helpful.

Well atleast you dont have to take them this year! and you arent going to fail. and 10th grade they dont count for a whole heck of a lot. and if you fail one of the other two years you can retake them.

ya we just got done with are 9 week testing today!!! yay were done for another 9 weekes!!! do you remeber doing the 9 week test???? or did you do 9 week test???? i dont go to your school

haha no we didnt do a 9 week test... lol. I meant I missed the standardized testing (like the bubbles) that we did in middle school. They were sooo easy!!

@ my school either the sophomores or juniors get it i 4get which. but like we just did testing 2day and all 4 grade levels had a differnt type of test.

we didnt do any testing today but it was cool cuz in math all we did for the whole epriod was talk about our teachers son cuz he was born with diwn syndrom which is a birth defect and he was talking about it the whole timme we actully didnt have any actual work in that class for once
