record yourself singing Hannah Montanna...or whatever else you want!

This was on a couple of Wicked forums and the Rent forum that I am a member of. We can record ourselves singing and share to get comments and some constructive criticism. But please, ONLY constructive criticism, no mean, rude comments. What you can do is record yourself on the recording program you have on your computer. Like on Windows if you go to Accessories, Entertainment, then Sound Recorder and save it. You can also download Freecorder (google it) which is free and does not carry any viruses. It's a great recording program. Then after you have whatever you want saved, upload it to YouSendIt.com. Send it to your e-mail and upload the file, then hit send. After it sends, it will give you a link (it says Here is the link for the file you uploaded: ). Copy and paste that link on here, and we will be able to listen to your file! However, it does expire after 7 days. Also, you can attach a file, just click the little paper clip at the top when you post. Then upload the file from your computer.

Also, I don't know if you are trying to, but even subconsciously you're trying to sound like the chick on the cd. Just be yourself. Each person playing her is gunna have a diffrent voice and diffrent way of singing it. Put your own style into the song. Other than that it was GREAT! :']

I used to have a bunch of clips a couple years ago...i did a online "american idol" type thing with A-teens songs. I made it to the top 4! I dont know if i will do any more...b/c i havent sang in forever

Thanks for the tips! A lot of people have said I have great voice control...but I think I'm losing it. I haven't like really, really sang or practiced singing in a while. My loud and soft is taking what I learned for the past three years in band about dynamics. I like putting dynamics into singing...but I think I over-did it. And I wasn't trying to sound like Idina, I just have a style that is similar to hers...I tried to put my own twist on it but I think you're right, I subconsciously tried to BE Idina. Thanks a alot! You should DEFFFFFFFINATELY record something!

Brittany Spears??? And heck no, no one is better than Idina!!! Well...maybe Eden...ya actually Eden Espinosa is AMAZING!!! But Idina also has such an amazing voice, boy can she belt! Haha! I'll have to record some more later...when the house is empty... cuz my computer is set up like in the corner of a hallway (we don't have an extra room for an office.)

I need to get a mic., but even if I do, I dunno if I'm gonna do this cuz I don't think I'm that good, but my friends think I'm good. At my party last week they wanted to have a singing contest so I was just sitting there, and then they started dragging me up to the front and were like, "sing! you're good! sing!!!!" and I was like, no, I'm bad, then they were like, no, you're great, but I ended up only singing for 2 outta the 13 of them... so, yeah....

You definitely have potential and natural talent, but I would work on it a bit more, I think with paractice you'd be great. Don't get mad, but I honestly saw it as a bland and dull. I think you should use more variety in your stylel, try some dynamics and vibrato. I also think you should feel more confident with your voice and belt it out a little more. But definitely great job, work on it and you'll be amazing!

Hahah, okay don't laugh at me. But I recorded something - Over My Head by The Fray. I have recently become obsessed with them when I heard there song How To Save A Life on Grey's Anatomy. I messed up at the end so..yes not too great. Anyways, I'm not a good singer...so yeah. You can be harsh, I don't really care, I'm not gonna be a singer, so bring it :P. It's pitchy in parts cause I'm loosing my voice so it kinda dies in parts and then cracks in others..so beware :P:

In one line you can totally tell I am from Texas, it sounds so weird. It's also really weird cause when I sing I sing really low, but my voice is like high. I'm gonna be a surgeon so I don't really care to pursue singing cause I'm very good. I just sing for fun :D. Thanks though.

Just stop and then hit record. It makes it longer. So just pick a good time to pause your singing and hit stop then record again and start singing again. ;).

thanks but I'm on note now. That was when eight almost turning 9 which I am now. For my school talent show I'm gunna do When there was me and you sung by Vannessa with all the high notes and stuff my parents will record it.
