This is a growing problem in today's society. People think that they will be more adolescent and considered "cool" if they try marijuana. There's really nothing cool about it. You can get lung cancer and develop asthma. You can also lose IQ points. Not the best thing if you're considering a good career when you're older. So I believe that it would be in your best interest to just say no.

If these "friends" want you to do drugs, they probably aren't "friends" at all. ANy kind of drugs that you do really is like running into a cement wall (haha that one was funny :))or like jumping off of a bridge. you'd probably kill yourself. I know peer pressure is very hard these days, but stay strong for you AND your body...just say NO.

same here!We have to wear our red uniform shirts(I go to private school) all week.They give us bracelets and if we wear them we will be rewarded.Actually,my friends and I just got done with our drug free poster on Wednesday.It is so cool!We even put our hand prints(we painted our hands,lol) and it is just really cool and has our school colors

Whatever you do, don't give in to peer pressure!!!!!!!! Just because your friends do it doesn't mean you have to. Be the bigger person and, "Just say no!" If they really are your friends, then they would respect you and your choices.
Don't follow the crowd, be your own person and set your own trends.

i wear a bracelet to remind myself never to do drugs or alcohol, my grandmother died Jan 15 2005 because of excessive smoking, she smoked for 70 years, at one time as much as 4-5 packs a day. she spent all of her last few years on a breathing machine and it was terrible, she was coughing all the time and she had to use this ventilator kind of thing 3x a day and she took roughly 15 pills daily. if my friends wanted me to do drugs, i'd tell them to take a hike

I would go with the obvious decision of "no." They should also respect that you really want to protect yourself from harmful drugs. Plus, you're not going to be the one with lung cancer someday. They most likely will. It's better to be safe than sorry:). If they don't respect you for your decision, are they really your friends??

Well, at first, dont be mean about it. But you do have to say NO! But try to tell your friends how bad it is for their health as well as yours. Maybe you'll talk them out of doing it too. I know it seems hard to tell them...but thank about it. You could save their LIFE but explaing it to them. If you can, try to convince them and get them out of doing it. If you talk them out of it, then you'll feel better about yourself because you helped saved a person's life. And its really true! But if there like "I can do what I want! If you dont take it, you can be out friend!" then just listen to them about the second part...DONT BE THEIR FRIEND. No one has the right to control you. Unless you wanna take terrible things that are bad from you, dont listen. ;)
